World Cup Fantasy Transfer Tips: The Big Numbers

World Cup Fantasy managers will have to respond quickly to the emerging trends in Russia, as they prepare their transfers ahead of the Gameround 2 deadline on Tuesday.

We’ve taken our first look at the Opta World Cup data, which is exclusively available to members after the completion of each match.

Our analysis covers all fixtures contested in Groups A-F, with a scrutiny of Group G and H to follow before the second set of group matches commence.

Not surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.0m) has been at the heart of the transfer market in recent days following his 16-point haul in Portugal’s opening fixture: since Friday night, his ownership has doubled.

Elsewhere, there appears to be a strong case to load up on Uruguay players ahead of their match with Saudi Arabia, while the underlying statistics should provide some consolation to owners of Lionel Messi and Neymar following the £12.0m-rated forwards’ opening-match blanks.

Cheyshev or Layun in for Belhanda?

Cheryshev looked decent to be fair but don’t fancy Russia against Egypt or Uruguay, thinking Layun myself but on based on what’s being said on here, looked lively, set pieces and nice fixture.

Nice XI but I'd be tempted to look at Costa/Kane instead of one of the 12.0 strikers to upgrade bench.

Yeah I mean it's an injury. But different injuries mean different things for on-field play. If it's an ankle or hamstring injury which directly affects his mobility and speed that is quite different to his shoulder.

Not planning to WC until GW5.
    Mbappe (Peru) -> Costa (Iran)

    Also have:
Lukaku, Carrasco and Meunier (vs Tunisia)
Cavani, Varela and Muslera (vs Saudi Arabia)
    JRod (vs Poland)
    Eriksen (vs Australia)
    Kimmich (vs Sweden)
    Danilo (vs Costa Rica)

I'll have no France players (vs Peru) or Brazil attack (vs Costa Rica).

    0.5 itb.

    WC 2
    Ochoa
Macguire - Kimmich - Ricardo Rodriguez

WC1 is better. Mustapha is a neat pick for GW3. Get Sassi (Tunisian PK taker) over Nandez and Sabaly over Sakai.

Does he really? He scored a soft penalty, a free kick again from a soft foul, and then a shot from outside the box that DDG fumbled. He didn't have any really solid chances in the box.

Morocco also likely to park the bus so he's unlikely to score a boatload. Benatia also a world class CB to keep him in check.

    WC template:

    Lukaku, Ronaldo, Suarez

Cueva (not sure who to replace for) - Isco - Lingard - Layun - Carrasco

    B.Idowu (4.0) - G. Varela - R.Guerreiro - T.Munier - H.Sakai (4.0)
