Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions.

We are launching our 15th open-to-all tournament, along with an eighth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name and our reigning champion, Sleepysi.

In our Members Cup, our winners list is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld and the current champion, Malaikat Jahad.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 15, with the first round poper running in Gameweek 16.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 4, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 16, with the first round running in Gameweek 17.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday December 11, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

You entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team Id?

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL id field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 4 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after December 11 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Play Fernandez or Daniels this week?
I always tend to go with the bookies odds for clean sheets, however playing Fernandez over daniels just doesn't feel right!!!

Got to be Daniels for me - Swansea don't create many chances and there is always the prospect of attacking points and bonus points.

Worth downgrading Jones to a 4.7 or below defender in order to upgrade Sterling to Sane (c) -4?

If so, any suggestions? Punt on Dann worth it? Other defenders are Azpi, Mee, Naughton and Mbemba.

Fwiw (probably very little), I'm doing Jones to Dann this week to afford Hazard next week. So I support the move.

Beat the KneeJerkers XI, results for GW12 and squad for GW13

GW12 brought the biggest haul of the season for the eleven most-transferred-in players of the gameweek. Captain Salah contributed with a massive 32 points but was by no means the only one: seven out of eleven players got returns and the Kneejerkers XI totalled 84 points and a GW rank of 191k. This was enough to dump out eight of the ten remaining competition entries, and so the original pool of 327 entries is now down to only two. Congratulations to the final pair of Ricky Bean and Gwion Daffyd! Let’s see now how blinks first and who will be crowned champion.

For GW 13, the Kneejerkers XI lines up with triple Burnley defense (vs Arsenal!) and Pogba as captain. Hazard´s haul versus WBA was only good enough to warm the bench as third sub...

    Pope (22)
    Ward (75), Otamendi (65), Mee (60)
    Pogba (C, 260), Salah (116), Sané (64), Richarlison (54)
Niasse (VC, 144), Morata (134), Callum Wilson (105)

Bench: De Gea (18); Daniels (50), Kolasinac (49), Hazard (41)

Probably not the fixture for b).

Personally, would look at removing Cedric or Jones (depending on press conferences). Or addressing Aguero if you think he'll be rested.....

Is Jones expected to be 100% fit for Watford? If not - I could get Mustafi for free. Otherwise, I could just play Mariappa this week and have Jones for the next.

    Speroni (Elliot)
    Ota Alonso Mee/Ward (Jones)
    Haz Salah Pogba Erisken (Carroll)
    Kane C Ayew (Niasse)

How does Eriksen & Ayew to Sane & Wilson for -4 sound?? I really didn't want to get rid Eriksen, but feel Sane at 0.5 cheaper will keep up with him, and allows me more.

I'm also considering Mee/Ward to Mustafi with the itb I that have.

He's their only natural left back and Benitez rates him quite a lot so I believe he'll be first choice. He started the first game of the season and then got injured. Thinking about getting him soon, but I can afford to wait to see him get a few starts first.

Decent fixtures too. And some potential upside in that he's a young player who's been trusted with 90 minutes 4 times in a row so has likely moved past Martina and Holgate. Maybe not nailed, but getting close.

    GW dilemma with this lot:

    Ederson
    Ward / Femenia* / Daniels
    Choupo / Hazard / Salah / Alli / L.Cook*
    Aguero* / Jesus

    Bench: Fab / Jones(out) / Niasse(out) / Mbemba (doesn't start)

    1FT 0.8m ITB
So I've got no bench and 3 other players who are a doubt (Femenia knock, Aguero or Jesus likely won't play, L.Cook has only been getting some time off bench recently) which could easily see me with only 8 scoring players this weekend.

Would you use free hit chip or take a -8 to get in the likes of Lukaku / Surman and a Jones replacement?

    B. Sterling to zaha
    C. Jones out if he’s still not fit?

If I change sterling to zaha I can afford to change Davies + vardy to morata + 5mil defender.

    Two ft
    Bank 0.1

Is jones fit for next gw?

    Pope
    Davies, jones, ward,
    Sterling, silva, richalson, salah,
    Kane, vardy, Jesus

    Bench Eliot, doucoure, naughton, Mbemba.

Jones won't play. And I have a feeling Jose might bench him midweek as well. Then it's 2 tough fixtures.

What would you do with this team? 1FT and 0.7 ITB

    Elliot/Fabianski

    Daniels Otamendi Ward Davies (Mbemba)

    Salah Hazard Richarlison Dilva (Carroll)

    (K)ane Jesus Niasse

Niasse's suspension has given me a bench full of non starters...
