World Cup Fantasy Transfer Tips: The Big Numbers

World Cup Fantasy managers will have to respond quickly to the emerging trends in Russia, as they prepare their transfers ahead of the Gameround 2 deadline on Tuesday.

We’ve taken our first look at the Opta World Cup data, which is exclusively available to members after the completion of each match.

Our analysis covers all fixtures contested in Groups A-F, with a scrutiny of Group G and H to follow before the second set of group matches commence.

Not surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.0m) has been at the heart of the transfer market in recent days following his 16-point haul in Portugal’s opening fixture: since Friday night, his ownership has doubled.

Elsewhere, there appears to be a strong case to load up on Uruguay players ahead of their match with Saudi Arabia, while the underlying statistics should provide some consolation to owners of Lionel Messi and Neymar following the £12.0m-rated forwards’ opening-match blanks.

      Alfaraj > Layun.

Transferring Ziyech out is bad decision since he's on penalties. We all know how many of those have been given out...

          Fixtures-smixtures.

It's so easy to give away a penalty at this world cup. Besides, we all saw what Ronaldo did against Spain. This isn't FPL. It's all short-term punts, the cream doesn't rise to the top. If a Russian substitute has the 2nd highest point score in the game that's all you need to know. Hope for a penalty (and that he doesn't miss >.

I know it typically wouldn't be worth a hit for a keeper, but I don't see either of these clowns getting me a cleanie in the remaining group games.

What's this Layun attraction? Just fixtures? Got in good positions v Germany bit gave off the impression that he'd struggle to finish his dinner & isn't even a nailed RW looking at his transfermarkt, he played dm in their last 2 friendlies for e.g. I'm more convinced by Cheryshev at this moment in time but if someone has an argument for Layun I'm all ears.

    Neuer uzoho

    Cavani Jesus Lukaku

    Keep or WC?
Thinking of WC and loading up on Uruguay, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, England and then bench boost

Do you think the WC will be better to use now with 2 rounds to go with only one transfer for each round and more players to choose from than waiting for the knockout stage with harder games?
Also before the knockout stage these a free WC to get rid of some of those plates with hard games

    El Kajoui Uzoho
    Meunier Danilo Varela Dalsgaard Pavard
    Eriksen JRod Ziyech Cueva Gazinsky
    Messi Jesus Lukaku

I really want a URU fwd so Messi > Suarez? Lukaku > Cavani? Something else? Hits don't seem worth it on such a short-term game but I could do Messi > Suarez + Ziyech > Isco. Wary of taking out Ziyech though because he's on penalties...

Morning, have no idea when to use WC..

    Cavani Lukaku Jesus
    Eriksen jrod cueva isco belhanda
    Danilo meunier Pavard varela mojica
    Uzoho el.kajoui

Thoughts? It’s either I WC now or before quarters...

My team is decent so can save but what’s the benefit of holding till quarters? We have 3 transfers before quarters so the main benefit is that if half my team gets knocked out but that’s unlikely as I would likely pick a squad filled with players one would expect to qualify
