Not often acclaimed for his sage-like wisdom, Granville is enjoying his season in the sun and is firing advice, sympathy and jibes my way, in equal measure. With little to lose, I’ve even resorted to taking his guidance on board. After spending points on transfers on the Mancunian’s recommendation, I’m looking on my squad with optimistic eyes, although Granville is far from convinced that I made the “greatest hits”.

After raining on my revival parade, Granville joins me to talk Suarez, Oscar vs Hazard and Jim Bowen before we roll out the podcast regulars – “All Aboard”, the weekend preview and the usual dalliance with the ScoutCast team.

        Didn't jump on Ramsey or Suarez bandwagons...

        Had Ben Davies injured, Brady injured, Silva injured twice, Chester injured, Foster injured, Cazorla injured, Walcott injured.

        Had RVP, Mirallas, Rat, Snodgrass at the start ....

        Everytings gone bad. So reluctant to do a hit when Suarez may not outscore Studge this week..but I keep saying this.

        Tell me what to do, i'll damn well do it!

          It has to be done mate. I don't see a downside to it. Suarez will massively outscore Sturridge in the long run. Sturridge isn't fully fit and is even a doubt for the weekend. And he's going down in price.

                  I was aware of football (as in I knew a few scores, and teams) last year. Used to be against it due to the apelike nature of many football fans

                  But this year i'm in a paid league, so i've taken it seriously. Now im rank 8.8k and know as much as anyone about the current seasons, teams and players

            I thought long about this Beric and the reason I'm doing it is that they scored 2 against Liverpool and Chelsea Remy was scoring well from the wing and he is now playing centrally. I have Suarez and Aguero but they both have tougher fixtures. It is a wee bit risky but nothing ventured nothing gained.

                I dodged a bullet last game week coz it was a toss up between Aguero and Suarez. Thankfully chose Luis but was tempted by Aguero at Sunderland. It could go Pete Tong as well but that's part of the excitement.

        Yep, enjoying it thanks. I think, given the fixtures, this week is ideal for a punt. With Norwich at home, you would presume Newcastle would score at least two. I reckon if that's the case Remy will be involved.

        Definitely give yourself a differential over most people on here.

        I had him to start the season and it didn't work out, but he could be rounding into form.

        The question remains, what could you do with extra funds and taking Rooney for example? Or Aguero?

        Ahhh... a Baines owner. Very heavy defence so losing Cole for a cheaper option is fine imo. Lovren is also a candidate to make way with Sot's poor fixtures, but anyway...

        Seeing your team I'd say it's not a bad option. I don't see the value of RVP over Rooney myself but if you do then that is all that matters. So do it. Wouldn't get a Palace defender though, they are just shite and you would never be confident of them keeping a CS.
        What about Burner form Cardiff (great Xmas fixtures)?

      Walcott definitely a favourite on here... Expect most to have him in the next couple of weeks.

      Ward seems one or the worse cheap defenders, but I guess you won't want to waste a transfer on him. Could always upgrade him after you downgrade Zab and have a rotating back line.

            I have noticed the majority of the non-member RMT's have Remy as Captain.

            I hold my faith in the RMT tool however. Paid off nicely the past three weeks.

              Same mate. Have just read a few of your posts , sounds like you are having a completely torrid time this season like myself! So frustrating. I'm in a mini league with my new work colleagues that I set up when I started, kinda over sold myself and people commented on previous good seasons ranks... I'm 6th out of 9 and being beaten by the work experience lad we had in who was 15 and a woman who doesn't even like football and hasn't made a transfer all season... Hellish!!

              Is Sturridge -> Suarez worth -4 this week?

              It's probably been asked a lot tonight, but I'm thinking I'll swallow the £0.1m drop since Suarez might be tired and has less chance of outscoring Sturridge and do it next week? No point doing the -4 this week if Suarez doesn't outscore Sturridge right...? Do you think Suarez playing yesterday will be a factor at all?

                Just done it. Suarez is the kinda guy who could play every day and not get tired. He may not score well this week but will definitely repay himself over next couple of weeks

                He's probably out for the weekend. With it being a hamstring injury who knows how long he will be out for. I read somewhere that it wasn't as bad as first feared.

                  would you say he's worth it in the long-run, when healthy is he as nailed on as I think? this is for the dead team I'm putting together that locks Saturday and I need someone in the 4.5 or less category..West Ham is capable of keeping cleansheets and I like that he gets forward..looking for a Wilson replacement
