Where FFS career Hall of Fame leader stands on Gameweek 12 Salah debate

Fantasy Premier League managers are faced with some big decisions in Gameweek 12 as premium assets are delivering across the board and causing big swings in overall rankings.

Despite only three players blanking and a total of 66 points, I still got my fourth red arrow of the season in Gameweek 11. Not having Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m), Mohamed Salah (£12.3m), Harry Kane (£10.9m) and Jamie Vardy (£10.3m) really hurt my chances of having a good round and I think I was fairly lucky to only have fallen 10,000 places in the overall rankings and to still be inside the top 30k.

Hamez to Ward Prowse for free? Or roll over and have 2 FT next week? Don’t have any other Everton or Southampton players

    Best Ziyech replacement?

8.1 to spend, already have Grealish.

    C) Zaha
    D) Other (?)

Would you rather have James and Raphinha in a 3-5-2 (3rd def and 5th mid) or a max 4.6 def (to alternate with Dallas) and Bowen?

    1. Sean
      • 14 Years
      3 years, 4 months ago

Depends on the best option to rotate with Dallas, if the fixture run is nice id do that

      1. Mr Wolf
        • 10 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

It would give me a def with Chilwell, Dias and James and a mid of Salah, KDB, Bruno, Grealish and Raphinha. Do you see much more upside in Bowen over Raph?

        1. Sean
          • 14 Years
          3 years, 4 months ago

In terms of value there's little difference between Bowen and raph, looking at fixtures maybe Brighton rotate best to cover leeds worst two fixtures over the next 8, not really much upside to their def and you cant afford lamptey so I suppose James and Raph is the better option

          1. Mr Wolf
            • 10 Years
            3 years, 4 months ago

Nailed. I actually have Lamptey and need to downgrade him in the next couple of GWs to afford a move from Vardy to Kane when they play Leicester. If I go Raphinha I can actually upgrade Lamptey to a 5+

Over the last few seasons, there seem to have been more and more of these GWs where so much attention is focused on one or two players' chances of starting.

Got me thinking, could FFS expand the suite of stats in the members area to include things like distance covered and # sprints? After all, minutes is an ok stat for judging the need for a rest, but it's not perfect and it's certainly not what the clubs use primarily.

Taking this week as an example, Mo didn't do much in the way of chasing lost causes or tracking back on Wednesday. Sure he played 90 mins but maybe the effort he expended was comparable to 45 mins in his average Prem game?

Who do you think will find form and step up to score big this GW, and why?

Maybe someone who hasn't had a double digit score in a while, has a series of no attacking returns, or has very low ownership.

Have you seen something in someone's play or in their stats to make you think they could be ready for a breakout GW?

Was going to say Werner but not sure how I feel about him being at RW.

I'm going to back Mane, his underlying stats have been excellent this season and he has been playing very well - though the actual returns have dried up. With strong away form this season and a record of left sided players returning against Fulham, I'm sure Sadio will return to his best this weekend.

Guys got less replies, what would you do,

      A) vardy ziyech to watkins salah -4
      B) dcl robbo ziyech to watkins salah balbuena -8?
      C) dcl robbo ziyech to adams salah coufal -8?

B and C will allow me to keep vardy which my rivals all got.

A will allow me to keep Robbo which my rivals haven't got.

It's a decision of going safe with vardy or take a chance without him

im in the same situation and likely doing A, could actually afford to do B with R. James instead of Balbuena and it still wasnt attractive enough to me, think we just have to let vardy go, Robbo looks a great option imo.

I'm not seeing much mention of Zaha, who is, I believe, the 7th highest scoring player in the game, and has a home fixture.

Is that because people think he'll revert back to being frustrating, or he's just not bandwagon of the month here, or it's Spurs they're playing, or all three reasons?

      I've kept him for now...

If you toss w coin ten times and tails comes up three times whilst head comes up seven times does that mean that head has an advantage.

Bit like the bramford and fernandes doesnt haul at home argument.

Resulta are moot. If a player can haul at home or away it just means they can haul. Oh and Mane better option than salah away...
