Following on from Halloween, it’s time to revisit a horror show Gameweek from Granville.

Having gathered an array of green arrows in recent weeks, my ScoutCast co-host produced a pair of transfer howlers, watching on from behind the sofa as both Philippe Coutinho and Riyad Mahrez banged nails into his Gameweek coffin.

Jonty and I do our best to dwell on Granville’s misery for as long as possible, before attempting to cheer him up with similarly scary tales from the community in “Rough with the Smooth”.

We then take on your questions, debating Leicester’s legs, United’s decline and whether we can actually tame the Fantasy Football troll that is Romelu Lukaku.

This episode of the ScoutCast was broadcast live on Tuesday evening (before the news on Hector Bellerin’s injury) via our YouTube channel.

      Baines is a good price, but I'd want some evidence of him taking some set pieces and showing the same attacking prowess before taking the plunge I think

                He finished 3rd for PPG for defenders last season behind Ivan and Terry...amazingly...He rallied a bit again towards the back end in an unnoticed kinda way...

        This is a tricky one. Usually in these close calls I opt for the striker but with the extra point for a goal, CS (potentially), and maybe pens? I'd probably go Mahrez - he's currently my captain but I don't own Vardy

          Yes, he's not cheap and he's regressed massively stats-wise. His chance creation and goal threat are not worth it for a 10.7m mid. Especially, when he's been playing awful and when City as a team play better without him!! He really was dropped for the Sevilla game. I expect him to be back for the Villa game but I'm not expecting much, neither do I believe he'll make the 90 minutes.

        Depends on the rest of your defence. I don't see a more bankable clean sheet than United v WBA on current form but 2 FTs could be really beneficial in this period - Internationals / Aguero

          WC in a couple of weeks so no concerns about getting Aguero. 2 FTs may be handy though.

      lots (including me) got rid of him on the WC, after he didn't start 2 games on the trot. I bit the bullet and brought him back in this gameweek. Barkley has good fixtures, though. Anyone else you can transfer out?

    All these cheap to mid-price options are giving me a selection nightmare. Which 3 of these 4 -

    1) Mahrez
    2) Mane
    3) Payet
    4) Ighalo

    Wouldn't have thought it a couple of weeks ago, but getting tempted to drop Payet. My only dual coverage from the above is I have Pelle as well.

    Wijnaldum - Mahrez - Payet - KDB - Sanchez
    Vardy - Pelle - Lukaku

    Obvious choice is Wijnaldum, but I'm being reluctant as I've brought him in post-haul and was expecting more of him, and still am 🙂

        My previous self would play Wijnaldum in a heartbeat. However, my previous self has never been as successful as I'd like. Benching Wijnaldum it is.

      I've been thinking about benching this week in two ways: managing risk or playing with the risk.

      Managing says bench Wijnaldum, as he's the lowest owned player, risking says bench Kane. With ownership of Ighalo and against Leicester, he's out of the question for me.

        id advise against it. kane is starting to hit form and has 5 goals in his last 3 games.

        lukaku is a good option but its pretty sideways

          Hit form against AV and Bournemouth. Obviously his stats are always there, and his production caught up. I just don't like Kane versus Kosc and Mert.
