MATCHDAY 2 RESULTS
The final Matchday 2 results have been updated in the Cup spreadsheet and we can reveal that after a hard-fought first round, New Zealand and South Africa top Groups A and B respectively. Among the most eye catching ties was the high-scoring game between Australia and Bangladesh, which ended 587-579 in Australia’s favour, courtesy of Yannick Bolasie’s hat-trick, as the Palace man was subbed onto Wakey’s team in the absence of Loic Remy.
Congratulations to all the victorious teams and a reminder to those that lost that the majority of the group matches are still to be played.

This was an absolute nightmare to calculate thanks to SAF autosubs 🙄
SAF: 44pts + Hart, Vertonghen, Cresswell, Rose, Eriksen, Downing, Yaya and Kane
Pakistan: Krul x5, Silva x2, Aguero, Ameobi
We need a Newcastle cleansheet and an Ameobi masterclass! 🙁
