The ScoutCast – Episode One Hundred and Eight – Rarebit

Ryan Giggs, Tom Jones, Terry Griffiths, the guy in the Apprentice with the eyebrows. These are the legends that Wales has brought us in recent years but, come the weekend, we might just find that Fantasy football unearths another. Tonight’s final episode of the campaign is a very special one as Jonty crashes the party with a special guest – a Welshman that most of us have been looking up to all season.

We chat to the FPL title challenger in the “Full Jonty” after we discuss the perils of the final day fixtures, check in on a much improved Professor, question the transfer trading in “All Aboard” and preview Sunday’s season farewell.

Thanks to all who have listened in on this nonsense this term – here’s to another campaign in a few months and step closer to catching Last of the Summer wine.

Ughhhhh.

Still torn between getting Walcott, Coutinho or Michu. I'll already have Sturridge so I suppose Theo and Michu would be better options.

I guess it'll just be a toss-up between the two.

    Yeah, can't argue with that but the way I see it is that goals could come from anywhere in Arsenal's team, with Swansea they usually just come from Michu.

  There's no easy answer to that one but, if it helps, 'Rate My Team' likes Courtinho, Michu, Walcott in that order (although there's not a lot between any of them). Good luck.

    I think with your team when it's close, best to wait and see what he does if you can. It's hard with Tevez as he could have had three in the last game.
    
    As you say, I can't wait to get rid of this season FPL wise. With my other teams another 3 or 4 games would have been most welcome. Oh well.

      Likewise, tad disappointed with the end but i got careless and only have myself to blame (I sold Coutinho, Michu and Sturridge before they exploded, got in Morisson for a hit and never played him).

        don't go for too many differentials! all you need is one or two to pay off most likely. that or a captain differential. enough to cover their main players but still have a good differential or two. you don't want too many differentials for them that could punish you

    I'm optimistic but not 100% confident. You'd think that wenger wouldn't want to change a forward line that scored 4 in their game and a striker that scored twice in a must win game but giroud has been first choice for lone striker role all season. I'd stick with tevez if I was you but could be a good gamble if you're chasing I guess.
    
    Have you got coutinho or sturridge? That's my blindspot at the moment, considering a hit to get one of them in...

      I have Studge and Walcott, the other transfer option for me would be Fellaini-Coutinho - and I am chasing. Logic says stick with tevez, and that coutinho has assured gametime . . . but that's a bit boring at this point in the year!
      Surely you will want one of the two Studge/Cout, huh? I'm in no position to advise you, but would it at least cancel out those around you who have them?

      Yeah, worth holding on to now in my opinion too.
      
      Kun will probably play but I think Tevez will get his minutes. Norwich are safe and no real threat to City and I imagine they will want to put on a decent show for their fans especially after the FA Cup debacle.

  Quick question. Why does Rosales only play limited mins? His points per mins ratio is amazing, just that he plays 65ish mins or less?

    maybe it has to do with his fitness? because i know he's been injured several times in the last couple years....
    
    but i think the main thing is usually he's taken off to allow martinez to come in and change the game as he's a good creative player and a good impact sub (though I reckon he could do well starting too). those are my best guesses though i'm not 100% sure why. still seems a bit odd to me regardless that you'd take your captain off early so often. but yeah he usually seems to be the player sacrificed to allow martinez or another impact sub to come in

        yeah, that's not gunna happen. on fk's and corners though which is obviously a plus. and can be explosive (though he isn't always consistent fantasy-wise).
        
        i'd monitor neagle and martins as both could be good options. with neagle the concern is game time cuz i'm not sure if he's nailed on. but if either of EJ or Martins are injured or away on national duty then he should get the start up top (oop). and martins i'd just wait for him to hit form
        
        why not yedlin?
