FPL team reveals: The best five Hall of Fame managers’ Gameweek 1 drafts

The top five managers in Fantasy Football Scout’s Hall of Fame have all exclusively revealed their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams ahead of Friday’s Gameweek 1 deadline.

These are the cream of the crop; the FPL bosses who haven’t just racked up one outstanding overall rank but several of them.

They are as follows:

  • Fábio Borges: The Hall of Fame number 1. Has finished in the top 5k in each of the last five seasons and never outside of the top 20,000.
  • Tom Stephenson: Five-time top 5k finisher and 13 consecutive top 40k overall ranks.
  • Finn Sollie: Seven top 10k finishes in the last 11 seasons, including an overall rank of 39th in 2020/21.
  • Morten Tveito: Four straight top 10k overall ranks, three of which have been 1,051st or better.
  • Yavuz Kabuk: Seven successive top 10k finishes and eight in all, featuring two in the top 1,000.

The Hall of Famers have been good enough to share their drafts with us ahead of Gameweek 1 although we’ve respected the wishes of two of them to not have their names attached to a particular team reveal, so have instead anonymised all five.

          I’d say Barnes is a good option but has the risk of 60mins in each game whereas Greenwood likely to play more first couple of games

          I also prefer coufal who I expect to improve on his 9 assists last year

          Imo I’d stick

          Toney is an unknown, so we can't be sure if he is going to be a hit or flop.

          IIRC Raphinha got only 3 assists in his last 10 PL games, just saying that there is a room for Toney punt and switch later.

          Pretty sure we will get cash from some other spots by the time Toney is can be dropped, likes of Jimenez/Wood are fine or we can drop for 4.5

        Quite often when I can't decide I go with the better player simple as that, he's also in the better team and there's more options in Midfield at that price so I think it's safer to start with....

        No, as when you do your double transfer you just downgrade Toney to 4.5m and then upgrade your Raph/Green/Barnes pick to Son/City pick.

        Because I'll not be doing a straight swap from one mid to another, it's going to take a double transfer anyway. I'll drop Toney to make funds for more expensive mid or just a single swap if the mid I want is around the 7.5 mark
