I need to downgrade to afford Solanke this week. Whilst a lot is presser dependent on the fitness of my players who have games in 29, I am not 100% on playing FH29 so (unless i feel it compromises my decisions this week) I am still hedging the ol' bets.

Clear option was KDB -> Bowen allowing Adebayo -> Solanke.

However, selling Haaland (and getting back on WC30/31) is appealing. So what looks best (all are a hit, result in same volume playing in 29)?

    a. KDB & Adebayo -> Bowen & Solanke
    b. Haaland & Garnacho -> Bowen & Solanke
    c. Haaland & Adebayo -> Solanke & Morris

If B or C is it worth saving the hit and just going Haaland -> Solanke(C)?

      A looks the best.

Can sell Haaland next week to free up cash for Salah GW30 and WC in GW31.

Although if you do B or C, a hit for KDB to Bowen this week or next week also works the same way.

Howe confirms Trippier (calf) will miss next 2 games. “We hope he’ll be back for West Ham (Mar 30) but it’s not guaranteed”. He won’t be with England this month

Only an easy sell if not on FH29. An argument could be made to keep hold for remaining fixtures and doubles

Yeah, no FH 29 strategy here. Will lose value on any player I want back, but Trippier will probably go down a bit in price. So a WC back in now when fit.

Is Foden (liv, blank, ARS) to Bowen (BUR, AVL, new) worth -4 this week?

Not using FH for BGW29. Will WC in GW31.

If not this week would do it for a hit next week.

    1. Tonyawesome69

Yeah bring the hit forward to this GW

In my moves above, one person I wouldn't downgrade is Foden - I just feel like he is the only City man who is truly at full form - and even with the liv and ARS fixtures I think he can still bring in the points.

However, if you are doing the hit regardless then there is an argument to say having Bowen vs BUR gives more chance for it to pay off.

Probably 60:40 towards no, but then that's because I have alternatives...

      1. Karan14
        • 8 Years

Yes Im a little scared of selling Foden honestly I think City will score a couple atleast. I could actually keep Foden sell Garnacho for Bowen next week but then a decison will have to be made in GW30 to get Salah in for one of my mids (Son, Maddison, Saka, Foden, Bowen).

I've got a similar plan and think I'll prob do it this week to get Bowen v Burnley.
Foden form does have me doubting it though

Liverpool defence is not making the decision easier. It seems like they will concede a couple atleast.

    I really don’t want to FH29.

    Haaland/Van Hecke -> Morris/Dougthy -8 would assemble this team:

    Areola*
    Gabriel Dougthy* Saliba
    Foden Palmer Son* Saka
    Morris* Solanke Watkins*

    Dubravka Porro* Moreno* Hwang

Next GW: Hwang -> Bowen* gives me (hopefully) 8 players for GW29.

    A) Do it, do it now!
    B) Madness, burn FH29.

This is a similar conundrum to myself, I think it's really borderline and it probably boils down to how valuable FH will be later down the line (most likely in 34). I'm starting to sway to using FH29

Do I take out KDB for Son for a -4?

I’ve made my changes for this week (two Bournemouth players) and aching for 29. Will be making that change for 30 along with bringing in Salah (injuries permitting), so it’s going to cost me -4 either now or then. Not much in it with expected scoring this week, but might mean getting in before a kdb price drop and son increase?

Come to quite an impasse. A small one, but an impasse.

    A) Bench Gabriel
    B) Bench Emerson
    C) Other?

    Neto (Areola)
    Emerson, Doughty, Zabarnyi (Gabriel, Reguilon)
    Palmer, Saka, Son, Bowen (Maddison)
    Solanke, Morris, Watkins

peoples reading of this pool city game really seems askew on here. i see lots of goals. once again liverpool should have conceded 3 or 4 last night but didnt. with exception of solanke it seems like people want to justify getting players from poor teams who have doubles like morris who in two games will not have the amount of chances erling will . can see this game ending up being a 4-3 ..foden and haaland out for hits seems certifiable.

    Saka / Bowen / Son / Kudus
    Morris / Watkins / Solanke

    Areola / Maddison / Udogie / Reguilion

    GW28: 5 doubles
GW29: Play with 10 and roll, or 11 by getting Toney
    GW30: Salah in for free
GW31: Haaland for a -4, or for free if roll 29 transfer

I can definitely see the advantage to this. Let's you have an optimal team for GWs28 and 29. Route back to Salah and Haaland. Could start building towards a bench boost in DGW37 and FH in DGW34. Really like it.

yep that's basically where i got to in terms of whilst the wildcard is far away from bench boost, there is enough time to build towards it to still have most of the players a wildcard would have. in theory anyway!

So from GW31 your attack looks in decent shape, but you only have 6 FTs left before BB37 - the issue here is you might end up using 4 on your defence. Doughty/Reguilon - no DGW37, Zabarnyi unlikely, Spurs' will probably include City.

        yeah true and good point.

Solanke is in the team, but my captain will be Morris

Doubt it but if you say so. Last 5 minutes you will put the C on Solanke

Is it madness to do 1/ Hwang to Son and 2/ Haaland to Morris for -4?

Trying to save my FH for GW37.

    If I do Solanke-> Toney and KDB -> Kudus/Madddison (-4) in GW29, I can get to that 8-player BGW29:

    Areola
    Doughty
    Bowen Son Maddison/Kudus
    Watkins Toney Morris

The GW29 matchups are quite unpredicatble so i do have conviction on cleansheets. it is quite random. i think i may not be missing much not having 11 players.

Plenty of cash to get Salah in GW30 for Brighton on a FT.

One defender wouldn't bother me. Only CS I would back is Brentford but that's purely due to the opposition & Brentford's injuries / defensive form do make me doubt it

Will be using my FH in 29 and then WC 31. Still having Alvarez isn't ideal as i need Watkins but considering FHing next GW is it worth taking a -4 to do Alvarez to Watkins or even Morris? this week?? Also.....

    1FT 6.9ITB
    Areola Turner
    Saliba Doughty AitNouri Gusto Taylor
    Saka Salah Garnacho Son Hwang
    Solanke Haaland Alvarez

    Hwang to..
    Barkley
    Tavernier
    Bowen
    Kluivert
    Palmer

    Start 1
    A. Alvarez
    B. Garnacho

I’m stuffed for GW29 so FH29 or WC28 is my only option

Have 2FT but WC28 seems best option

    Areola
    Gabriel Porro* Livramento
    Saka KDB Gross Gordon
    Haaland Darwin Solanke
    (Kelleher Garnacho Ake Trippier*)

    A) WC28
    B) KDB, Haaland, Darwin to Son, Morris, Watkins (-4) FH29. This will allow Gross to Salah GW30 and Watkins to Haaland GW31

Ideally on WC I’d look to fix up my defenders and get in Palmer

Tbh I think I'd just prefer FH29 here. Your squad is in pretty good shape without a WC if you just fix one or two defenders & set aside cash for KDB - Salah in 30.

Those with a decent current team - ie saka, palmer foden haaland watkins solanke, double ars defence.

saving the FH is 29 means you are forced to WC in 31 (because you will remove good players such as saka foden haaland etc just to get them back in WC31)

FH29 means saving WC because you can carry forward your good team till the need to WC (maybe 35/36).

its not as simple as saying im saving my FH - saving FH results in using WC. using FH results in saving WC.

interested to know what people in this particular situation are doing.

Thats the reason I wildcarded last week. Set with 4 doublers this week and 9 playing next week. 2 FTs in 30 gets me Salah and Palmer. And Foden in 31.

there is significant value tied up for most in saka, foden, haaland and palmer. non FH29 results in some loss of value there as well
