Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2011/12 Is Now Open

Yes folks, it’s the day (night) we’ve all been waiting for. It’s here. Finally.

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has opened its doors for season 2011/12.

After a few false starts last week, with the new look needing one or two final tweaks, everything is now in order and we can begin to pick our squads ahead of the big kick-off on the 13th of next month.

So waste no more time and head on over to the Premier League official site to begin picking your fifteen.

We’ll have a further round-up of some of the prices in a little while but in the meantime, put off your bedtime for just a while. FPL is back.

Oh, and in case you are all wondering: Aleksander Kolarov is priced at 6.5. Don’t all rush at once, now.

      Like that a lot if I'm honest, N'Zogbia is probably going to leave so I'd just replace him with Hoolahan and upgrade your defence. You have Rodallega anyway.

        Cheers, part of my thinking was that Nzog will likely go to Villa if anywhere and their opening fixtures are also decent...

          Oh yeah good point, didn't actually think of that.

          Probably Nelsen, I don't fancy Blackburn to do that well and they have a good first fixture but after that have a few more tricky home fixtures, which realistically are the only games they are going to keep cleanies in.

          I suppose Simpson could do with being upgraded but at that price is the best around so if you have to keep him or just want a Newcastle defender then definitely keep.

    I know I cant really judge on this game, but Macheda looks as if hes improved a lot. Now if he could just learn the offside rule

      Get Huth out, definitely isn't worth 6.0 and also Luiz, nobody knows whether he will start or not under AVB. Also, I'd take Taraabt out, he will definitely leave.

          Fair enough. There was some idle talk about a separate forum for RMTs but I prefer it this way. Got options to ignore, roll-eyes at rubbish teams or go 'oooo' that team's better than mine.

    Just logged on and set up my team, a cracker of a team name this year if I do say so myself. Nice on the Vice Captain rule, no more Lucky Lampard 4 goal hauls then!

    Site looks really good and even better is clicking on the Scout and seeing our boys front and center. Well done Mark and all the team at FFS, a great achievement.

      Defence way too expensive. Rilse has to go, just way too expensive, same with Baines imo, I'd wait and see how Everton start before getting him in.

      Midfield is good but Lucas?! You really need to downgrade that defence though, you have Torres as a captaincy option and probably Silva just about....

        understand the captaincy issue, but thinking that between torres, silva, and the starts that wigan (nzog) and fulham (zamora) have, i should be good for options for the first quarter season and/or until i wildcard.

        as for the defense, it seems that defenders with attacking potential are all priced at a premium. really the only defender i have upon whom i'm relying for clean sheets only is kompany. ward, baines, cole, and riise all will likely return assists/goals.

        i guess the question would be: who from the promoted sides has attacking value in defense?

      my understanding is that taarabt is off to psg. nani may be a rotation risk, so you might want to look elsewhere for manu cover. agree on gabby...probably better fish in the sea. suarez is on track to miss 'pool's early fixtures.
