I know this may sound crazy but Nolan's good fixtures are about to end so Its between him and Fellaini depending on whether the later will be back from injury.

So how are people feeling about the upcoming fixtures? Any worries? Any players you are desperate to get in or players you're unsure on. I can't wait til next Saturday..the lack of FPL over the last 2 weeks was horrible!

I'm very keen to get Ba in. I need to right the wrongs of choosing Lambert over him 3 weeks ago. I think I have been lucky that Ba hasn't done much in the last two games.

It's a shame about Lambert, he's showed promise and value for money at times but Southampton are really really struggling. They can't go on conceding like they do and I fear that might mean battling it out for results...you just can't have much faith in a striker when that's the situation. If they had got a few results I think their style might have allowed them to continue being expressive in an attacking sense...but god knows what they will do over the next few fixtures.

Yeah it does come down to the fact that Newcastle are a much more capable team. I really thought the saints will do well against teams in the same catagory as West Ham but they were simply 'hammered' 😉

Yeah, he played really well and if it wasn't for the sending off you could see him scoring. In fact he had a few good chances and nearly did. He's on fire and I wouldn't be put off by two blanks.

Considered Lennon? I'm looking at him at 7m and thinking he could do well. I mean yeah he's never been the most explosive player but the AVB regime might see him getting more returns as he's nailed on at right wing and is performing fairly consistently. Have you got no Utd cover at the moment?

Yeah I can't really do the Aguero thing unless RVP goes and I'm not prepared to take that risk. Which is why I'm looking at the absurdly risky Dzeko punt. Or finding a way to fit in Tevez again through a few transfers.

I've been stuck with Marveaux from day dot... Not doing me any favours!!

I think Ba is probably the player I have my eye on most to bring in to the side. 2 FT this week, If only I could sneak a double which would work Ba in. May have to be for a -4, though

Repost from last page, I am looking at the following moves after European games:

    Foster, Begovic
    Baines, Rafael, Demel, Nelsen, Davies
    Hazard, Michu, Pienaar, Guthrie, Cazorla
    RVP, Ba, Fletcher

    1.3 ITB, 1FT

    1 – Hazard—>Bale(C)
    2 – Hazard + Michu —-> Bale(C) + Morrison (-4). Cash for Pienaar/Michu—>Mata after CHE v MUN
    3 – Hazard + Fletcher —> Bale (C) + Crouch/Kone/Long (-4). Again funds left for Mata
    4 – Hazard + Rafael —-> Bale (C) + 4.5 DEF. Again funds for Mata.

Got to say I like 3 for now.. Thoughts?

        Bale Cazorla/ Mata

        Optoin B:
        Bale, Mata, Cazorla/ Silva

Looks like the option B is better one nah ? I was convinced by cheaper mids Michu and Nolan till now but now the fixtures takes a U turn and I don't see other mids who will perform constantly as those 2

My point is, we can't judge his returns on his first breakthrough season at a time where Arsenal had injuries and struggled. I think he'll be a fine fantasy player, depending on price and where he's played. More of a Fabregas mkII than Ramsey is.

All Arsenal players were awful on Saturday, would be strange to blame Giroud for that performance. Nothing has changed regarding him.

Good point. Well, I can at least hope, and am too scared regardless to ship before next fixture. I just think it was silly to even give Giroud a chance during Forehead's form up top.

Yeah, it did pan out with Giroud's previous game but still don't understand it myself with all the praise that was going Forehead's way at the time. Still, might just be man management from Arsene Wenger as to not let Forehead get too big for his boots and give Chamakh2 a chance

Gervinho just isn't a striker...Giroud is an out and out striker. As is Podolski...they've got something wrong with their style right now...and they need to fix it fast. Gervinho can look really awful in games. I blame the international break for the poor Arsenal performance. Giroud has to start though...to not start their one out and out striker is ridiculous. They need to rectify their mistakes against Norwich. And goalscoring is the problem. I don't believe it's necessarily Giroud's fault. The team just hasn't performed 100% in games so far.

I agree with Mason's underlying point.. why change something that was working. Gervinho (striker or not) was scoring goals, then was shuffled out to the wing against West Ham. Seems an odd way of rewarding him.

Good goalscoring record last year and seems a real threat and the type of player who will keep Wigan up through his goals...much more exciting than Crouch at that price imo.

Seems to be good striking option, though I'm not sure I'd pay the extra 1m or so for him over Di Santo, who imo offers similar threat up front for Wigan.

What transfers would you prioritise for this team?

    Jaaskelainen (Foster)
    Baines Jenkinson Rafael (Demel, McAuley)
    Yaya Michu Cazorla Sterling (Pienaar)
    Lambert Berbatov RVP

    3.8m available.

I'd like to keep Pienaar and bring in Riise or Wilson (probably for Demel), but also thinking of Michu ➡ Bale or Lambert ➡ Defoe/Crouch
    Decisions, decisions!

Any Geordie around? Do you think Pardew will stick to a 442? Noticed that even with Cisse on the bench, Ameobi came in rather than shift to a 433.

Am thinking Ban ARCA at 7.8m (7.7m) selling price, isn't worth it. Have Ba in my team too.

Most of us can't believe that Pardiola is sticking with the traditional 442. 433 worked so well for us last season. But I think that if he played ba on the left, we would lose him for cheap in the winter, so pardiola is trying to keep him happy. If Marveaux had been as good as we hoped, then we may well have tried playing just one of the dembas (whoever is on form). But he has been a bit crap. I do expect us to move to a more narrow 442 diamond (ala Man Utd against us), but we have never had the full team fit to try this. If we did, then barfa would be a grat pick because he would have a role at the point of the diamond
