FFS UEFA Beach Soccer Tournament 2013

Gameweek 8 sees the launch of the latest team competition for the Fantasy Football Scout community organised by FFS UEFA. Following the success of last season’s ICC-themed cricket tournament, the group have created FFS Beach Soccer World Cup 2013, with 16 teams, each comprised of 11 players, competing for the crown.

If you’re new to the concept and are wondering just what all the chatter has been about, here’s a link to their site which will help explain matters in a little more detail.

Essentially, the scoring is based around the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Each team started scouting for players (ie, FPL managers) on Sunday, October 6 and the recruitment period will come to a close on Wednesday, October 16, with the roster of team players announced on Thursday, October 17.

The teams are led by a captain and vice-captain and guided by a manager, who decide which seven of their 11 players to field each week – depending on the perceived prospects of their FPL line-ups -and which four to bench. Their overall FPL scores for the Gameweek, with hits taken into account, will form the team’s score that week – by outscoring their opponents, they chalk up a win.

The first match in Gameweek 8 will be no more than a friendly before the main event gets underway the following weekend. This sees the 16 teams compete in four groups of four between Gameweek 9 and 11 – the top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stages, where sides square up in a head-to-head elimination process from Gameweek 12 until the final in Gameweek 15.     Everyone suddenly seems to have changed their mind over who to start, Morrison or Januzaj

    Obviously Morrison has the easier fixture, but for some reason (that I don't know) may not start

    Januzaj may not even get anything against a strong opponent.

    SPANISH PRESSER.........

    Please forgive me for the wild celebrations during the last few days, I am bow fully focused on the task in hand and have kicked out the string of beach babes that Tahiti sent over to pollute my mind, and having spent 96hrs indulging in the the bribery on offer, my focus has now now changed from shafting each beach beauty to shafting the Tahiti BSWC team.

    It was a little naughty to indulge myself in such seedy and sorded dealings, however I can assure you that i was punished, repeatedly spanked and bitten until i begged to stop and made out i was too sore to carry on any longer having completely run out of all lube at the party.

    However, whilst Tahiti believe that crossing my path with such pleasures and exhausting my physical conditioning, whilst also shipping Ginkapo a crate of banana's, they believed we would roll over and allow them the victory!!

    THIS IS NOT THE CASE!!

    Ginkapo and I discussed spurning their cheap attempts to corrupt the tournament, however felt that the offers came with no contractual obligations and we merely accepted what we perceived as gifts, so whilst Ginks nibbled away at 5000 banana's, and I had my banana nibbled 5000 times, the Tahiti stewardship & methods have angered many teams & we Spanish MUST make them accountable for the pain and suffering they put many a FFS member through during selection!!

    Therefore, the Spanish Team selection will again be focused on what the management team believe is the strongest team possible to inflict as much misery as possible on to Thomas's Tahitits and ensure our passage through to the KO stages.

    To that affect due to selecting Benteke as Captain last GW "MyNameDontMata" we have decided to take the appropriate strong management action and imposed a one match ban for such an inept performance!! The punishment is suspended for 5 games, which means his suspension is suspended as long as he does not do that again 😉

    With Ginkapo still AWOL (suspected abduction by Thomass, who is stuffing every hole with unripe banana's) the team selection is as follows:

        We played 6 Suaz (C). Only Chu had Studge (C) I think, along with a reasonable team.

    It is disappointing to announce that the Team Spain starting XII has been tampered with and the FBI are currently investigating UEFA as to how the XII selected has not taken the field.

    The "mata" is under full investigation and there is a list of suspects, however Thomass67 has a APB for his arrest as his whereabouts are not known and his statement "it wasn't me, i had no internet connection" simply did not hold as he wrote the statement on-line!

    FBI agent Fox Mulder and Dana Scully have insisted the case will be blown wide open like the Fulham defence and the truth is out there.

    Tahiti Management refused to comment after a few squad members had be witnessed celebrating and several comments included

    ENR - "YESSSSSSS - Tahiti has avoided bombs. Pretty confident we'll win."
    Hanamichi - "Did we beat Spain surely?"

    Super Oscar Baby had this to say after being informed - "sack thomass"

    Mulder of the FBI had this to say "I have seen a lot of strange unexplained things during my time with the FBI, and this is up there with alien abduction"

    The Spanish management was fairly pragmatic as seemed more downbeat that the decision to spread their striker options has not as yet provided the points expected, and shrugged off the investigation, insisting:
