What to do with Joao Pedro?

    A) Play and hope, save FT
    B) Play Kabore (WHU) or Baldock (EVE), save FT
    C) Pedro -> Morris (WHU)

Play Baldock, if SHU play like they did against MCI, they'll lock Everton out.

So, the million dollar question is Sterling or Maddison? Quiet disappointed as I sold Maddison prematurely last week.

I share the same sentiment, but more than willing to take it on the chin and get him back right away
Although I slightly prefer sterling for the next 5 overall.

Agreed. Sterling's price allows me to put money elsewhere as well. Well, if I do Salah/Rashford > Sterling.

Leaning towards Sterling. Better fixtures and I think more likely to get a goal compared to Maddison likely to get assists imo

Sure, more routes to points with set pieces which are towards providing assists.

With Richarlison likely out of the side next week, Maddison probably moves up as the penalty taker - six of eight in his professional career.

      1. Tonyawesome69
        • 7 Years
        2 years, 3 months ago

Ange Postecoglou on the next penalty taker:

"Sonny is up there, I think Madders and Richy are all sort of in there, Bissouma I have seen take about 500 and miss about 495 but he is still out there practising, so I don't know but it is somewhere in that order."

    1. The Mentaculus
      • 4 Years

Pretty much. Last week I thought I was in good shape & could maybe WC9 but now I'm reverting to WC5 & deadend this week. Johnstone, Jota & Pedro look like issues now, losing patience with Martinelli, have money itb after selling Salah but no decent subs, starting to buy into the Sterling hype & really want to get a couple of Villa players in

      1. Hairy Potter
        • 10 Years
        2 years, 3 months ago

Yeah, Jota and Martinelli are two I'm thinking of losing. Not sure me committing to 3-4-3 is helping either, unless Alvarez and Watkins do something this GW. I hadn't really given my WC much of a thought, but maybe I should look at what my team could look like for GW5.

I think folks are far too reactionary to returns in 1GW and not looking the bigger picture in fixtures and underlying stats. Bruno was a good example after GW2

True. Sometimes I want to do something to 'fix' my team, when the right move might be no move. Hard to tell what is right at times!

Yeah, I did garbage in GW2 and felt like ripping things up. I ended up rolling FT and had GW rank of 58k this week. Especially early on I think patience with the right players is important

Exactly my sentiments. Gab, Martinelli, Pedro all need to go, really, but I can put a decent team out for this week.
Think I will hold off and try for 2FT

  6. Tonyawesome69
    • 7 Years
    2 years, 3 months ago

    Initial transfer thoughts:

    A. Martinelli to Sterling and save 2nd FT
    B. Baldock to Edogie/Gvardiol and save 2nd FT
    C. Do both A+B

Option A is the aggressive move from one good option to another. Option B is the safe play to strengthen defence and better rotation. Ideally looking to have 2FTs over IB.

    2FT 2.0ITB
    Pickford
    Estupinan Saliba Chilwell
    Saka Mbeumo Bruno Rashford Martinelli
    Haaland Jackson
    (Turner Archer Baldock Kabore)

    1. Lord of Ings
      • 10 Years

      Option C for me
But if you really want 2 FTs, B is the balanced one

I think the calculated thing to do is box off ml rivals and keep Rashford and put in a city defender as that’s what they’ve all got.

Favouring Maddison over Sterling as already got Jackson and only have Udogie from Spurs

So Martinelli Gabriel to Maddison Dias

    Sensible???

    1. Would you sell Gabriel and be done with it- no other moves? Best replacement- Gusto/Cash/Udogie.
    2. Keep Gabriel and transfer an attacker- Martinelli -> Sterling/Madders/Foden.
    3. Gabriel + 1 other player out for a -4.

    Pickford.
    Chilwell, Henry, Estupinan.
    Fernandes, Martinelli, Rashford, Saka.
