Each manager picks one player at a time. Draft is at 7pm Saturday (20 hours from now). If you're not around at that time, the game will auto select players for you based on their ranking.

If you won't be around at 7pm, you can simply pre-select the order you want to pick players: go to Draft Room, then click on 'Watch' next to the players you want. Do this in the order you want them in, eg click on Haaland first.

After that, you can transfer in any available players throughout the season. The transfers go through 24 hours before each GW deadline.

Outside chance of starting GW1 due to injuries. Likely to mainly a sub again this season. Newcastle lineups in friendlies this weekend might give a clue to Howe's starting 11 for GW1.

      1. Hairy Potter

He's probably competing with Tonali and Longstaff (if fit) for a midfield place alongside Bruno and Joelinton. Willock doesn't look like he'll be fit for GW1.

He can play as a winger, though Howe has questioned previously about whether he's quick enough. Not sure he gets in ahead of Gordon, Almiron, Barnes and Murphy.

Regular sub appearances appearances for a 4.5 FPL bench player isn't too bad.

Fair assessment, they are pretty stacked in midfield.

But the options are slim at 4.5 mid.

I think he was more of a consideration when jesus and nkunku were fit

I think he will be a part of GW1, and if he does as well as he has recently, he stands a chance of keeping his place. By the time NUFC assets are worth owning (I'm thinking GW5 onwards) we'll have a much better idea.

    Onana (Pickford)

So the 6.5mids I’ve researched and researched and there’s just no choosing between them. It’s driving me crazy. So I’m thinking I’ll just have them all! If you plan a few transfers ahead, and money is kind, you can have Mitoma to Mbuemo to Diaby to Eze.

    Salah VS no-Salah

    A) salah, baldock, colwill (ready for Gw3)
    B) foden, stones, chilwell

Gw3 money from salah to go Rashford and nkunku

If you’re not going to captain Salah in GW2 then B. If you would captain Salah in GW2 then probably still B

I feel ready (bar any injuries). Thoughts?

    Martinez
    Gabriel - Saliba - Ahmedhodžić
    Salah - Saka (C) - Bruno - Foden - Diaby
    Haaland - João Pedro
    (Bentley - Colwill - Pau - Mubama)

Tempted by a 4-5-1 with Ederson & Estupiñan instead of Pickford & Colwill, but probably too risky

Yeah, that’s tempting. I’m not a fan of Ederson as a pick but Estupinan looks quite a big upgrade on Colwill in terms of safety and how much more attacking I’d expect him to be. It’s a close one

    Onana
    Chilwell Saliba Estupinan
    Saka Martinelli Rashford Bruno Mitoma
    Haaland Watkins

    Areola Bell Beyer Mubama

Any ideas where to put the extra 0.5 or keep it in the bank?

    Onana (Areola)
    TAA Stones Estupinan (Bell, Beyer)
    Foden Rashford Mitoma Mbuemo Saka
    Haaland Watkins (Archer)

Thoughts on this draft? Downgrade TAA and improve the bench and upgrade Mbuemo to someone like Bruno?

Pretty template but that’s fine. I don’t think you need to upgrade the bench - you’ve got at least 2 that will start games. Not going Trent myself but I think this is fine with him

Probably could have secured him for 20-30m more than Hojlund

Hojlund’s so much younger though. It’s a tough comparison as you’re mostly buying potential but the decision’s made now so might as well just get behind him and hope he proves good/better value

I don't think so. Supposedly Levy's asking price is much higher for English clubs than it is for foreign ones.

Who can be bothered dealing with Levy? Just look how long the saga with Bayern is being dragged out.

I wonder if it would be different (from Kane’s perspective) if it was an English club buying him

    4. Swahealy

They know spurs won't sell Kane to united, Levy is even trying to get a buy back clause in the contract to Bayern so he can't go back to any other prem teams in a few years

    Tinkering a bit.

    Onana/4.0
    Gabriel TAA Stones (Estupinan Chilwell)
    Saka Mbuemo Mitoma Foden Rashford
    (4.5) Joao Pedro Haaland

Bit too much of the money spread out do you think? I could downgrade the defence a little and get a 6.0-7.5 forward but all of them I feel like have a minutes risk.

    1. Bushwhacker
      • 6 Years

You've got one forward with a guaranteed start.

Joao pedro I "think" will play based on what they have spent on him and willing to take the minutes risk at 5.5 with a better bench. Could also take the punt on Nketia for the first couple of gameweeks. Also Think 4-5-1 can probably work. hmmmmm

I don't think money has anything to do with it ; they've bought him for the future with Ferguson and Welbeck. It'll be interesting to see.

Could easily downgrade the defence to get mbuemo up to Martinelli or Odegaard. Don't see what all the fuss about Mbuemo is, Brentford gonna struggle without the main man Toney

Benching Estupinan at home to Luton can’t feel great. I think you’re probably going to end up hoping Pedro doesn’t play a minute. Might as well just make a decision on whether you’re 4-5-1 (and downgrade Pedro, have an extra 1m in the bank) or 3-5-2 (downgrade a defender, have 1m in the bank).
