Better late than never, our ninety seventh episode of the ScoutCast delivers another 45 minutes of mirth, plus injury time.

With the Professor otherwise engaged, it’s left to Jonty to provide backup to myself and Granville, arriving to deliver another “Fully Jonty” – the first to feature a community victim.

Doosra’s Fantasy fortunes come under the microscope, revealing a penchant for bandwagons and knee jerk transfers. Nevertheless, we try to go easy on the experienced campaigner, rounding things off with the extraordinary tale of the Doosra rescuing Jonty’s dog. True story.

That treat rounds off an episode that includes all the usual regulars, including our rinse through the forthcoming double Gameweek which Granville insists on placing within inverted commas: the weirdo.

    Ok, got to make a decision.

    Rafael > Enrique?

    Yay or nay?

    Alternatively I could save my FT and have 2FT for GW27.

    If I get Enrique I'd have 4 DGWers with Suarez(c), Michu, Davies and Enrique.

    Your thoughts would greatly appreciated. I'm in two minds. Oh and before you say what about GJ...if I got GJ I'd be leaving myself tight for cash getting in the likes of Fellaini/Aguero (it might cost me a hit for instance)

      As long as your depth/strength in your squad is ok then do it .... to aid you 1FT next GW ....
      A double edged sword really ..... unless the like of Enrique who you bring in score at least double figures .

    Can't decide if it's worth the early transfer just for a price rise...

    GJ is obviously gonna play both games...

    The extra 0.1m is not essential, but always tempts me... 😕

              so getting a pool defender would mean a hit next week yes? but i guess a dgw + hit is much better than gibbs

              if they would be retained for the season, how much do you think GJ will outscore JE? if not much then get JE instead and save the money.

              so i think i'd suggest JE or Zaba

                I do expect GJ to score a couple of goals between now and the end of the season, but I know by expecting them that I'll likely be let down..

                For that reason JE, is the logical choice, cheaper and will also play and get CS...

                But I will kick myself if GJ scores well...

                And then there's Agger..

          In that case, JE...

          Assuming Utd keep a CS, you'd need JE to score 10pts...

          I think that is easily achievable... a couple of CS are highly likely, maybe a cheeky assist...

          A safe player might disagree and advise on Rafael, but JE has two favourable home games to play, and has two chances to grad a sneaky goal/assist./bps...

          You`ve got a solid playing 3-4-3 for the dgw and the 2FT will help shape your team better for the blank GW - unless you do you 4 point hit & those players you bring in score you BIG then of course it becomes a master transfer move on your behalf ...

            defense is not so solid this week... culler yellow flagged and playing ars, clyne yellow flaged and playing mci and demel probably won't play and this way it allows me to ship demel instead of having him rot away on my bench for several weeks

    Suarez has the little blue star and Sturridge has the little yellow flag of doom. Why do I still want to captain Studge? Anybody with both Suarez/Sturridge going with Sturridge as captain?

            That's true. Sturridge being cuptied and getting to rest in between league matches really tempts me. I still think Suarez will play more minutes, but even for a machine like Suarez, 4 matches in a week and a half plus a lot of travel has to take its toll.

    @Zep, a good reason to do the transfer now is that a lot will sell their Pool players for GW27 so a rise means you lose no value...or at least can be patient.

        Cant be bothered with GJ his extra attacking mainly a myth , there nothing between the two imo
        and Enrique is far cheaper , has the advantage that he may come off after around seventy minutes and is far less likely to have to play in the european game.
        He also didnt play 90 minutes in an international , and has no injury concerns

        The freeing up of cash is the key factor. I would be left with 0.0m which would be the same if I did Rafael > GJ. That's why I'm avoiding GJ. As I have that extra cash to play with in an emergency and it allows me to be patient. Thanks for the suggestion though.

      It was his insistence earlier in the season that Bale would be top midfielder that made me stick wit him. Even though hes not top im still glad I stuck with him
