    Onana
    Chilwell-GABRIEL-Estu
    Rashford-Mbeumo-Saka-Odegaard
    Wissa-Haaland-WATKINS

    Bench: Turner, EZE, Botman, Baldock

Have 0.0M in bank; But 2FT
    Extremely tempted to do:

Eze, Watkins, Gabriel —> March, Isak and Gvardiol which I just can afford. Waiting for one more week to Get them Will make me not being possible to Get them.

    Should I pull the trigger?

I would wait till GW5 to get Isak when their fixtures turn. Not sure there is a point to do the move this early and for a hit.

You could just get someone like Rico Henry in for Gab and roll the other FT

Already raged my changes would you

    A) take shaw out for -8
    B) wildcard
    C) leave the damage alone

    Pickford
    Gabriel, Estupinan, Chilwell
    Rashford, Saka, Martinelli, Mbuemo, Jota
    Haaland, Alvarez

    Turner, Shaw* Baldock* Archer

What were the changes you already made?

I’d be reluctant to take a a further hit, there’s only a chance of an upside from it and it’s a smaller upside that the 4pts you risk

Shaw out costs only 4 pts. Do it and you can break even immediately. Gabriel has to go also soon and your problems might start to cumulate unless you do it.

Did that as soon as Salah missed the penalty and scored a measly 5 points. Current WC squad:

        Onana - Turner/Areola
        Chilwell - Estu - Saliba - Henry - Udogie/Gvardiol
        Rashford - Saka - Mbeumo - Mitoma - Foden/Sterling
        Haaland - Jackson - Wissa

The 3 slashes I'm still to decide on. Either way I'll have plenty of money ITB.

If I were drafting defenders right now, Chilwell, Estupinan, and Saliba would be my first picks, by some distance. He's a monster in that left wing back spot. Practically sets up shop in the opposing team's 18. Like Alonso of old.

I wildcarded because I wanted Mbeumo, Chilwell and Sterling as well as cleaning up a couple of dud picks and to do so I had to sell Salah which freed up loads of cash.
I've had a decent start (around 387k) and basically i don't think the first WC holds that much value, I think it's either a good momentum pusher or a get out of jail free card if you're very unlucky with injuries.

Sterling was unreal at the weekend, pretty unlucky with his injuries last season and I'm also a fan of Poch, so a 3 week Chelsea triple-up with those fixtures is a fun gamble

What was your pre-WC team? Must have been ok if you rank around 387k. Good for momentum yes, but before the IB and end of TW could be troublesome.

It makes perfect sense, I never mentioned coverage. I’m judging on their individual merit! Doubling up on attack from a team that has two goals so far and neither of the players being picked has had a return? What doesn’t make sense about it?

Not picking a player because you have another player from the same team doesn't make sense. It's the same faulty reasoning as coverage. One, two or three from one teams attack makes no difference. All that matters is if you predict they will outscore other players at their price points or not.

Two things here, firstly suggesting doubling up on attack that is struggling to score goals. “One, two or three from an attack makes no difference”, agreed! From an attack that is scoring plenty of goals. Why do you think people with both Rashford and Bruno are selling? Both have potential to score well at their price point. I’m not sure why this is confusing? Secondly, I don’t think either are the better choices at their price points.

If people are selling one of rashford or Bruno because they play in the same attack the they are confused. Same as with sterling and Jackson judge them on their individual merits. They are either worth having or not. The fact you have someone's teammate in your fpl team doesn't effect how many goals and assists he'll get.

Right so you see then that if you think Bruno and rashford are good picks then there is absolutely no reason to not have both. The feeling of spreading the risk is an illusion. Yes some weeks neither will score which is the case for any two players same team or not.

I agree with what you’re saying, I think they are good picks however I think Utd ans an team are in a bad patch. I do think there are other factors to be considered is all I’m saying. For example, Brighton are averaging 4 goals per game so far with goals and assist spread across each of their attackers. Having two from Brighton attack looks promising if they continue on current form based on the evidence we have so far. Chelsea on the other hand are averaging 1 goal a game involving none of these two attackers, neither of whom are on set pieces, neither of whom have an attacking return, they have 0 wins, doubling on this attack is something I’d consider too risky at present is what I was trying to say in my OP (and I think there are better options from other teams)

All in all I agree with you

Even if a team was struggling to score like Chelsea are currently but everything went through one of these players as the main focal point you’d consider them more but that is not the case. The defenders are scoring more than the attackers.

I see what you're saying, as in they can both easily score in the same game because they're attackers, but I can equally see what blow-in is saying, that neither, on their own merits, is worth having above many more form players for their price. If you think Chelsea batter Luton then ok I suppose to pick the most likely scorers.

Whether they are the best picks at that price point is a different question. I have neither and aren't in a hurry to change that because I think they aren't the best options around that price. I read blow in as saying one or the other is good but both is "too much" that's what makes no sense.

Yep. Listen, fixtures can breed form and I do think Sterling looked much like his former self last game but Chelsea as a whole have not been great and the likes of Wissa, Alvarez and Watkins would all be ahead of Jackson for me. I do expect Chelsea to win comfortably but I see them struggling against Bournemouth and Villa.

Agree with ya there. Wissa, Alvarez, Watkins, isak look better picks than Jackson. Diaz, Foden, Bowen, Mitoma, March, Eze, Diaby etc over Sterling

Yeah the perils of text communication I guess. I just see a lot of wanting "coverage" or not wanting to "double up" when it's just an illusion and shouldn't ever factor into predicting points.

With defenders and gk those concepts are valid because they earn clean sheets collectively

This is a valid and good point. However, while it's possible 2 attackers in the same team may do well, there may be 2 attackers in another team that do better.

This is why few went with both Suarez and Sturbridge at the start of their amazing season. There are many roads to FPL points and double forwards seems the least likely.

I have always been baffled when people don’t want to double up on attack. I get it for defence, but if the attack has great potential, picking both makes perfect sense. Picking just one, you may get the wrong one!

    Johnston
    Udogie chilwell, estu
    Saka, martinelli, rash, Bruno, Eze
    Haaland Watkins

    Turner, Gabriel, kabore, mubama

2ft and Scared or not having Mbeumo but I see palace Brentford being a tight game and feel Eze good as easily get a pen or an assist as Mbeumo. Should I make the move?

Considering doing Watkins to Jackson and saving the second transfer. Thoughts?

You can't go from Eze to Mbeumo this early, fair enough to hop off Eze but not to Mbeumo as they are very similar. One has got lucky with 2 pens and tap in, the other has looked just as good and could have gotten a pen against Arsenal that would have been similar to Reamgate. I'd be shipping Bruno or Rash for Foden, City attack looking way better than United.

Is it worth doing the Watkins to Jackson transfer tonight to save an extra 0.1 over having extra information tomorrow regarding my other players via press conferences or leaks?

I don't need the extra 0.1 to do the transfer or for any of my forthcoming plans but at the same time how likely is it that we'll get leaks for Saturday considering that it's a Friday deadline?

I still have 9 first-team players who I can get info on from tomorrow's press conferences, but I also have 2 FTs in case someone is out.

Not a massive fan on Odegaard. Even with pens, I never like having a midfielder who plays as deep as he does.

I like Diaz but don’t like Liverpool’s fixtures so I am thinking of Sterling now to take advantage of Chelsea’s easy run and then switching to Diaz once Liverpool’s fixtures ease.

People here are really expecting Chelsea to do well over the next few weeks and are bringing in their players en masse and I have been in the same boat considering one or two of Jackson, Sterling and Gusto in various transfer options to join Chilwell in my team.

But I just spoke at length to a Chelsea fan, friend of mine that doesn't play fpl and he sounds so downcast on Chelsea at the moment he thinks this run isn't going to be easy and they will struggle for goals, he says sterling and Jackson looked better in their overall general play this past weekend but neither looks even close to scoring, he feels its such a work in progress and they are missing creativity so badly that he suggests I steer clear of Chelsea for now regardless of who they are playing.

That really wasn't what I was expecting and now im feeling very unsure on Chelsea assets.

I agree. Both look promising but there's a lot of players I prefer in the 6.5 - 7.5 range

        He doesn't have Enciso.
You suggesting Beighton don't perform without him?

Do we think that Odegaard will take Arsenal’s next penalty?
