The Technical Area – Alonso vs Azpilicueta

Fresh from a comfortable 4-0 demolition of West Brom – their fourth successive Premier League victory – interest in Chelsea’s Fantasy assets is beginning to accelerate.

After a challenging opening schedule that pitted them against Spurs, Manchester City and Arsenal over the first seven Gameweeks, the Blues now enter the kindest window of their season’s fixture schedule.

Undecided. If he's fine after this week I don't want to sell him, but if I keep him it means I have to play both Lowton (ARS) and Dunk (mun).

Is sterling to sane a bit too sideways. I have Aguero and Ota too. plan to use WC next week and I have one FT.
Got a cup round set up in my $ ML and it's 1st v 2nd. So want to have definite starters.
    Might wait until pressers

Easiest way to get Chelsea would be one of your strikers to Morata, which will then create the extra money needed for Sane. Could do both next week for free once Liverpool is out of the way for Chelsea.

        I like that.
Maybe if Sterling doesn't play vs. Huddersfield I will keep (should play the next two imo if he's benched this weekend)
I could save this week and do Lukaku/Aguero+Jones -> Azpi/Alonso+Morata just an idea.

Yes, that would work out well I think. If Sterling doesn't start vs. Huddersfield he'd almost certainly start vs. Southampton so you can reassess his situation after that. In the same boat as far as Sterling and Sane are concerned and that's what I'm doing.

Jones to otamendi, Sterling to Sane, Aguero to Morata -8, how about that?

        That's aggressive, interesting idea nonetheless.
Might do just that for a -4 next week and dodge Chelsea's game vs. Liverpool.

Hi, saw your post on the other page. I really do believe that if there's a player you don't have who you would captain, then use a FT or take a -4 to get them.

You should never settle for less on your captain pick.

As it happens, I don't think Sané is worth a hit when Kane is a very good captain option. Your midfield is really nice and the only way of getting Sané or Hazard is to downgrade a striker and upgrade Carroll.

Been offline for two weeks and just got back to only 47 points last GW and this mess. What to do with 2 FTs and 3.2m in the bank?

    Elliot
    Otamendi Davies Ake Cedric
    Salah Sterling Ritchie
    Kane Jesus Vardy

    Krul RLC Carroll Mbemba

    Bottomed-
Bench is threadbare and not sure I will have 11 this GW.

    Fabianski.
    Kolasinac, Daniels, Jones**.
    Choupo-Moting, Richarlison, Sterling*, Salah.
    Kane, Aguero*, Vardy.
    Elliot, Mee, Carroll*, Mbemba**.

    1ft, 0.8m in bank.
Still have WC if this matters.

    1. Morata in for Kun.
    2. Save and just hope Aguero/Sterling start. 2FT's then next GW.
    3. Other- possibly hit. (Sane+ Morata in for Ster/Aguero)

good god, no. Sterling is 1m less than Sané yet playing a similar position on the opposite flank. He's Man City's top scorer!

If you want someone to play every single game, then yes, Pogba has a good chance of doing that, but selling Sterling will bite you, for sure.

He has an amazing PPG, true. Sterling isn't exactly doing bad in that regard!

Hopefully, this frozen period is where all the active players, particularly those active in the transfer market, make their move and his price will remain stable when he's unfrozen.

That is what I expect to happen. Especially since it is this very fixture that most like me will want him for.

And with regards to Sterling, when looking at his returns, it looks like when City wins by a huge margin then he's likely to end up the highest scorer there, but if it's a 2/3 goal victory then I'm more confident that Sane is going to get me a haul. So I've actually done Sterling > Sane and Carroll > Pogba

I mean you seem to be struggling to field 11 and you're worried with the loss of 0.2M. It's actually a profit of 0.2M since you bought him for 5.1M. It's only a loss if you sold him now and bought him back later for 5.5, but he is injured and could drop in the near future. GWs 14 and 15 are horrible, so that might help the drop. With Rojo back Mou now has options and can easily rotate over the busy schedule - so he might not be as nailed as before.

Yup - I find the reluctance to sell in your spot funny 🙂

Yeah, that's worrying me. I just don't want to make rash transfers to avoid a price drop. I remember getting Kane in last season for a haul against Bournemouth but had to make an early transfer and get Nyom in too since I had exact cash. Kane did well, but Nyom must have gotten me 5 points over the next 15 game weeks. So ideally I want to decide on Friday without any price concerns. If I miss out then so be it and I'll get Kane next week.

2 straightforward questions to start the day off

1/ What is the first day Pogba's price can rise and what is the maximum a player car rise in a day?

Can anyone shed some light on how the RMT tool decides on starters and who to bench? Seems like it doesn't always bench the lower scoring player

For example for GW16 it's suggesting that I bench DDG (3.46) and play Elliot (3.45) who has a lower score. I realize in this case the difference is a minimal 0.01 but it just happens to be the example I have on hand right now... I have definitely seen cases in the past

Rotation is factored in for Elliot. If both were 100% starters, Elliot would have a higher score.

England doing well in the cricket, rain probably helps too.

59/1 is nothing though. Some commentator (Boycott?) always said, just add 2 wickets to the score to evaluate better. 75/3 or whatever will still be deep trouble.

True, pitch is pretty slow. Expected a lot more life but weather hasn't been good for the groundsperson.

If Aguero doesn't start against Huddersfield
Would he be a good option against Sou and West Ham? Thinking of getting him in then!

If Not then Morata. Though i have Hazard and Sane.

    Thoughts??

I'd go for Morata, Chelsea have great fixtures after next gw and he's nailed

Assuming Sterling starts and Kun is benched for next week!
He is sure to play the next 2 home games.

        That leaves me with
        A Sterling(SOU,WHM) Morata(SWA,NEW
        Or
        B Choupo(LIV,SWA) Kun(SOU,WHM)

I just think that 11.7m is way too much to spend on a player that is rotated, especially with the busy Christmas period coming up

high risk high reward spot - I wouldn't get him, but some no doubt will.

    For after this GW:

    A) Hazard and Niasse

    B) Mane and Wilson

I already have Morata and Salah

    Thanks

Would say A if I was confident of Niasse getting his starting spot straight back after suspension

Anyone considering using the Free Hit chip this GW?

Popular Liverpool and Chelsea assets playing each other while Spurs and the Manchester clubs have easy games

Actually, this is a great shout this week especially given Phil Jones' injury too.

I think save for a DGW or when only a few teams are playing....Chelsea/Liverpool assets could both score well this week.

If Sterling doesn't start against Hudds, would you take him out for Haz for free?

I'd rather both but otherwise sure.
