Made the Trent & Alvarez moves last night. Not sure how I feel about Alvarez tbh - but worth a roll. At worst if Haaland comes back it's just 1 hit.

    Areola
    TAA Porro Gusto
    Salah Son Palmer Bailey
    Alvarez Watkins Solanke
    Leno // Gross Gabriel Taylor

Tricky bench decision this week. Could have skirted Alvarez even, haha.

    - Bench Gross? Areola in between the sticks!
    - Will check Bailey start predictions
    - Bench Porro/Gusto over Gabriel?

Maybe! He's surprised me a bit getting as many mins as he has - but must be as he's such an improvement.

Might depend on if Badiashille starts or not. Had a few stinkers over the last few matches and if he's dropped, Disasi probably at CB, so Gusto RB again.

Having said that Boss Barkley will probably break out hearts.

Gusto can also play LB. Not as effective on that side, but Chelsea have no other fit LBs I can think of. Colwill not a great option there.

Unless fully fit get rid, to much chatter about IF & WHEN, same for KDB.
Neither are walking back in & playing 90, probably benched mins late on with build up.

When Haaland comes back, he may get injured again soon after. This stress fracture doesn't look like going away.

Pity there aren't enough premium assets around or fit (think Salah, KDB) to make a non-Haaland punt possible.

Reluctantly sold last night. There may be a scenario where it's better to have held - but I'm looking at it where at worst it's a -4 to bring him back (selling another player I already planned to sell).

8.4 is a lot of money for a defender, especially when Gomez at 4.5 will cover his cs points at least, but with Haaland injured and Salah & son soon off on their travels everybody can still easily afford him

I've fallen really far behind in the last 2 weeks. Crazy how just two bad weeks can set you back a long way. Was 14K now 76K. All the damage done because I didn't take Haaland out in GW17.

What should I do with this team?

    Dubravka Areola
    Porro Colwill Gabriel Carlos Lascelles
    Salah Son Saka Richarlison Palmer
    Haaland Watkins Cunha

    0.0m ITB.

I'm thinking I can go hit happy or just take it slow and try to reposition myself after Salah and Son go into a more sustainable structure.

    A) Haaland > Alvarez (dull and reactive but Alvarez C will likely be what I do if I make this move)
    B) Cunha + Salah > Foden + Alvarez -4 (Haaland stays another week on the bench but surely he's back in GW21...)
    C) Haaland > Solanke (boring as hell but Solanke's numbers and form suggest he's approaching essential status)

Defense is fine for now. I can dump the Salah + Son money into TAA eventually but with the upcoming fixtures I don't think there's a big rush to do it.

    1. Ask Yourself
      • 7 Years

Same rank as you now. If I were you I’d be tempted to save FT this week and sort out the Salah/son situation next week.

Cunha a decent Haaland filler with (EVE, bha) whilst solanke has (tot, LIV).

I also don’t think SHU are as bad as everyone here seems to think especially under wilder. Then when city play newcastle they’ll have finally have been able to rest and are at home so I fancy them to frustrate city there.

Save and reevaluate next week for me mate.

    Salah Saka Hchan Son Mitoma
    Watkins Alvarez Solanke

In the past my first WC hasn't been kind to me as i've made changes just for the sake of it so I really don't want to do that. Who would you priorities?

The obvious ones are Mitoma, Baldock, Beyer, Turner and poss Hchan with lots of great options but im really not comfortable with getting rid of Salah and Son just because I'm on my WC..... Thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated???

Nice OR! good work. seems like you may not actually need the advice.

You will need to move on from Salah and Son when they are absent, but dont have to do so with WC if you are comfortable only doing one or taking a hit next GW.

Your obvious players are the ones I would move for sure and I would look at Gusto coming in as one of your adds.

Areola could also move , but maybe a hold depending who you bring in for Turner.

Do you have funds to play with for shuffling?

Hey thanks for the reply! Taking less hits and be more patient has certainly made the difference this season.

Yes going to stick with Son and Salah then try and keep just Salah and move son on. Gusto and Branthwaite are in for Baldock and Beyer and so is Estu for Saliba and Neto for Turner and looking at Foden/Bowen and Garnacho for Mitoma and Hchan and then keep Front 3 the same and Saka.

Then look to move Son on next GW depending on Haaland news....

      B. Luton good at home. Chelsea bad away. All three on pens so Hwang edges it on fixture at home for me.
