The ScoutCast – Episode 220 – Manic

Now that the international break is behind us and the fixture list is bulging, the pace to the end of the season promises to be relentless.

It’s even enough to force us into the indignity of a “manic” Monday night ScoutCast.

Having endured the most mediocre of Gameweeks, it’s a blessing in disguise that the next is already upon us. Despite that, we still take time to cast an eye back at the weekend, including a revival of “Rough with the Smooth”, recounting your own contrasting fortunes.

Elsewhere, your community questions have us conducting the now weekly stock check of Manchester United’s double Gameweek wannabes, while Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez’s mood swings also come under scrutiny again as we chew over the likely replacements for the stricken Sadio Mane.

Palace get some love, those teams without a double Gameweek get appraised, and we even take time to explore a new phenomenon: the raiding right-back and curious bonus point darling that is Jesus Navas.

Oh, and much as we tried to shut down Jonty’s attempts to gloat about the latest spectacular success of his goals imminent table, Wilfred Ndidi still gets a mention.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Monday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience, plates and all, via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

ML leader has Vardy captain but doesnt have Sanchez, I have both. C currently on Alexis, as I think hes going to outscore Vardy but should I play it safe and captain Vardy.

Sanchez. I also have both as of now. but I am not being able to decide on either of Vardy+Zaha or Eriksen+Origi to go with my WC team.

Eriksen + Origi would be my pick, especially if you dont have Alli.

Maybe Vardy + Zaha then. Youre going to need that 3rd Spurs spot for Kane, close toto returning now.

20, with WC and BB available, him all out. So no reason to risk but I still think Sanchez could repeat the last whu game score.

Go with Sanchez then. You'll easily beat him with your BB in 37.
If you were even on chips, then I'd say vardy.

Obligatory Mané replacement question, however with twist, due to our mini-league rules we cant bring in each others players so I need to replace Mané but I can't have Alli, Eriksen, Pedro, Coutinho, Firmino or Hazard. I've got 10.3 to spend, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Would mean no Sanchez or Zlatan but I think its worth keeping Aguero for (c) next week at home to HUL.... I also have my WC for the doubles, but Sanchez is the killer to not have..

A, I think. I like Tadić, but it's too early for him, the fixtures don't look too good, Southampton have nothing to play for anymore and these teams tend to perform badly or at least unpredictably in the last few gameweeks of the season.

Would you buy Origi for Carroll?
Mané's situation is not looking well, so I think he's pretty safe. On the other hand Carroll always scores against Arsenal and has nice fixtures after, but apparently we can't expect him to score more than a goal a game.
