Who are the best FPL captain options for Double Gameweek 36?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are advised to target assets who play twice in Double Gameweek 36 when looking for their next captain.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m) have emerged as the two outstanding candidates, but are there any outsiders who are perhaps being overlooked?

First, we will assess the fallout of the captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Saturday’s 13:30 BST deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

As expected, Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are leading the captaincy poll ahead of Double Gameweek 36.

So far, Liverpool’s Salah has been handed 50.17% of total votes by our users. Second-place De Bruyne, meanwhile, has received 18.56% of votes ahead of his double-header against Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The top four is closed by two familiar names: Son Heung-min (£11.0m) and Reece James (£6.4m), with 6.03% and 3.19% respectively.

    Anyone still playing a FH even if they already have 9/10DGW players etc?

    I just feel I don't have the best ones and would rather take my chances in 37 with current team instead

      yes, me! I have 11 DGW without FH, but it's triple spurs, trilple arsenal, triple LFC - and no city/chelsea and to much money tied up in Kane to get the team I want.

      37 is for me better with triple of the mentioned teams + a couple of Villa IMO 🙂

            Thanks. Both are valid options.
            Already have White so not sure if I would like to double up Arsenal defense. Although White is flagged yellow.
            Was keeping an eye on Emerson, which would mean I'd triple up Spurs, already got Kane and Kulu. In DGW36, chances that Spurs will not be able to help clean sheet in either of the matches are high imo.

      Because Diaz is a beast and makes things happen. He can do some serious damage even if he gets like 120 minutes. People need and/or want differentials like him to climb up the rankings.

        Sure but then I will have Thomas instead of Laporte in a DGW.
        I dont think Thomas will start and Laporte will atleast get 1 start and most likely a CS and that is only GW36.
        The team will be stronger overall with Laporte going forward.

    Initial thoughts -
    James, Havertz, Kane, Broja > Laporte, KDB, Richarlison, Dennis.
    Taking a -8
    Dennis can also be pukki.

    but there was feedback that they wouldn't do it.

    I feel like James wouldn't play both games with the FA cup looming and i really want KDB.

    Any other suggestions?

    I think I'm going No-Salah and staying on KdB(c) with Kane.

    As I look at it, I'm six points up on not taking a hit to get Salah back for Bruno last week, as my KdB sub was Gordon for three and Salah only scored one, so would have been a net -3 after the hit. If I bring Salah in this week again for a hit, another four points gone, that means I'm effectively ten points up owning KdB(c) vs Salah(c) for a -4. I just can't see the difference being that big with a cup final looming next weekend and City having nothing else to play for but to throw everything at the league.

    Also I then have two trades for DGW37 which could be well handy, maybe Salah in for free then funded by Werner>Richarlison.

        I agree. I fancy Werner>Rich then I have 2.0m ish to use elsewhere or roll into GW38 with two again.

        Wish I never did the Salah>Bruno double DGW hokey-cokey! It was all fine until I switched Lacazette to Werner leaving me 0.1 short to switch back lol
