Dugout Discussion – Man United vs West Brom

Following on from Newcastle’s win over Arsenal at St James’ Park, we turn to Sunday’s second, and final, fixture as Manchester United entertain West Bromwich Albion at 4pm.

After Harry Kane failed to produce the goods in the first of his two matches, all eyes turn to his Double Gameweek 34 rival Romelu Lukaku, who has been handed the armband by 16.6% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers.

With three goals and two assists in the last five Gameweeks, 45 of the top 100 captained the Red Devils’ frontman, with only seven opting for Alexis Sanchez.

Yet with back-to-back double-figure hauls in each of the last two, the Chilean (4% ownership) has the potential to prove a devastating differential candidate for clashes against the Baggies and Bournemouth.

Elsewhere for the hosts, Paul Pogba and Chris Smalling join Lukaku in the top five for transfers in ahead of Gameweek 34.

Over 234,000 acquired the Frenchman after his two-goal derby haul at the Etihad, while Smalling’s run of ten starts – and two goals in that period – earned him more new owners (175,000+) than any defender for Gameweek 34.

Both start in the XI, with Victor Lindelof selected alongside Smalling at centre-half.

However, Jesse Lingard’s owners are left relying on minutes off the bench as he’s named among the subs – over 98,000 snapped up the United winger ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

0-0 would be better. But WBA gave it all and deserved to win this imo.

About time they dragged some losing players in front of the cameras for a grilling.
Strange balance winning players/manager & just losing manager for interviews.

Unbelievable. Not only dents the B.B. and WC, but potentially ruins FH when pep rotates everything next week.

Cheers Brom. One of the worst teams in premier league history...

Is FPL really anything more than a game of roulette?

My rival has played bench boost this week. He has the following players:

    Zaha
    Tomkins
    Lossl
    Dunk
    Dawson
    Foster
    Shaqiri

His bench consists of Foster, Dawson, Tomkins and Shaqiri.

After hindisight is one thing, but before any games were played, why would anyone bench boost this week with Foster (mun), Dawson (mun) along with Tomkins and Shaqiri as single game week assets.

What makes it worse is that the only reason he has Zaha was to "cover me" as he didn't realise I was playing the FH chip.

He is now sat on 73 points with 2 bonus likely for Foster to come so 75 points. Classic roulette.

He didn't gamble what so ever. He was clueless and got lucky.

Fair play he is beating me, but not due to being tactically better, just due to getting lucky.
