Just from transfers mainly tbh. Not particularly deliberately, just jump on bandwagons a bit too easily, have taken 16 hit points for it though but hoping it'll be worth it in the long run.

Agree. My rival had built up a TV well beyond mine but I kept telling myself to stay calm and focus on points. Get points and the TV will rise I said. Now my TV is better than his for first time today and I'm 64 points ahead

Never really found that much benefit with the extra tv in the past as I would tend to overlook cheap performing players for underperforming luxury players if I could afford them

You go on the FPL website, go on statistics and sort by Value (season) I think.

Only 9 English qualified DM/CMs have 600+ PL minutes this season - Stephens, Cork, Carroll, Barry, Henderson, Livermore, Dier, Hayden and Cleverley - hardly an inspiring list to choose from.
If you ever saw Brian Clough's team selections they prove what you have just stated completely wrong. The man turned average players into exceptional team players . Indeed he transformed a hot headed striker with a dreadful disciplinery record to a top class defender ( Kenny Burns).

Only twice have I saved a FT this year and I just realised that they have been my two lowest scoring weeks (36 and 37 points). Patience doesn’t suit me.
Chill people - no-one is essential. Remember the guy who won FPL last season did it without a single Liverpool player. Someone could do the same this year without any Man City, or without Salah etc.

yeah, but take this scenario. There's a player consistently averaging 7-8 PPG. You're replacements who have to consistently match that, and its unlikely it will in the long run. Therefore out of everyone who goes w/o said essential player, only a few keep up, and there always will be one; Ben Crabtree was one of those lucky few last year
Yeah I think the difference is the big forwards & mids are all within 10 points of each other this year though. I'd say there will be only 20-30 points between Aguero, Jesus, Morata, Kane, Kaku at end of year (injury permitting)... so would be better to stick with them rather than Hokey Cokey chasing points
