Watchlist Update – Ryan rises after Brighton’s three clean sheets

As we approach Gameweek 11 of Fantasy Premier League we have got to work on updating our Watchlist.

It’s goalkeepers up first, with teams such as Brighton and West Ham began to get more attention for their budget options

Alisson (£5.6m) retains the top spot for another week even as Liverpool prepare for a trip to face Arsenal. After that, they still have home matches against Fulham and Everton as well as a trip to Burnley in Gameweek 15.

Ederson (£5.7m) has crept back above Kepa Arrizabalaga (£5.5m) but both goalkeepers are on the brink of reclaiming Favourable Fixture tags. Manchester City have some appealing home fixtures but they still face Manchester United and Chelsea in the next six Gameweeks. Maurizio Sarri’s men have excellent home matches before the defending champions come to Stamford Bridge in Gameweek 16, but they have to visit Spurs in Gameweek 13.

Mat Ryan (£4.5m) has risen to become the best of the rest after a third successive clean sheet recorded in Gameweek 10. The Brighton shot-stopper keeps his Favourable Fixtures tag on account of the fact that the Seagulls still sit top of the Season Ticker defence section for the next six Gameweeks.

Lukasz Fabianski (£4.5m) is up next with West Ham’s fixtures particularly appealing over the next six Gameweeks. Burnley and Huddersfield are the Hammers’ next two opponents and home matches against Cardiff and Crystal Palace are also on the horizon.

Kasper Schmeichel (£5.0m) comes in at sixth place although there is understandably some uncertainty over what future Gameweeks will hold for him. There had been suggestions that Leicester’s trip to Cardiff City this weekend would be postponed although it weas confirmed to be going ahead as planned on Tuesday.

Rui Patricio (£4.6m) has dropped several places following back-to-back clean sheet wipe-outs against favourable opponents. The next two matches look particularly tricky for Wolves with Spurs coming to Molineux in Gameweek 11 and a trip to Arsenal in Gameweek 12. However, it’s Huddersfield and Cardiff after that.

Martin Dubravka (£5.0m) remains at the lower end of the scale although he did register a first clean sheet since Gameweek 6 last time out. The Magpies could prove a source of defensive points as their run is, on paper, quite favourable.

Jordan Pickford (£4.9m) and Ben Foster (£4.5m) bring up the rear with their fixtures a little mixed. The Everton man could be used in a rotation as the Toffees have favourable opponents coming to Goodison Park between now and Gameweek 16 while their away trips are rather difficult. Foster has Unfavourable Fixtures attached to him as Watford must host Liverpool and Manchester City between now and Gameweek 15.

    Patricio
    Walker Alonso Robertson
    Hazard Fraser Maddison Sterling Rich
    Arnie Kun
    (Stek Doherty Ings AWB)

    2FT and 0.1ITB

    a) Patricio > Fabianski
    b) Walker > Mendy
    c) Patricio & Walker > Fabianski & Mendy (downside being that using both FTs makes it harder to get in Salah or Mane next week)"

Pool attack v Fulham has to be your number 1 priority in my opinion.

Walker to Mendy seems very sideways to me.

No doubt Mendy has more potential for attacking returns but imo also more chance of being rotated, esp with how poor he was defensively the other night.

Well as you have Doherty I would say Pat can go. As you say though, you will find it easier to get Salah for next week if you have 2 FTs so tricky choice to make. Granted on paper Burnley at home for Fab is easier than Spurs but it only takes one decent goal by Burnley and you have kind of wasted your transfer. Again, saying that, I am bringing in Fab for Pat as I have Doherty but I already own Salah (swapped with Haz last week). Not sure if that helps you or not but I tried!

One additional point. As you have 3 premium defenders already will Doherty ever get a chance to play? If not then may as well stick with Pat.

I want Arnie, been my plan all along this week.

Question is Mitra or Wilson out?

I also have Schürrle and Fraser if it makes a difference.

      Has to be Mitrovic out.
Wilson and Bournemouth are way better than Fulham, having a chance to do well against tougher opponents.
As a Mitrovic and Wilson owner, this week I'll play Wilson but Mitrovic may not even be first on the bench.

    Fab McCarthy

I like this team, I would defo get siggy in on a WC so switching bsilvia out looks like a good switch. I’d also be tempted to keep some funds by ditching McCarthy for a 4.0. Fans fixtures are great until at least Xmas

McCarthy to Pat. Need some wolves cover in case they regain some defensive form for the good fixtures, he also rotates well with Fab.

    Fabs
    Alonso Robertson Mendy Doherty Pereira
    Salah Maddison Hazard
    Mitrovic Aguero
    Button - Kenedy - Jimenez - Obiang (0.1itb)
Best enabler to bring in the funds for Mitro to Arnie (annoyingly a penny short).
    A. Pereira to Duffy
    B. Pereira to Digne
    C. Jimenez to Success
    D. Other

All will rotate with other cheaper players (e.g. Digne with Kenedy).

          This.

Mitro is looking bad atm and Mendy + Kun is the safe combo

      There are some obvious moves, yet I still don’t know what to do with my FTs;

      Bego, Foster
      VVD, Mendy, Alonso, Boly, AWB
      Mane, Maddison, Fraser, Hazard, Westwood
      Zaha, Arnie, Mitro

Current draft included Laca & Moura, Kane wasn't practical to include!

oh i am looking at gw16 as my gw15 team looks good.GW15 is where leicester and bournemouth fixtures end and arsenal and spurs improve.Hopefully kane is bang on form at that time

but is he worth the risk of ditching kun. surely kun will be rested during that period but kane is all about 2 pointers atm. Love the fixtures though, till gw26

If no pressing concerns is it madness to free transfer Salah to haz this week and back the next

Wasn’t possible before price rise last night and if haz drops tonight

Only a couple weeks ago I annoyed myself when I saved transfer and haz went mad

Your prob right and I hope so

But if Salah blank and haz hatty that’s a huge swing and likely imo ( cap haz would make it well worth it )

Is it worth taking an 8 point hit to replace TAA or one of the goalkeepers?

      Patricio
      Alonso Mendy Robertson
      Maddison Salah Hazard Fraser
      Vokes Wilson Aguero

      Hamer, Billing, TAA, Bennett
