The fixture schedules for the “big six” Premier League teams

Fantasy managers will now be planning for the final two Double Gameweeks of the season after a tricky period either side of the international break.

Two Blank Gameweeks and one Double Gameweek have already been navigated and now just five Gameweeks of the season remain, including a double-header for Brighton and Cardiff next week and then a bumper Gameweek 35.

Wildcard or not, FPL bosses will be loading their squads with players with “extra” matches over the next fortnight as well as looking at those assets with the most appealing fixtures in the season run-in once the Double Gameweeks are concluded.

Players from the “big six” will no doubt be dominating our thoughts again: four of those half-dozen clubs have two matches in Gameweek 35, while Liverpool enjoy meetings with Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town before the end of April.

With that in mind, we thought it was worth a look at the schedule for the “big six” clubs over the next month or so, given that all of these teams are still involved in European competition.

Rotation has to be a concern with all six of these sides competing on two fronts, although it will be difficult, for example, to imagine Jurgen Klopp making wholesale changes to his Liverpool side against Cardiff and Huddersfield with the league title on the line.

Below is a club-by-club itinerary for the remaining games of 2018/19.

The fixtures in italics are UEFA Champions League/Europa League ties and we have also included the dates for the next stages of these competitions, in case the teams below progress.

Some of the Premier League games around those semi-finals could be moved back/forward a day if some of the clubs in question advance.

Yeah you could do that, or maybe even Salah to Mane or Robbo to TAA

Yeah got Robbo as thinking TAA might be rotated.

Stop tinkering. You're fine with this, barring injuries et al

Duffy to Dunk is a sideways downgrade, regarding goal threat (and own goal potential, tbh)
Bennett to Boly is a Wolves center back who takes some set pieces to a Wolves center back who might nod in some set pieces. Also sideways

When the only "improvements" you can think of involve players of the same price range in the same positions in the same team, stop tinkering. Log out. Have a breather

Something a little different. Triple up on Spurs instead of Laca. 4 away games in next 5 for arsenal and risk of rotation. What do you think?

    Ryan Foster
    Robertson Kola Boly Duffy Valery
    Sterling Mané Son Eriksen JWP
    Kane Deeney Jimenez

I'm doing something similar. Eriksen loves bullying the weaker teams. Deeney and potentially Ings after gameweek 36 will do a decent job. I have Doucaure instead of JWP will do that swap to JWP in GW 36. I like this team

Thoughts on this WC team? Team value is quite low so have sacrificed a pricey 3rd MID to boost defence a little.

    Foster, Ryan
    TAA, Trippier, Kolasinac, Doherty, Duffy
    Sterling, Son, Jota, Deulofeu, Camarasa
    Kane, Auba, Jimenez

Downgrade Auba to Laca - both equally at risk from rotation, so no point spending the extra on Auba

Yeah, I'm not overly comfortable with it either, but they're in good form and have good fixtures. There's also not much in the price range between Jota (6.1m) and the premiums that are worth upgrading to (Eriksen, Mane etc.). Would need 3.5m for them and the Auba downgrade only nets 1.4m. Any mids take your fancy for 7.5m ish? Bilva perhaps.

Martial (7.2) could be an option - potentially a bit punty but one I'm considering. West Ham at home and then a DGW is tempting

Yeah, if there was a little more security over his starting position I'd be interested, but there are so many options in the wide positions for United.

The 1.8m saving could make a big difference elsewhere in a WC squad, and in theory if KDB stays fit I can't see that he'll play all that much less than Sterling

If Son, Sterling & TAA start midweek I'd be worried about their mins on the weekend.

All 3 are pretty much in most wildcard drafts.

Ok so, I'm chasing in ML and have cut a huge lead to 48 points with captain to play, he has BB but no WC. Currently, the only two players we share with my WC team are Sterling and Mane, should I stick with my planned team and play my own game or switch those two and go completely different?

Keep Sterling and Mane. I am 35 behind my Rival with Capt Haz to play from 90 2 weeks ago. We both have WC and BB but I have TC. No idea who he plans to get so kind of anxious but excited. Reason my lead got so big was he had Mane and I had Salah :).

Mine just seems to be insanely lucky, he had Schar when he scored 2 and finished top 100 overall for that GW. Also he held Salah over Christmas and I got rid for Sterling/Sane.

Play your own game, still long way to go and could make that up in one gw if 35 is high scoring. My worst season was when I was chasing in a mini league and tried to do something different, if I’d played my own game then I would’ve won it easily

I see lots are going with Mane on a WC - is this mainly due to having value tied-up in him, or do you expect him to outscore other similarly priced attackers with an extra game over 34-35?

    Mane (CHE, car)
    Auba/Laca (wat, CPL/wol)
    Eriksen/Son (HUD, mcy/BHA)
    Aguero/Sterling (cpl, MUN/TOT)
    etc...

Planning to go without myself and bring him back for 36 with a FT.

This is true. But the counter argument is that those City options have an extra game too now.....

I agree, Mane doesn't appeal. Robertson will probably be my only Liverpool player for the double.

Yeah, I think if you got Robbo/TAA early then it's easier to accommodate 1-2 of those on a WC and use the funds to load up on explosive DGWers. I missed the Robbo train so it'll likely be TAA for me (even if I do prefer Robbo!)

That’s something I’ve toyed with. For who though.
Can’t spread the funds so it would have to be someone like KDB or a third Spurs attacker.

I think I’d back all of the 6 I mentioned above to outscore Mane over 34/35. If planning to save a FT in 35 then you can spread the funds over 2 positions and get Mane back in 36 for HUD

If your doing that then you have the option of choosing between Mane and Salah as well.

Seeing Deeney over Murray WCs. Brighton not safe and will be chomping at the bit now that their FA Cup run is overnight

Given his age he's not very likely to start all those games in close proximity, and even when he does start Brighton are hardly a prolific side.

Hate it when I don't go with my gut feeling... Called weeks ago that bournemouth would likely be one of the worst teams for the run in because they have nothing to play for and have a history of being on the beach. Still went for Brooks over Tielemans for the blanks because I was unsure about Leicester :/ Disaster.

As per the article above, are we not worried about rotation for both
    A) Sterling
    B) Son - Lucas could easily play one during DGW

Can the sterling cash be better used elsewhere across the squad?

    1. Pierce34
      • 8 Years

A bit, but City won't rotate as much as GW32 as they have harder games now.

      A) Yes, pretty much a gamble and consumes a lot of budget. May play all the difficult games and miss the easy ones.
      B) No because he's cheap and Spurs will probably get knocked out by City.

    A) Lloris & Foster
    B) Ryan & Gunn
    C) Other?

I may be on this too, I really don't see GW37 as a problem. I mean, I've had Fabianski all season and never felt I should switch just because of a bad fixture - if anything it means lots of save points.

Need some quick advice on my WC team:

    Ryan / Gunn
    Robbo / Duffy / Kola / Bennett / Valery
    Sterling / Mane / Son / Jota / Camarasa
    Kane / Jimenez / Laca

How does this team look? Also, does it make sense it I take out (Gunn, Valery, Jota) and go with (Foster, Bednarek, Doucoure)?
