    Dubravka Turner
    Taylor Gabriel Cash Kabore Udogie
    Palmer Martinelli Diaby Son Salah
    Darwin Haaland Archer

1 FT 2.2 ITB. What should I do here? Having Udogie makes me feel that the Porro transfer is a bit of a waste. Any suggestions?

In regards to Haaland wait til we get more info coz according to reports Haaland is walking with no pain.

I’m flirting with the idea myself of Trippier & Mbeumo to Porro & Son but I just know when Luton & Forest come we’re gonna want Tripps. I bought him at 6.5

Pathetic and that meme is retweeted by the famous content creators. Pathetic.

Schar, TAA or dare I say it a Bournemouth defender? 2 plum home fixtures in the next 3 and they are keeping CS and playing well. But no idea which one would be best to go for.

Chelsea also have 2 good fixtures but they are off form and rotation is a worry.

    Who to prioritise this week?

    1) Porro
    2) Schar

Newcastle's next 3 look great and 2 at home where they are superb. Was going to go for Trippier but will not go there now with the suspension. Maybe Porro is the better long term play.

Iraola doesn't trust Semenyo. See his history since GW1 - that's not fitness, that's his coach trying to play anybody else in his position

Archer looked good in his two matches so far under Wilder. Very early days and no returns yet, but he's better running the channels out on the wing than his luck when waiting alone up top for deliveries that never come

Also... Semenyo should be off with Ghana for AFCON

Tiny little things and Semenyo probably gets attacking returns in the next three GWs anyway, but maybe I'm explaining why I'm not spending a hit on the move

For a FT and if you've got GW21+ cover... Yeah, Semenyo gets returns more often than Archer, so it makes sense to an extent

Looking at Newcastle's recent defending and Fulham's recent goalscoring, I'd say it's definitely not Livramento...

FWIW, I'd roll FT here and get Pau next GW instead, just in case flags pop up

Udogie + Colwill + Tsimikas looks very good for this week

  17. Eze Really?
    • 10 Years
    6 months, 10 days ago

So, we end the GW with a few issues:
Haaland is a wait and see but any bad news will create a drop and Watkins going up.
Nunez is on thin ice. Klopp said Pool improved from the 76th minute; the same time Darwin went off.
Isaak who a few went for looks destine for limited time. Another that should go.
Trippier getting a ban is short term harm but has had 2 shockers the last 2 games.
Branthwaite and Taylor have bans and hurt, like Trippier, short term. (Everton will struggle now)
The Chelsea defence rotating and RJames injured will mess up some defences.
My trust is waning with Hammers players.
    Remedies:
Porro, Son and Richarlisson look appropriate moves.
Watkins a must in my eyes with second choice Solanke. Maybe Senesi comes to the fore.
Alvarez and Foden look good options if you can handle GW18.
    Anyone going Fulham?
Is defensive cover required for Villa?
The big question at the end of the week is how to balance GW17 and GW18.
Guys add what you think might be material.

        Yep. Forgot the keepers

    2. Ze_Austin
      • 5 Years
      6 months, 10 days ago

Yeah, Trippier needs this "rest" after two shockers

Skipping Senesi because his three good games can suddenly drop to two if he gets that fifth yellow, and that'll be annoying for BGW18

Reading Pep's full quote on Haaland above, I think my move will be to just get Porro and trust my bench for GWs 17 and 18, since Haaland is my only BGW player left and I'd already planned for him in GW18 anyway... If he misses GW17 too (I don't expect him to miss Palace), Gabriel comes in vs Brighton. Not the best, but Gabriel's no FPL slouch. It would effectively be a hit to sell and a hit to buy back, so I'd be trusting Solanke to outscore my first sub by -8 in two GWs only. It's possible though

I'm still quite cold on Richarlison. Maybe because I started the season with him. I could be missing out, but I want to see him become a regular starter

Villa defence: priority for me after getting Porro. I like Pau's goal threat, while Konsa remains reachable if Pau is too expensive by GW18. If you've already got a Spurs lad, I think Villa defence is a transfer target this GW

Fulham... Considering Willian when Salah and Son depart in GW21. I might add Bailey or Richarlison then. These are my three shortlisted Salah + Son replacements, and maybe Foden. No space for any new attacker for now

Yes some hard decision are going to have to be made this GW.

I've got Trippier, Branthwaite, Taylor, Haaland and Areola and will probably just do Haaland & Maguire to Solanke and Porro and play with this 10.

      Dubravka (Areola)
      Gabreil, Porro (Trippier, Branthwaite, Taylor)
      Salah, Son, Saka, Gordon, Palmer
      Watkins, Solanke (Archer)

I don't think it worth a hit for a third defender which I'd want back anyway.

Can't see him getting more than a point away to Pool, and will then have to use an FT (effectively worth 4 points) down the line to bring a cheapie back to restore my team structure (Trippier, Porro, Gabreil with cheapies who can contribute as back-ups).

Maguire isn't exactly expensive, and his returns are more predictable than Taylor's

You're choosing who to sell, not who to buy

Again, unless you need that 0.4 badly... Sell the worse one

Maguire can sit at third sub until he has the kind of fixtures where he recently kept 3 clean sheets in a row

Taylor is purely here because he was 3.9 when you got him. The returns are unexpected and unpredictable... One was a long range shot, his first goal in years... One was a CS and an assist where Sheffield went down to 10 men early enough

And to top it all off, Taylor is suspended and you're weakening your bench for this GW by selling someone who'll play instead

                That's what we're saying, really

BTW, Klopp's comment is not necessarily a Darwin Nunez concern (only).

I think it was rather Elliot and his willingness to run in midfield that changed the game.Gakpo, Diaz and Salah were all rubbish as well until then. Would be more worried about Szobo minutes.

But anyone upfront looked like out of form and tired. Just like Isak, Gordon, etc. and basically all players of teams playing midweek without rotation.

An extra WC like a year ago would be nice.

      1. Eze Really?
        • 10 Years

I take your point but Darwin is a likely candidate for rotation. Elliot did make a difference for sure

I think Elliot deserves a starting berth but he's also been very good at coming on and changing games off the bench.

I think Grav's minutes are more at risk then Szlob..

I also think Klopp referred to the balance in the team as this is also when Trent came into midfield as a 6 (He was far better then Endo and Endo hasn't really played well when starting). I think this was his main point in that it may hint to Trent playing as a 6 in midfield and Gomez (who played very well when coming on) coming in @ Right Back (which also makes Tsimi a regular in the short term until Robbo is back).

Great Post - Firstly, I did Zinchenko out for Porro last night before the price rise. If I can afford it going forward I want Porro Trent and Trippier as my back 3 maybe with Raya in goal long term.

My team is below just for context (0.0m itb hence why I did Porro last night).

Haaland will start and if he doesn't play Crystal Palace I feel it'll either be out of the squad completely or he starts (I have bench replacements in case).

Luckily I didn't jump on the Nunez hype and stuck with Watkins - partly because I had other issues in my team at the time.

Everton defence looking decent as a bench fodder / 4th defender long term..

I think Villa defence is also important but I doubt I'll be able to fit one in as my priority lies with Porro Trent and getting Trippier in soon.

      Dubrav (Areola)

      Porro Trent Tsimikas (Livra Kabore)

      Salah Son Bowen Palmer Gordon

      Haaland Watkins (Semenyo)

I've done the dreaded early transfer to strengthen my bench. Moved Osula to Cunha (had exact money) Hope is to hold Haaland for a couple of weeks if needed. Cunha has been great since Neto got injured and a good cheap striker option

    Watkins, Cunha,

    Areola, Lascelles, Haaland, Taylor

Will go Leno for all the reasons listed + Wolves dont fail to score. and WHU dont fail to concede.

The same cannot be said on Newcastle and Fullham.

    B) Haaland + Gordon to Son Raul wilkins
    C) Hold n wait for Haaland’s update.

      Haaland to Son, strong maybe

      Gordon to Jimenez, I wouldn't

Combined... Soft maybe, but only if Haaland is confirmed out for Palace

If he's fit, this is an easy roll FT or spend it on a defensive move instead

Oh yeah, Watkins over Jimenez if making the move... But only if Haaland's confirmed out

I'd still rather make other moves. Might even consider Richarlison or someone else in your midfield instead of selling Haaland and Gordon

Time for the content creators to show whether they actually are 'experts' or just living off past glories and happy to milk the income from social for a bit. It'll be interesting to see what creative ideas they can come up with RE Haaland and how quick the first decent one becomes group think/the consensus. Imo the worst thing they can do is watch each others content, clouds the judgement. They all seem bessie mates when reality is theres too many and half of them won't survive beyond another year or two.

Oh they're happy to live off "past glories" and milk the income.

The group think between them will end up being going from Haaland to Solanke.

I suspect the group think will be to bench Haaland and do as little thinking as possible

Hope so! This looks like quite an opportunity to me - even though my squad is a bit of a mess, this is a real fun moment to draw up some new plans. Surprised no one seems to be considering going for a one premium setup til after AFCON

Yeah I'm only one move away from that defence and pretty sure Tsimikas - Trent will pay back -4. Going to have to take hits to get 10-11 starters anyway...

They'll say wait for haaland news if its not too serious then If you've got a strong bench & can cover; keep him (FTs are precious blah blah)

If it looks like he will be out in GW17 with blank in GW18 then sell
Template move will be to watkins (for those who sold him & keep darwin) or solanke for those who already own watkins

    1. House Frey Wedding Planner

Not worth a hit. You'll only get 4 more gameweeks out of Son before he goes to the Asia Cup and every week he seems to be in some sort of pain and questionable if he'll start. He does have 2 great fixtures though with home games against Everton and Bournemouth in that spell though.

Current team with one FT & 1.9 ITB

    Dubravka
    Livramento saliba porro
    Salah son saka palmer Gordon
    Haaland Watkins

    Areola Archer Taylor Branthwaite

I think all of my defenders are nailed to start & could have archer subbing in for haaland, can i get away with saving a FT?

I'm in similar boat but defence is nowhere near as strong. Dilemma over whether to upgrade Archer with the money or the defence. Leaning towards the former option

When you look like at the dream team's values over the last four game weeks, it was always between 58-67 mio. Mainly because of no Haaland, Saka and other expensive players.

Absolute no need to worry about price rises and drops this season. It might change at some point in spring though when ManU have a new manager and a few more players join the game in the winter break.

GW15 feels so long ago now - I was finally happy with my team & ready to roll an FT (until Mbeumo injury) and now look at it...

    Raya
    Porro Tsimikas
Salah Son Gordon Hwang Lo Celso
    Haaland Darwin
    (Areola, Trippier, Digne, Osula, Lamptey)

1 FT. Hits incoming! Got stranded midway through a plan to go 343 (0.4m off Osula - Watkins) but abandoning that now. Would have liked to bench Gordon next week as I think Howe might do the same but that would be -8 at least. Going to do Haaland - Watkins & then decide between spreading the funds & going back to a one premium setup til GW25, or keep the Haaland money & do Darwin - Haaland in 19

    1. Ze_Austin
      • 5 Years

Might need to shift/bench Lo Celso if Richarlison starts ahead of him again

I don't see Gordon getting rested. Hasn't happened all season, and they need every senior player they can get on the pitch right now

Not really, as the only other defender I want is Trent (don't mind the fixtures) and the only way to get him is by selling Darwin (or Tsimikas but then I still have only 2 at the back this week). Not willing to take a hit for any other defender & want to keep Trippier/Porro/Digne intact.

Could get any mid in Richarlison's spot really but I just love Spurs at the moment & can easily cover him with e.g. Jimenez as 8th attacker from next week.

Think its either something like this or -4 to field 10 with no bench. I know its the kind of big hit that most will try to dissuade me from but it kinda looks like 4 non-starters for 4 starters and I'd be judging it longer-term of course as its a major restructuring - but I think this could well be the right time for it

(That hit being Schar --> Sinesi) to free up cash

Wilson and Isak will rotate. There's only a clear answer when one of them is injured, imo

If selling Darwin this week, it's probably for Solanke. That said, selling before the mess that is Man U doesn't feel optimal

I'd rather roll FT and see what happens with Haaland in the latest training pics and pressed before the deadline

Cash and Diaby have been demoted to the bench, with Konsa and Bailey doing well in their places

I expect Diaby and Cash to start in Europe, then the new preferred right side pairing start again in the league

This new system has them in the UCL spots, with wins over the big boys. I don't see Emery changing it
