World Cup Fantasy Transfer Tips: The Big Numbers

World Cup Fantasy managers will have to respond quickly to the emerging trends in Russia, as they prepare their transfers ahead of the Gameround 2 deadline on Tuesday.

We’ve taken our first look at the Opta World Cup data, which is exclusively available to members after the completion of each match.

Our analysis covers all fixtures contested in Groups A-F, with a scrutiny of Group G and H to follow before the second set of group matches commence.

Not surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.0m) has been at the heart of the transfer market in recent days following his 16-point haul in Portugal’s opening fixture: since Friday night, his ownership has doubled.

Elsewhere, there appears to be a strong case to load up on Uruguay players ahead of their match with Saudi Arabia, while the underlying statistics should provide some consolation to owners of Lionel Messi and Neymar following the £12.0m-rated forwards’ opening-match blanks.

Have you heard any news or rumors?
Really want to get Nacho in for another fantasy game because he is really cheap but if Carvajal is expected to be back that seems like a bad idea.

Want to do the following wild card from this:
    Cabalerro
    Meunier - kimmich - granqvist
    Mueller - J rod - cueva - Carrasco
    Suarez - Lukaku - Jesus
    Uzuho - parvard - Sakai - gazinski

    To this
    Ben mustapha
    Macguire - Guerrero - Valera
    Isco - coutinho - cherechev - Layun
    Messi - Ronaldo - Suarez
    Uzuho - nandez - Sakai - dalsgard
    0.5 itb.

    Thoughts?
    Thanks

Suarez > Cavani would be my first move on WC, may as well save 1.5. He looked awful in the first fixture...

Not that I'm going against your analysis. Just from what I saw. Another day that could of been 2 goals. Also with VAR awarding penalties, trying to get the penalty takers too

Nah but getting one iranian, just for memes, they'll be defending a draw against spain hard, and a draw might be enough to see them through.

Any suggestions for this lot much appreciated 🙂 Cueva the only player with a 'tough' fixture, though I feel Peru should be well up for France.

    El Kajoui Uzoho
    Kimmich Meunier Danilo Varela Pavard
    Coutinho J'hames Cueva Meza Inui
    Suarez Griezmann Lukaku

I mean either Pavard gets a cleansheet, or Cueva provides something (or could do nothing but Peru does). Isn't that a slight clash, if this is mcdonalds one though, should be fine because subs.

That goalline is horrendous, but cheap i guess.

Pavard is a bit risky with Sidibe threatening

Aldawsary is a get rid if you can. A Gazinsky type player is more worth.

      Rest looks fine.

Thoughts on this team? (Local game)

    Lukaku - Cavani - Lewandowski
    Neymar (C) - Eriksen - JRod
    Hector - Marcelo - Trippier - Meunier
    Pickford

I’m considering doing Trippier —> Layun (marked as defender), but don’t really want to waste a transfer if Trippier plays vs Panama.

    Your thoughts please?

So you're going Bench Boost Round 3?

      Muslera (vs Russia) Fair

Godin (vs Russia) Valera (vs Russia) Trippier (vs Belgium) Risky doubling on Uruguay vs Russia and Trippier vs Belgium.

Coutinho (vs Serbia) Eriksen (vs France) Gazinskiy (vs Uruguay) Cheryshev (vs Uruguay) This midfield makes no sense with your defense unless you're banking on a 0-0 uruguay draw....Eriksen vs France is a tough one too.

ronaldo (vs Iran) Kane (vs Belgium) Costa (vs) Morocco pretty fair

Ben Mustapha (vs Panama) fair Cueva (vs Aus) fair Hegazy vs (Saudi) fair Pouralanganji (vs portugal) rateeee this one

Overall for round 3, i feel like your uruguay vs russia mid defense setup is a bit tough. That bench is killer though.

Consensus seems to be that Jesus place is under threat from Firminho. Is this based on anything other than him not playing well (and Brazil looking better after the substitution)? Jesus record in qualifying was very good - will they really replace him?

It would be a big knee-jerk reaction for the coach the change his preferred line up after a draw to the toughest team in their group, he was also the last sub bought off at 80 mins too which indicates the coach still had faith in him.
