FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 4

Fantasy Premier League managers have plenty of big decisions to make ahead of Gameweek 4.

It’s the last round of fixtures before the first international break of the campaign so it will be important to go into the week off in a good position.

To help you do that, we’ve put together another panel of Fantasy managers to help you with any dilemmas you may have.

Who’s on the panel this week?

FPL General – Contributor to the Scout site who has three finishes inside the top 400 in the last five seasons and who has a huge following on Twitter. General – aka Mark – also appears regularly on the official FPL Show.

Ben Crabtree – A former FPL winner, who claimed the title in 2016/17 without using a single Liverpool player.

Ted/Rotation – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

Bowstring the Carp – Two top 1k finishes (126 and 754) and one of our best community article writers. Recently wrote some excellent pieces on Pep Guardiola and his tactics.

                  These are not the best fixtures but not very tough also given the current circumstances. So getting 1 return from these 2 matches is not impossible which is good enough for his price.

                  Long term their fixtures are really good and start off with a plum fixture this week.

            This is what I'm wondering....

            I have 1FT and Jota also. I was planning on saving FT this week and just letting Lundstram come off the bench for Martial but now not so sure when the likes of Barnes, Cantwell and Mount are looking such good value...

            - any other way (apart from WC) to get salah if i opt for this option?

              Quite like this WC, I really like PVA but maybe I should downgrade and upgrade zinc to Laporte, currently have a benching headache going on this week..                         Why would you want either of those things? Liverpool defense quite uninspired. Mane too expensive as is Firmino.
                        City defense huge rotation risks all of them except Laporte who's too expensive.

                          Is laporte too expensive? It depends on how much you value having cover and the hope of avoiding Pep roulette. I bought Laporte in on my W.C. last week but now thinking the Zinc would have been fine as appears as nailed as any of them at present and if he was to miss the odd game would that really be that bad? The extra Million can be used to good effect elsewhwere, would certainly allow me to upgrade Mane to Salah if I wanted or VVD to TAA, which I now regret not doing :(. Never know though, next week it may all look different again :)./

                    Both have their merits, tough choice as I think A is more flexible and easier to do a further sideways transfer later. However not having City def cover is a big minus :(.

                                  wheoever has the better fixture generally between Sterling and Salah or if I think one has better form. So im tending to opt for Sterling most weeks (probably). But this week Pukkis fixture and form look too good and im kinda expecting Sterling to blank soon.
                                  I think Pukki could even get another hatti this week potentially, but with that said its still a risky captain pick because most will go Sterling or Salah. But I just cannot see Pukki blanking in that fixture personally. Maybe Kun outshines Sterling neway

                                    one thing I will say that I learnt in past seasons is dont pick differential captains tbh because if you egt it wrong and sterling or salah get big points you can drop behind quite far, but im feeling adventurous so Pukki it is. If you want the safe bet then go Sterling
