Dugout Discussion – Saturday

Gameweek 26 arrives with a reduced programme of fixtures and a late start but, following the FA Cup hiatus, we will gladly take what we are given.

Fantasy managers will be focused mainly on two venues, as Romelu Lukaku and Diego Costa carry the armband expectations of many.

Everton face basement dwellers Sunderland at Goodison Park having spanked Bournemouth in their previous home outing. Lukaku destroyed the Cherries defence and will be looking to make a similar impact on a Black Cats rearguard which already suffered at his hands back in Gameweek 4 – the Belgian scored a hat-trick in that encounter.

David Moyes’ side are without Jason Denayer through illness, though Jordan Pickford returns in goal. He could be busy.

Meanwhile, at Stamford Bridge, Costa and Eden Hazard provide strong captain alternatives ahead of a clash with Swansea City.

Costa has yet to claim a double-digit score on home turf this season but faces his favourite opponent in the Swans having scored seven goals in four previous meetings. Hazard has provided five double-figure hauls at home, as he looks to follow on from his wonder goal display against Arsenal when last at the Bridge.

Elsewhere, West Brom’s array of Fantasy assets clash with Bournemouth at The Hawthorns, with the 19.5% owned Matt Phillips missing out through injury.

Finally, Crystal Palace look for a vital three points at home to Middlesbrough, while Burnley drop in on the much improved Hull City, as Tom Heaton and Edlin Jakupovic go head-to-head in a battle of two top Fantasy stoppers.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If Brunt doesn't get that assist, I'm done with FPL. If you extrapolate that, it's a lot of players lost. I'm sure FPL don't want that. Spirit of the game, I'm sure it will be added though.

Brunt robbed of an assist and McAuley miraculously gets 2 baps on final update - http://i.imgur.com/xopuXO9.png

7 point swing last week, and 5 point swing this (assist vs 2 baps)

Utterly ridiculous fpl hand out points due to ownership alone.

Completely disagree. I think FPL have made the right decisions so far... and that's come from someone who has Brunt and benched McAuley last week

Brunt to McAuley for a hit, will pay for itself and then some within a week.

Not so sure, Brunt could easily start picking out Rondon or someone else in the box. I own both until GW29

      Stick with Brunt.

Given what WBA's fixture look like after GW28, you might wanna be shipping WBA altother.

I know this isn't going to interest many out there as I'm one of the few fools who took a punt on Markovic but anyone hear any news olaa.to why he didn't even make the bench ? After such a positive performance against Arsenal I can't see any reason as to why he would be dropped.

Makes no sense unless it's injury, I'm keeping until I hear more but gutted, took a -4 to bring him in as an Aguero enabler. Looks like Phillips will be the first to go in my midfield.

Is it set in stone that if Man City beat Huddersfield the Stoke game will be moved forward?

Have to wait and see for certain. No rush. Don't think any casuals will know about it until it's confirmed so prices shouldn't be affected
