Merry Christmas From Fantasy Football Scout

Christmas Day is finally upon us, giving us the opportunity to take a break from Fantasy Premier League, as hard as that is.

While you’ll probably be devouring roast dinner rather than FPL content on this special day, I’m sure the cogs in your mind will still be whirring over the next 24 hours.

You might open presents hoping not for a pair of socks but for a double-figure captain haul under the wrapping. Or perhaps instead of deciding whether to go for light or dark turkey meat, you’ll be more perplexed over whether you should start Wan-Bissaka or Ryan Fraser on Boxing Day.

It has been a season of transition at Fantasy Football Scout. The biggest change has been our esteemed leader Mark taking a step back from the forefront of things, and the introduction of a new team.

I want to extend my thanks to the Fantasy Football Scout community for making us feel so welcome in these new roles. Believe me when I say it was quite a daunting prospect when we first took them on, considering the monster-sized boots we had to fill!

The work of deputy editor Neale, community manager Geoff and Paul, as ever, plugging away behind the scenes, have been invaluable to helping us produce content we have been proud to deliver.

A great big thanks also goes to our team of mods for the endless and difficult job they do for us everyday.

That just leaves me to make a rare request for you to tear yourself away from the site for this one day of the year and spend some time with your family and friends.

We will have the team news round-up, scout picks and captain analysis coming out either later today or tomorrow morning so that when you log back into the world of Fantasy football on Boxing Day morning you will have everything at your finger-tips for Gameweek 19.

      i've benched Digne.
      Doherty for attacking returns against Fulham.
      AWB for the CS and he is going to pick up an assist at some stage.
      Think it's difficult for any team to come back from a 6 goal drubbing so benching Digne.
      But could easily play all 5 of my defenders this week - TAA & Alonso other 2,

    Are people deluded enough to think Man City assets aren’t still very important? Plenty of people seem to be selling Sterling and Sane. Seems unreal to me. Man Utd have a long way to go to prove they can roll teams over on a regular basis. They played Cardiff. Cardiff. Fair play for scoring a few but it was one game.

    I'm thinking of selling Aubameyang for the next couple. According to the scout team news (I know it's just a prediction) he won't start & then it's Liverpool. I only bought at 11.3m so value not an issue. I'd feel more comfortable selling him than Sterling I think.
