Dugout Discussion – Arsenal vs Crystal Palace

After Harry Kane and Dele Alli ran riot at Vicarage Road, we now make out way to the Emirates as Arsenal entertain Crystal Palace in the final fixture of Gameweek 19.

With Theo Walcott ruled out once again due to a calf complaint and Mesut Ozil sidelined with illness, all eyes are on Alexis Sanchez to deliver after a number of captaincy contenders turned in some disappointing hauls.

Certainly, a big performance from the Chilean would have a significant effect on the overall Fantasy Premier League standings – he’s been handed the armband by 11.5% of managers.

Arsene Wenger’s decision to retain Olivier Giroud up top means that Sanchez looks set to start on the flank once again. Despite failing to notch at home to West Brom last time out, his underlying stats still afford us optimism – Sanchez registered more goal attempts and efforts in the box than any player in Gameweek 18.

With Wilfried Zaha looking set to depart for the African Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast shortly, we’re monitoring the form of Christian Benteke and Scott Dann and looking for signs of improvement under new manager Big Sam as the Eagles prepare for some promising fixtures from Gameweek 20 onwards.

              What can you do with the extra 3M if you bring in Phillips?

              Phillips has 91 points at halfway stage (5.6M). Phillips 65 points in last 9 GWs.

              I own Eriksen and used to own Phillips (sold in GW15 unfortunately so missed this week's 13) but am considering the move not because I dont think Eriksen can score against Chelsea again (he can), but because I think if I am not going to captain either of them ever (I won't) I'd rather have 3m+ more to invest elsewhere in my side and can deal with Phillips bringing in 10 less points over the next 19 gameweeks if they both return the same amount.

              Ideally I'd like both but with Firmino, Hazard and Sanchez, unfortunately it's a tough call.
