World Cup Fantasy Transfer Tips: The Big Numbers

World Cup Fantasy managers will have to respond quickly to the emerging trends in Russia, as they prepare their transfers ahead of the Gameround 2 deadline on Tuesday.

We’ve taken our first look at the Opta World Cup data, which is exclusively available to members after the completion of each match.

Our analysis covers all fixtures contested in Groups A-F, with a scrutiny of Group G and H to follow before the second set of group matches commence.

Not surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.0m) has been at the heart of the transfer market in recent days following his 16-point haul in Portugal’s opening fixture: since Friday night, his ownership has doubled.

Elsewhere, there appears to be a strong case to load up on Uruguay players ahead of their match with Saudi Arabia, while the underlying statistics should provide some consolation to owners of Lionel Messi and Neymar following the £12.0m-rated forwards’ opening-match blanks.

Trippi had a very good game yesterday, but I can see TAA getting nod in to rest Trippi for Belgium, perhaps.

I have Griez, Messi, Jesus up front. I feel though any of these guys could have a great next game, would do me better transferring some useless midfield (Al Dawsari) for a Uruguay or Russia player...does it make sense or am I better off getting Kane/Cavani/Kaku?

Tough. I guess you have to choose 2 between Isco/Eriksen/Cout.

Fixtures favour Isco & Cout but goal involvement favour Eriksen.

Eriksen & Cout I think. Costa looks like the best option from spain imo.

Anyone worried that loading up on players who won the 1st game may be rested for round 3? For example Cavani, Lukaku, Kane etc.

    Team is:
    Muslera - Uzohu
    Meunier - Danilo - Varela - Dalsgaard - Pavard
    Muller - JRod - Ljajic - Carrasco - C.Sanchez
    Suarez - Lukaku - Jesus

    Should I do:

    A) Ljajic / Carrasco ➡ Layun / Golovin
    or
    B) G.Jesus ➡ D.Costa

Griezmann, Kimmich, Pickford and Meza still worth owning. Ziyach and Al-Jassam need to be moved on. If they're the only major duds you've got, I would consider saving your WC

    Cavani Messi Lukaku

    1. Want to get in Ronaldo who faces Morocco. Also, dont want to drop Messi, who after first blank will be up for it against Croatia.

This round started well but since then nothing has gone wrong. Picked Gazinskiy captain, though he might be worth... and surprisingly got 8 with that goal and cleansheet. Then change captain to Cavani, blanks... 2 points, rodriguez doesn't start, godin cleansheet though, hegazy gets a late yellow to get just 1... Asensio then doesn't even play at all. Captain griezzman next, gets 8, then umtiti ruins the lloris cleansheet, 2 points. uzoho gets rekt 1. Change captain to muller... does nothing and then gets a late yellow, 1 point. rodriguez from switzerland gets 2 for playing but that was always risky. Then captain meunier, does the least attacking i've seen him do, get's a soft yellow, 5 points... Carrasco does nothing and gets 3.....

Do i do one last roll of the dice and captain falcao or just face the fact i've had a bad round?
