The Big Numbers – Gameweek 10

Another unplayable performance from Marouane Fellaini, ably supported by a string of outstanding Everton displays, lights up this weekend’s Big Numbers analysis, while the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Christian Benteke, Nicky Shorey, Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez crash the party. Here’s our choice of the key statistics on show in the Gameweek so far…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

to be honest i don't have sympathy as its obvious he goes down easily, but so does almost every player in the league, and some are just as bad, young and bale for example

But Young and Bale don't racially berate opponents (that we know of).

To be fair, as much as I dislike 'Pool, their history demands respect. But it seems to me that Suarez besmirches your esteemed club - as did Dalglish and the other staff who so poorly mismanaged the whole affair.

Other transfer would be Jevlavic to Tevez. To fund id need to do Lescott to 5.3 Def.

Looking at the Everton coverage you have I cant see the sense in having Pienaar and Jelavic before Baines and Fellaini.
Baines and Fellaini would cost less and will certainly outscore Pienaar and Jelavic

im not too fussed on this because after the next 3 i will be shipping jelavic out! im more than likely going to keep pienaar for the long haul as fellaini owners will always the worry of him playing deeper which will happen eventually!

Fellaini carries an amazing goal threat and Moyes is always going to utilise that to the max.

I had thought the same as you previously but from watching Everton this season its clear that he will always be the first one attacking the box from midfield, thats the way they're set up.
Fellaini is almost unmarkable and is the best receiver of the ball in the league. Will defo score more than Pienaar - who doesnt have much of a scoring record anyway.

Based on last couple of GWs this looks correct, but based on end of last season and first 5 or 6 games this year and Pienaar/Jelavic don't look such a dumb idea.

I might be saying this because I have them both as well and am wondering about dropping P for F this evening... the again I am also thinking about dropping Hatem Ben Arsehole for Fellaini because I think Pienaar is pretty dependable for 5/6 points most weeks - at least HE WAS when Moyes was playing him on the left....

I think your immediate problem seems to be BA who came off early again so looks like he might be getting a week or a few rest to sort out whatever it is....

Swapping P for F is probably not a terrible idea, but he will get a 4th yellow before too long.. but he will also go up a lot this week.

I'd keep HBA for his fixtures and swap Pienaar for Fellaini. Pienaar is a good player but never a goalscorer, HBA is that little bit more dangerous - unpredictable for sure but more dangerous definitely.
I think Jelavic has a big score coming his way soon but for the long haul I'd always go Baines/Fellaini over any other Everton Combo

17 from Gorkss and Boyce here with Foster to go. Sterling's 2 points to come off the bench.

Obviously, you know where you're doing and for 93 minutes it was a sound decision but I wouldn't have benched Santi for Sterling.

I still think Caz was right one to bench , He scored more points than Sterling , but really shouldnt have , Starling was much the better this week.

Gorkys , thats always a risk with a cheap bench warmer.
Its annoying it happened when many people were short on players though , as he comes on for the bad teams , while the well managed ones miss out

    Johnny Evans, anybody?

Not that the United defence has been good or anything, but with their fixtures I'd ideally like a third player. And even for non owners he's now at 5.8m, 0.3m cheaper than Rafael.

When Baines goes I'm tempted to double with Evans and Rafael but think I'll be getting Sagna in to go with Rafa. Attacking right backs FTW

How does my team look for next weekend?

    Begovic
    Baines (c) / Vertonghen / Cameron
    Bale / Cazorla / Mata / Routledge
Rooney / Tevez (vc) / Jelavic

    McCarthy / Sterling / Gorkss / Nelsen

Transfers already been made yesterday to spare the price rises as I now only have 0.1m left in the kitty.
Ive currently just slipped out of the top 1000 for the first time since GW 5 but hoping Lambert can give me a good leaving present tomorrow to get me back inside the top 1k.

Not having RVP would scare the shit out of me especially now that Rooney missed his penalty the other day.

I've not had RVP since GW4 and doing OK without him. I really think Rooney may start going on a good run soon, but we will have to see.

Sunderlands in ability to pose an attacking threat, Evertons solid backline (especially at home) added to the immense creative display from Baines makes me feel it's worth the risk.

    Foster, Begovic

    Baines, Davies, Demel, Cuellar, Gorkks

    Nolan, Michu, Bale, Valencia, Sterling

    Ba, RVP, Aguero

Thinking of taking Aguero and Nolan out for Suarez and Fellaini?
    -4 though.
