The Big Numbers – Gameweek 35

Our post-Gameweek members article assessing some of the top performers arrives once again this evening.

With many Fantasy managers now looking to wield Wildcards, we cast an eye over in-form and in-demand attackers and also assess some of the stand-out assets in defence ahead of Friday evening’s deadline.

      In a word, no.
Doubleweekers on the bench for mediocre singleweek players? If it was Hazard and Alonso, there's maybe an argument but Benteke and McAuley could easily tank.

    Pickford.
    Yoshida, Holgate, Stephens.

    Gabby, Aguero**, Kane.

Keeping, benching this week and playing in 37/38, although could play him this week with AOA but that would mean choosing two from Yoshida Gabriel Alonso Vertonghan

The temptation was to move him out for Gabbi and that's still an option for 37 I guess

    Hey chaps
    My differential thoughts.

Am only I think that Gabbi is a bad choice? That everyone mad to double Saints defense and we always overlook players with hard fixtures?
Everyone are building their squads on the same template build with minor variations and almost all for players with doubles.
We know about rotation, we know about fatigue and continue to pick up such players.
I have no WC and possibly it might save my day.
For instance, I have Benteke in my squad and I don't see any reason to get rid of him. He has no fatigue, no doubles, hard opponents. But he scored against Chelsea and Liverpool and his stats are great. Can he be a differential? I believe so.
Liverpool has no doubles, I had Coutinho and high hopes, but injury ruined my plans. But Adam Lallana looked very freshy after he subbed Phillipe. And Pool fixtures are great. Maybe Origi can score some goals, who knows?
Everton's Lukaku will punish us all I believe, he netted 24 goals and has a clear lead. Do we all think he will stop doing that? I doubt it.
    Any other diffs for you?

There's loads but why would you not want to pick players with 2 games

      1. Deus
        • 7 Years

Because they can be bad at two games given you just 3-4 points. Remember Zaha? Rashford?

Yeah and the sgw players can be bad too. It's a lottery so why would you not want two tickets rather than one

Because of a form, statistics, player skills, team recent performance. You need to read between the lines.
My suggestion is to at least make a thought about other possibilities.

Nope, I'm ok to take a risk on hits. Recently, I took hits before doubles and got double figures for bringing De Gea, Bailly and Benteke. then I took another hit for Jesus (6) + King (11) transfer.
I can't see double figures for Gabbi though. Can you?

    2. Joggers Nipple
      • 14 Years

      The cheap defenders allow for
      Sane Hazard Alli/ Erik King
      Jesus Kane Costa/Gabbi

Im expecting little from Stephens, Holgate and Fernandez but what the give is cash. I wouldn't double SOT defense but understand why its done, cant see Gabi ARS playing 3 or 4 games, agree on Lukaku

I had Stephens, played him and got 2 x 8 points already.
But I seriously doubt to bring Yoshi as well.
I understand cheap enablers, I also have good TV around 106, but it is finish line - it is all or nothing now

I understand what you're saying but...it will end up in tears imo. For sure some SGW players will ouscore DGW ones but few DGW ones will defo go really high and if you don't own them youre doomed.
Picks like Stephens arent just to play but more like enabler.

      Good luck anyway mate.

I'm just trying to balance my team mate. I have plenty of DGW players, but I give serious considerations to bring Gabbi for -4 to replace Benteke for instance, I don't like Anichebe enabler as well.
Everyone on WC bringing double Saints defense and benching one this GW. And it can backfire next GW to have double saints defense.

What's the guarantee that Holgate will keep a CS against Swansea? Swansea are playing for survival, they won't sit back, it's gonna be an open game surely. Yoshida is always amongst BAPS, has a considerable goal threat too, most importantly an extra fixture.

What's the point of keeping him for just 1 gameweek in the future? People hyped Lukaku for the West Ham game too and he trolled everyone big time. All three of Jesus, Kane & Costa should 'easily' outscore Lukaku from now till the end of the season.

2 fixtures means 4 pointer guaranteed mostly, a goal or an assist would be like a cherry on the top. Most importantly he's dirt cheap, helps you flex your arms elsewhere for the big guys.

Had an awful time lately slipping my down mini league - really need the next few weeks to pay off. Have used my wild card already / this is my team for Friday with a -8 - would be greatful of feedback:

    Heaton
    Yoshida, Robertson, Jagielka
    Sanchez, Hazard, Sane, Alli, King
    Jesus, Kane

    Subs: Caballero, Valencia, Rashford, 3.9

The plan next week is to bench boost after transferring 3.9 to a half decent defender and maybe Rashford to Gabbiadini for a hit if he starts scoring

Decent team, play Cabellaro ahead of Heaton

It's pretty much the same as every other team

    1FT, 0.1 ITB, thoughts?

    Courtois - Pickford

    Monreal - Smith - Yoshida - Stephens - Holgate

    Sanchez - Hazard - Eriksen - Sane - King

    Kane - Gabbiadini - Anichebe

I have 14 DGWers next week and the last one is Jakupovic..

I have bench boost AND triple captain left..

Triple Captain Sanchez this week and bench boost next week?

Or Triple captain Aguero next week and bench boost this or last week...

Wait for pressers, Aguero might be out for the rest of the season. Just captain Sanchez this week IMO, BB next week and TC last week.

    A) Eriksen & sane (have Kane & alli)
    Or
    B) Sanchez & albrighton

    Alternatives?
Don't see any mid priced midfielders I can potentially swap with ericksen
