Spending money on your bench is a tricky proposition: you need to balance the cost of leaving cash on the sidelines every week versus the risk of having insufficient talent to take up the slack when your first team players are injured or suspended. You might be able to squeeze in the odd 6.0 player to ride the bench but you simply can’t afford to have 20.0+ of talent on there, generating zero points each week; trade-offs have to be made.
To try to help me decide on Kolarov or not I decided to look at fouls conceded by Swansea for freekick potential.
Swansea have conceded the 5th most fouls in the league so far.
But!
Swansea have conceded the 3rd fewest fouls away from home!
So that didn't really help me at all...
Isacki - are you doing it?Open ControlsAs Mataunreal pointed out - they've played the joint least away game so distorts the stats.
Open ControlsThe Kolarov punt basically relies on there being a FK outside the box at some point...otherwise he's just a bog standard defender!
Open ControlsNah. 2 assists from open play vs Sunderland wasn't it?
There's also the chance of some Clichy + Kolarov bonus time with Kolarov on the wing.Open ControlsTrue, his assist potential is strong no doubt. Although his second assist against Sunderland was just because he got fouled and Milner blasted a FK in.

Which one to field: Noble(wig) or Michu(mci) ?
Which one to captain: Cazorla(QPR) or Bale(sou) ?
Cheers! 🙂Open ControlsAny changes you'd make to this lineup for this week? Already done my free transfers (Pienaar to Mata and van Persie to Rooney) so I'll stick with the squad as it is. Sub order, captain choice and everything else look in order?
Begovic
Ivanovic, Baines, Vertonghen
Michu, Nolan, Mata, Bale (c)
Fletcher, Ba (v), Rooney
Subs: Jaaskelainen, Maloney, Cuellar, DemelOpen ControlsYeah, lots of money invested in it but all potentially able to chip in with attacking points.
Open Controls
I'd play Maloney over Michu but I am a fan of the wee scotsman.
Open ControlsMe too actually, but with Michu playing as striker at the moment I can't bring myself to drop him.

Team for the week:
Al-Habsi
Baines Boyce Wilson
Bale Sterling Cazorla Gervinho
RVP Jelavic Crouch
1FT, .6 ITB (Schwarzer; Hangeland, Ramirez, Demel)
Leaning towards banking the transfer at this stage. That the best move or should I look to gain City cover (would mean a -4) or Newcastle (swapping Jelavic for Ba).Open ControlsI'd be tempted to not double up on Wigan and play one of your Fulham guys to spread the risk...You might kill me for suggesting this...but I'm only suggesting it as an idea.
P.s Did Al Habsi's kit get changed since the start of FPL? I remember he had a green jersey...I barely recognise him now 😀Open ControlsI'm thinking of taking out Jelly but its a derby and expect goals in that!
So keeping him for one more week!
Since you already have Caz, I would consider Gervinho > HBA if I were you.Open ControlsI have the very same midfield except b.arfa (who's playing instead of sterling) instead of ramirez.
Surely like me you're not too happy about having 2 arsenal mf the way they're playing!
you could get someone like walters for ramirez and play him, but it's probably best to leave it and not take a hit.
Last chance for mr forehead I'm sure!Open Controls
Is Clichy nailed on??
Thinking of doing Davies > Clichy/Richards.
But somehow not convinced by Richards' gametime.
A bit of help will do.Open ControlsClichy certainly not nailed on - I wouldn't go for either.
Some are going Kolarov this week... I think he's more likely to start than Clichy but is obviously not guaranteed gametime long term. I'd rather go for a stoke defender for the next 6, personally.Open ControlsYeah I thought of that too!
I like Cameron more than Wilson(unlike others!) but I'm worried bot not having any City cover for their good fixtures.Open Controls
kolarov means anything but nailed on. think richards will play
Open ControlsI don't think any City full-backs are nailed on. You'd be spending a lot to bring in a player at risk of rotation every week.

If anyone has any Fantasy League qustions or needs help with their team, leave your questions here.
Only comments/questions submitted before 10pm Friday will be answered.
I will give my honest oponion and a detailed answer.Open ControlsRafael is a guaranteed player but has two consecutive dodgy fixtures. Kolarov, I feel, is a more attacking player and feel he will probably play tomorrow after Clichy's 'mistake'. Kolarov is a big rotation risk, like all City defenders and with the slating of the 3-5-2 system I cannot see Kolarov playing in the left of midfield. Both defences are conceding many goals but unlike City, United have defensive injuries. Taking all of this into account I would advise to keep Rafael, saves the 4 points and after Chelsea and Arsenal, United's fixtures improve dramatically. Stick with the young man.

Could you upload poof of your qualifications and a detailed Cv please.

Open Controls
anyone going into this gw without city attacking cover and scared?..i am
Open ControlsYes, hopefully Tevez won't get much and Swansea can keep the score respectable.
Open ControlsYep...a little scared too...I hope someone like Barry scores a brace and Nastasic gets his first goal.
Open ControlsI have the same worry not having any Spurs cover !
Open ControlsAs things stand, but fairly likely to bring in Tevez / Aguero tonight out of fear.
Open ControlsNo cover, never worried this whole season
Open ControlsFor the next 6 weeks you will not leave your spot behind your sofa.
Open Controls
Yeah I'm going without City & Spurs coverage 🙁

Torres and Michu to Ba and Mata ehh??Open ControlsI think Tevez or Aguero will be benched tomorrow...Balotelli will surely start...so only one of them will play. Sorry guys...
Open ControlsI think both Tevez and aguero will start. Tevez C here.
Open Controlsany basis for this crazytalk?
Open ControlsJust a hunch. Balotelli didn't start against Ajax...Aguero played the whole game...Tevez might be due a rest in the PL...it's just something I can see happening.
Open Controls
ummm.. why is it that balo will surely start?
Open ControlsBecause?
None of us can be sure. And let's be honest, you have been wrong more then right lately.Open Controlsabout what?
Open Controls
Begovic.
Open Controls^ Reply fail. 🙂
Open ControlsFor 2 weeks only:
a) Tevez, Ba and Bale.
b) Tevez, Aguero and Nasri.
Obviously b is the risky one, but is it worth the gamble??Open ControlsSaylor or Colo? My final dilemma...
Open ControlsArsenal to beat QPR at home
Stoke to beat Sunderland at home
Malaga to beat Espanyol (away)
Barcelona to beat Rayo Vallecano (Away)
pays out about 8/1, sound good?Open ControlsWow, so torn with:

Jussi:5
Bego:4

Open ControlsMignolet
Wilson Hangeland Gorkks
Bale(vc) Cazorla Mata Sterling
Rvp Tevez(c) Ba
Federici Clyne Demel Pienaar
0.2 in bank
All set then... now to sit back and wait for the weekendOpen ControlsNever take a hit for a defender...right?..even if you've only one fit/playing sub?
That started off as a statement, ended as a question...and proves my indecision!!
Have Cole, McAuley, Mertesacker as fit defenders, Demel and Bertrand (I know...) on the bench (along with Noble). Have resisted Bertrand to Wilson or Hughes (for the hit) thus far. Would you do it or just stick and risk it?Open ControlsI would do it. You have to sell Bertrand eventually
Open Controlsstick
Open ControlsAgree you'll have to get rid of Bertrand eventually - but don't think it's worth a hit when you've got three playing defenders, 2 of which have a bit of attacking potential and the other is at home to QPR.
Open ControlsCheers Limpar - voice of reason. Were you one of the wise men who urged me not to dump Noble for Sterling last week? If so...massive cheers!
Open Controls
Well, I've sold Saylor for Wilson. I would like to guarantee that Stoke concede and Saylor starts, scores a goal, and Newcastle keeps a clean sheet. Okay, anti-jinx complete.
Open ControlsAlways hope Lambert & Clyne will do something this week with Gibbs,Demel & Peanut on the bench.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Open Controlsbego or manone this week!?
thinking bego here
arse leaking lately
but realy bego or manoneOpen ControlsHey, guys, could you help me find a way to get Ba or Ben Arfa into this team with my two free transfers? (Due to Arsenal's fixture it's hard to touch them this week)
