Dugout Discussion – Spurs vs Crystal Palace

A busy Sunday treats us to four fixtures before the final international break of 2017 is upon us.

Up first, we make our way to Wembley as Spurs entertain Crystal Palace in the 12pm kick-off.

With four of the top five squaring up later in the day, all eyes are on Harry Kane against the Eagles.

The Tottenham striker is the number one captain choice for Gameweek 11, selected by 27.6% of Fantasy Premier League managers after bagging a brace in four of his last six league outings.

Dele Alli owners are left frustrated, though, as he misses out through a hamstring injury, while at the back, Ben Davies drops to the bench as Danny Rose is handed a first league start of the season.

Still sitting in 20% of FPL sides, Davies looks set for an exodus over the break – he’s failed to start Tottenham’s last four home league encounters at Wembley.

For the visitors, we get another chance to scout Wilfried Zaha as Roy Hodgson’s side prepare for a fine run of fixtures.

The Ivorian international has scored in two of three appearances since being handed a central role up front upon his return from injury.

Over the next six Gameweeks, Palace have four favourable home matches (EVE STO BOU WAT) allied with trips to Brighton and West Brom.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I reckon these managers, Poch, Guardiola...they have their own mini league and that's why they make these horrid decisions

It wasn't hard to see Davies was gonna be rested against Palace. Rose lasting the future 90 is what surprised me but Poch needs to get minutes into him before the schedule really picks cause he's gonna need all four full backs for the winter

Playing Davies was asking for trouble

Casuals who picked Vertonghen over Bavies and captained Salah are laughing.

Why would captaining Salah make you a casual? He was as good a pick as anyone this week

I don’t even see a reason why you’d rest a player and bring them on needlessly for 2 minutes.

If we remove all the stupidly easy Home games for Kane, we're left with...
    1, 1, 13, 13, 13, 16. Captain next week, bench against West Brom.

Now is the time for us "Kun captains" to strike. We must strengthen our foothold in FPL rank to ensure no Kane (C) failures overtakes us!

At least Bavies only blocks Brady’s 3 pointer.

Could’ve been much worse I spose.
