Sturridge is now back from injury, and your third midfielders have little to separate them. In which case I would pick Silva over Negredo, as he is less likely to get rotated.

B quite comfortably imo.

I don't see the appeal of Negredo. I think he's overrated playing in a rotation circus at City and is no way worth 9.5m. If you want a 9.5m striker, get Soldado.

Not worried about Swansea's horrendous fixtures? If not I'd consider Bony over Dzeko and Silva for Michu.

Cole for me, tho Ivano is starting to tempt me.

I'm on Cole atm, but keep changing between him and Luiz, something tells me David will score big like Ivan did last year.

Cole the safest bet. And I think getting one of the others for attacking potential is silly. Cole goes forward, too.

After some thinking, i've gone with Cole but not expecting attacking returns. Ivanovic only played both games last season as Azpilicueta wasn't there so he was always safe. Think he may be rotated for the 2nd game. Luiz is a worry due to hardly any pre season minutes, and a tight hammy currently, not to mention the Brazil trip. He'll be fine for starts after the double though.

Cole's the safest bet but I'm confident that Ivanovic will start both games; so I think it's worth the risk for the big upside in potential attacking points.

Reply fail from earlier: Not a bad idea at all, especially for the DGW. I'd say it's a very good example of a three gameweek strategy, and you can always ship him out after then.

Cech is nailed on and it removes any doubts you may have over a defender playing both games but I still prefer Ivanovic or Luiz. I think both will play twice and I don't like having a GK that needs transferred out which is likely the case with Cech.

people are championing cole, ivanovic and luiz for the same price. it's no difference whatever people claim. it's 1 transfer to get rid of either of the 4 post dgw

Cech is a bad option for the DGW.

He has a low/no chance of a blow out score - so you're paying 6.5m for max 14 points, possibly as low as 6 and probably around 8. Meanwhile Ivanovic and Cole have assists and goals in their locker plus the same CS potential.

Outfield players can score massive points in the DGW - GKs not so much

Hardly played in pre season. Think that's mainly down to the confeds. He was sent back to Manchester to work on his fitness, and is now in the squad for the Scandinavian leg of the tour. If Rooney goes he'll become a fantastic option, as opposed to being just a good punt right now. Should be 1st choice behind RvP, and can also play on the flank. Should get more games than last season but wont be completely nailed on.

not crazy, but their defence is more reliable then their attack. Stick with one striker and get Kompany.

I have Mig, Hazard, Miralas and Lukaku. Enough at the moment!

I don't like the idea of spending too much money in defence, even if the opposition give the hint of being toothless. Benteke could still score against Chelsea. Better to invest the money elsewhere in attack.

Pretty much just as much uncertainty regarding their defence as well. Curse this DGW; really didn't want it to happen.

I would hope expect they are not looking for him as a replacement Center Forward, considering he is primarily a winger with a decent goal threat, and consequently quite versatile.

I think planning with keepers is playing with fire, spend less money there and upgrade Mert to a Chels DF.

Get a chelsea defender who is likely to assist or score goals instead of Cech.
I would start with Mig then.
Gerrard is really a punt, I would go either Coutinho or Studge.
I am not sure about Jrod either, Lambert is the main man up top for Southampton

I'm working on something similar right now, but I'm going with JT/Migs over Cech/Coleman b/c of JTs goal threat. I don't want to plan on using a transfer on GK. Currently, I'm pairing Migs with Marshall.

Also, Clyne is not fully fit, but Shaw is a like for like.
