Paddy Power Special – 10/1 Whacky Acca on United, Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham to Win

Ahead of tomorrow’s Boxing Day deadline, Paddy Power have laid on another enhanced market for the upcoming round of matches. This time around, our bookmaker friends are tempting us with Whacky Acca odds of 10/1 for United, Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham to win against Hull, Swansea, Sunderland and West Brom respectively.

When you consider that the regular odds on the accumulator for all four to win are just 4/1, this looks a standout deal for those yet to sign up with Paddy. If you don’t have an account and fancy a piece of the action, click here to join up and take advantage of the offer.

If you’ve already got an account with Paddy, you can still benefit from the Money Back Special on the Etihad encounter between City and Liverpool tomorrow evening. Paddy are offering refunds on all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score and Scorecast bets should the game end in a draw.

To clarify, the Whacky Acca enhanced odds specials are limited to a £10 stake, are open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Would you bench Whit, Fletch or Lampard? (thinking that the latter may be benched?)

Ozil for captain anyone, he's due a points haul and we are all only speculating on him being rested. Could be the best differential for the armband this week as I think people will change between Suarez lukaku Rooney etc half a dozen times before 1130 and it will end up fairly even %wise re who captains who. Worth a thought if you are chasing heavily...

Two teams and a similar dilemma. Have ozil ramsey and then either fer or whittingham. Need two out of three for each. Worth dropping either arsenal player or just let an auto sub come in if either are benched? Ozil is actuallya decent differential in my MLs.

IMO Suarez will get between 9 - 11 points at the most against the City defence
    and City will win 4-2

    1 goal + 4
    1 assist +3
    bp + 2
    90mins + 2
    1 booking -1

I will have Suarez in my team, but will not be captaining him.

The only real comparisons to make for Manchester City (a) where Suarez has played so far this season is Arsenal (a) and Everton (a). The Spurs game, for me, was an anomaly.

      Arsenal (a) = 2
      Everton (a) = 9

I would expect Liverpool to score and for Suarez involvement, with a score between 5-10. Manchester City under Pellegrini are totally different to that of Manchester City under Italian Management. However, Hart has a point to prove and if anyone can stop or atleast slow Suarez, Kompany isn't a bad bet.

Suarez (c) is therefore the safe bet for me but if you're looking for explosions, look to Walcott or Hazard. Sunderland minus O'Shea and Brown also mean chances aplenty for Everton, it might just be time for a Lukaku brace once more.

'the top players in the world don't become bad players when playing against good opposition'

But, if strikers, they see less of the ball and get fewer chances when the opposite team has a far superior midfield.

Question 2.....who plays for a team which is free-scoring, esp at home ?

Question 3....a player who is top of MIDs for "points per game" ?

Question 4....a player who is top-class, and who is always amongst the goals and assists ?

Question 5....in a GW of much doubt over who to captain, why are so FEW not picking him ?

It really depends on which Liverpool turn up. If its the one against Arsenal and Hull then I can see him grabbing some nice attacking returns. If its the one against Tottenham then he could struggle. Either way I expect man city to put at least put 2 past us and he could easily be involved.

I agree, that is the crux of the issue. Liverpool are on great form, but can be pretty average away sometimes (not unlike City themsleves eg Cardiff, Sunderland....)

I suppose I am influenced by the fact I need to make some points up in my league, so I am going to take a risk, in a GW where Saurez and Rooney are not obvious captain candidates. I may well be wrong...but you have to gamble sometimes in this game if you want to win ! 🙂

      Hull 0-2 Man Utd (12:45)
      -------------------------
      Villa 1-0 C Palace (15:00)
      Cardiff 1-2 Southampton

      Everton 2-0 Sunderland
      Newcastle 1-1 Stoke
      Norwich 1-0 Fulham
      Tottenham 2-0 West Brom
      West Ham 0-3 Arsenal
      -------------------------------
      Man City 3-1 Liverpool (17:30)

Can't see any shocks going down. Possibly Fulham over Norwich or Sunderland over Everton look like the most likely upsets but I can't see either team beating their respective opponents.

Morning guys, hope you all had a nice Christmas. Any ideas for my next transfer? Totally stuck!

    Jaaskelainen
    Coleman, Lovren, Turner
    Hazard (vc), Ozil, Barkley, Januzaj
    Lukaku (c), Suarez, Rooney

    Speroni, Whittingham, Gabbidon, A. Williams

Would appreciate any feedback at all - I've got £0.9 in the bank and only really got profit from Hazard, Lukaku, Suarez and Rooney to skim so everyone else is no problem to shift. Cheers!

The last time I chose to ignore Theo over the Xmas period he went berserk against Newcatle.

Dare I ignore him again and keep Ozil.

It keeps gnawing away at me...

could argue Theo was more important to Arsenal last season than he is now though, ie will be benched at some point, really not sure the swap is worth it, if had neither would pick Walcott over Ozil though

I know, what you think today TW?

            Keep Ozil?

And get Silva for Nasri instead.

I'd keep Ozil - if he's rested he'll play the next two, and today's game might be kept tight by Big Sam anyway.

Silva looks good. 4yc, but you know he's less than 50% likely to get a yellow today, I'd think.

arghh tough one. possibility of Ozil being rested makes it tough though it's hard to tell if it'll actually happen or not. and I fancy theo as a better FPL prospect regardless

rate silva over nasri as well....

could't you do ozil + nasri > theo + silva for a hit? seems very sideways but could work out nicely

fwiw I got wally for a hit and that week he destroyed you, and i've gotten wally for a hit again this week 😉

Captain who out of Suarez, Rooney, Lukaku and Hazard ?
Twice I selected Lukaku over Suarez and got burnt with Lukaku giving me a single assist at best (including that bombardment against Tottenham).
Hull are tough at home so Rooney is least likely imo.

Lukaku I agree can easily get burnt as Everton spread goals

      Hazard rotation and rest risk

      Rooney for reasons you state!

Which is why I am going Suarez!

Sold him last night for Adebayor.

Choice between him and Walcott for captain. Not putting armband on Suarez this GW as Liverpool might not get much at the Etihad.

Think I'm going to go with Theo.
