Scouting For Writers

To help with the continued growth of the editorial coverage on Fantasy Football Scout we are looking to expand our team of contributors, which has already seen site regulars In Tommy We Trust, Roscola and Demi join up this season so far.

We are looking for someone to join Paul’s team, who is enthusiastic about Fantasy Football, has a flair for writing and is able to commit their time regularly each week.

Ideally we are looking for someone who…

  • Has a knowledge and passion not just for Premier League football but for Fantasy Football.
  • Is willing to volunteer and contribute their passion and their time to become an invaluable member of a growing editorial team.
  • Has good, strong writing skills with the ability to produce tight, entertaining editorial – in line with the house style, but with a twist of personality.
  • Is available to contribute opinions throughout the week and at weekends, helping to shape decisions and editorial direction within the Scout team.
  • Is available to contribute articles on a weekly basis and be prepared to take charge of an established section of the site, making it their own and working in collaboration with the team to grow it further.

If you’re interested, please send a short summary of yourself, your typical weekly availability, along with a sample of your writing to writers@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk by December 20.

This process is typically lengthy so please be patient with us, we will try to get back to applicants as soon as possible and we will keep you up to date with the process via the site as we go.

Tough task predicting the Chelsea Midfield this week. Any suspicions? Oscar being subbed early bodes well for him. Schurrle played a blinder last week, and Mata rested tonight. A rest for Hazard against Palace, perhaps?? Thoughts?

Keep walcott.. only way I see arsenal scoring v city is on the counter and walcott is perfect for that. + ive had him for 3 games.. amd his given me 2 assists in the 60 minutes his played.. id prefer him to mirallas who may be on tge bench and I prefer walcott to oscar

Thats very short term thinking by you.. I dont fancy their chamces v city but the chelsea game could easily be high scoring. If stoke can put 3 past them then I doubt arsenal wont b able to put atleast 1 or 2... keep walcott.

So Everton and their defence. I've been slow to come around on them and, unfortunately have not seen many matches. Are they playing resilient in the back or is it the possession-style of Martinez? Have they abandoned the wingback formations, 3-5-2?

If anyone cares to share their thoughts, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks all. So everyone's keen on Morrison.
Split decision on Lallana vs Redmond, so that'll be a toss up I suppose.

Estimated % chance of Hazard starting this weekend? Was set to bring him in for Gerrard in a two-part move (for a hit), but might do a straight swap for Oscar/Silva now instead...

      I would say 80%.

Regardless, I would still bring in Hazard

      1. He could score off the bench
      2. I never do transfers with one game week in mind.

could then be rested v swansea? It's tough to bring him in with so many risks

Hazard won't be the only midfielder rotated over Christmas.

He doesn't need rest, played loads of games last year with no problems. However, I'd rather have Silva or Oscar for no hit.

Cheers for the input fellas. Would rather have Hazard than the other two. Without the -4 I wouldn't mind the risk of a no-show / cameo...

Gerrard going down tonite. drop for FT gerrard for:

    1--silva
    2--oscar
    3--yaya
4--Redmond (and free up funds for further ugrades)

or is it more priority to do ft Remy > Rooney or Lukaku

    Migs - Boruc
    Terry - Williams - Ward - Clyne - Baker
    Haz - Ramsey - Gerrard - Ravel - Colbak
    Suarez - Kun - Remy

-4 hit isn't too bad, or just get Rooney next week.

How is this team looking lads:
    Howard
    Zaba Chico Rat
    Sess. Hazard Ramsey RavMo
    Suarez Rooney Aguero
    Bench: Delph Chester Ward

Undecided on captain choice, its between Rooney, Hazard and Aguero atm, Aguero maybe edging it.
    How does Chico-->M. Olsson sound?

    Cheers 🙂
