Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Arsenal

Saturday’s action comes to a conclusion at Vicarage Road as Watford entertain Arsenal in the 5.30pm kick-off.

We have a chance to scout budget midfielder Richarlison as the fixtures fall in the Hornets’ favour from Gameweek 10.

The Brazilian has bagged three goals and two assists already, though has yet to find the net in front of his own supporters.

For the Gunners, there’s no Alexis Sanchez or Aaron Ramsey, while Mesut Ozil only warms the bench.

Alex Iwobi – at just 5.1 – earns a third start in four Gameweeks in light of his strike against Brighton last time out.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Lacazette, the fourth top captain choice for this round of fixtures, looks to break his away drought, with all four of the Frenchman’s goals arriving at the Emirates.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Thoughts on who to get rid of with £1.6m ITB?

    Fabianski,
    Kolasinac, Davies, Jones, Naughton,
    Eriksen, Salah, Ritchie,
    Kane, Jesus, Vardy.

    Elliot, King, RLC, Mbemba,

Upgrade Mbemba for a stronger defence if you’re going to play 4-3-3 most weeks?

What's the punishment for a dive if spotted by the ref? Is it still a yellow? If so, then why is it a 2 match ban if caught out with retrospective viewing? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Seems like a player gets punished more if the ref makes a mistake. Have I understood it right?

So it's there as a deterrent.

      |The ban only comes in if it results in a penalty or a red card for the opponent. If the ref spots it then there are no repercussions

Why is it not a red card if the red spots it in the game?

Of course you then get the problem of replays showing that it wasn't a dive

I suppose it's hard for a ref to be 100% sure to give a red. So this way, there's punishment for the player in both cases. Hopefully it stops the cheaters swan-diving anyway

    Torn between 2 options.

    A) Firmino > Abraham + funds for upgrading my midfielders in the coming weeks.
    B) Firmino > Vardy

Others are Kane / Jesus / Eriksen / Mkhi / Gross / Ritchie / Carroll

I've enjoyed a rollercoaster ride with my midfield this season, missing out on KDB's points and plenty of autosubs. Who should I get to plug the whole this coming week (2FTs)?

      GW1: KDG RLC
      GW2: KDB Iwobi
      GW3: KDB Chalobah Carroll
      GW4: Mkhi Carroll
      GW5: Mkhi RLC Chalobah
      GW6: Mkhi Carroll Cork
      GW7: Sanchez Carroll
      GW8: Carroll Cork
      GW9: ???

      A) Zaha + 9.7 mid
      B) Richarlison + 10.2 mid

if you were on a wildcard which City 3 would you want? Is 433 here to stay I wonder or could they be 352 again soon?

      A look at the options:

      1. Aguero - captaincy potential but if Pep sticks with 433 could be sharing minutes with Jesus
      2. Silva - seems most nailed on and should keep chipping in either formation.
      3. Sane - in amazing form but where does he fit in if Pep wants Jesus and Aguero up front together
      4. Sterling - see above
      5. Jesus - fantastic mins to goal record and possibly the no.1 striker in a 433
      6. KDB - nailed on and tipping away with points but overpriced

Couldn't really argue iwth anyone who had any of those 6 in their team but picking the right 3 very difficult

I'll be looking at tripling up in attack. Looking at either

        A) Agüero + Jesus + Sterling
        B) Sterling + Silva + one of Agüero/Jesus

Have Otamendi, but thinki he'll have to go.

Watford have signed a really good manager.
Marco Silva nearly performed a miracle at Hull last season, and his Watford team look pretty solid this season.

I've always based my fantasy team around coverage. My reasoning for this over the seasons is that in general I tend to do quite well every week but never amazing or awful. It looks like City's attacking threat (and to a lesser extent Spurs) are finally going to punish these type of players. With that in mind, I might have to start switching up my game. Any coverage players out there thinking the same?

There is no such thing as coverage IMO. Your player(s) from a particular team scores points or they don't. End of.

        What happened to Wimmer today?
Am I right in thinking he's a decent budget man with those upcoming fixtures?

Or is Cameron the better 4.4 Stoke option? OOP in CM also.

I see quite a few people getting rid of Kane now. I believe Kane could easily haul next week.

I don't think the problem is just Wembley, it's who Spurs have faced at Wembley. All the teams they have played there in the PL have parked the bus against them, and Spurs seem to really struggle to break through those teams when there are 7-8 players sitting in the box. It was not too long ago when Spurs beat Dortmund there - a team that always has an attacking approach

Liverpool has a really attacking style of play and I think that they could be punished

Good point. But still not trusting him with the arm bad. If he scored big great, might consider it for next home game.

People forget that Kane also scored twice in the Dortmund game AT WEMBLEY

Just decide whether to own or not to own and stop faffing around

The only faffing is to be sure that Kun and/or Morata are fit. If so, will faff Kane right out of my squad, maybe for rest of season. Is good, but maybe not good enough with the cheaper options available.

63 with Baines and Vardy to go. Half wish I'd gone with Oka instead of Vardy so to free up funds, though...

I own Monreal but I'm not gutted about losing CS points when I see these petulant man children having meltdowns on Arsenal Fan TV
