Problem is the following players are missing
1. Gerrard
2. JanuzJ
3. Lukaku
4. Ozil.
Hence, should I go with
1. 4 decent mids with a 5m midfielder eg Sterling, JanuzJ
2. 5 decent mids as per above team

if you're gonna play all 3 forwards, you should go with 1, ditching Eriksen. I wouldn't worry to much about Gerrard, Lukaku, Ozil or Januzaj.
Boruc and Mannone are great GK's.
But there fixtures will give you headache some game weeks. So at least take a look at Cardiff and Sunderland fixtures.
That would give you:
SOT, STO,NOR, HUL, AVL, HUL, WBA, FUL, CPL, nor, WHM, CPL, sot/eve, STO, CAR, new, SWA
But then again, Boruc is a great keeper.
Biggest disappoint of the day. Starting David Marshall or getting him in on a WC for Krul. Thank goodness for that FT each.
For the next 2 gwks would you take a punt on:

I am tempted by A, as Spurs have no F.A Cup and will be well rested for City

i'm a villa fan, and while i was sort of optimistic early in season, i'm very pessimistic now. they may be mid table but are just 6 points from bottom! i think they've been very lucky with some of their wins this year too, and just look like a horrible side, no cohesion at all. i think andy carroll will save west ham, really. west brom look dodgy too, but think they'll be ok. cardiff are an unknown

I think you're fine. 4-5 changes is more than enough to justify, I think. You only have a few weeks to use it anyways. Might as well be now. Also, Kun might not be rushed back against Cardiff. I could see him playing the last 20 or something, maybe. That gives you time to secure 2 free transfers for the game after maybe? Anyways, I wouldn't stress too much about it. Getting it out of the way sooner means you capitalize more quickly on what you want to do, and the second half of the season is already a couple games in. Long story short.....you might be on the perfect path.
The thing is out of those 4-5 players, 3 will be only cosmetic, just to get cheaper bench fodder
But you are right, those .3, .4 M can be the difference in long run
Changing bench fodder is a good reason, and catching price rises is definitely good too. The lower priced guys are always harder to get around to on the whole during regular weeks, so why not do it now for free. Another thing to think about is maybe some people won't even use their January Wildcards because their teams are just where they want them. These Wildcards are kind of tricky in a sense, so I don't think there is any "ideal" time to use them.

It's been one game...I still love the home fixtures that rotation breeds until the end of the season. Got Clyne in to cover soton for their good ones and I think it should work out fine.

Looks in good shape, either a defensive transfer or sell Sterling if he's not expected to start.

I crash out of the FFS Cup. The run was good wile it lasted strangely it came down to Azpilicueta vs Burner (me) I shit you not.

Having Suarez and Aguero might look scary but where does that leave the rest of your team? I want both but trying to do it looks like madness just like how I tried to fit Bale and RvP at the start of the season. My question is can one get away with not having Aguero? I used my WC and I like the balance Kun would really jack that up.

If the mid you get due to Aguero is terrible, the other combo will probably be better.
