Up against a very poor Newcastle team. If it doesn't happen then it will never happen.

It's pretty stunning how poor of an FPL pick he's been since their double. Completely horrible.

    Bottomed.

Current WC draft for GW34. How to fix it?
I'm not entirely convinced on Sturridge as don't think he will be play big minutes across the two games.

    Davis
    Terry - Skrtel - Schlupp - Alde - Duff
    Silva - Hazard - Henderson - Cesc - Albrighton
    Sturridge - Aguero - Vardy

    Which option do you prefer?

    A) Davis + Schlupp
    B) Schmeichel + Alderweirald

If I do A my GK pairing would be Ospina/Davis which could result in a benching headache. I have no outfield Arsenal/Southampton defenders with A.

Not long back from the game, enough time to watch MOTD and start my wildcard.

If anyone might be interested here's my take on the game...

First of all, United played well and Rooney is the best non-Chelsea player I have seen at the Bridge this season. Even playing deeper he stands out. Chelsea got lucky that he had to be deployed in midfield.

Second, no Remy or Costa hurt Chelsea big time. Drogba has lost more than a yard of pace and therefore there was no possible ball over the top and no threat in behind. Because of that United were able to play an extremely high defensive line. You won't have seen it on TV because the cameras mostly follow the ball but the United defensive line was often near the halfway line. That enabled them to press high too.

Despite that, Chelsea weren't unduly stressed, the defensive setup was solid and mainly United were shooting from range. Falcao's shot that hit the post was the only heart in mouth moment. And in Hazard, Chelsea have the best player in the PL, the quality of his performance today was only outshone by Terry who was immense.

Zouma in midfield will be seen as negative but if you saw the number of long diagonal balls United were hitting for Fellaini you would understand why he was needed there. Fellaini is huge, he towers above other players (although his big hair exaggerates the effect) and it needed Zouma to nullify him. Chelsea did exactly what I expected when missing Costa - defend solidly and hit them on the counter. It was very similar to the 1-1 against City except United looked a better team than City are.

Despite the accusations of negativity, the fact remains that Chelsea are the joint highest scorers in the PL along with City. And if you take all games into account they are quite a way ahead. They are just a team you can't roll over easily and that is part of the game (and a part of the game I personally enjoy watching). Today was the best live game I have seen this season. But I like tight 1-0 games, I'm sure many neutrals would have preferred a 4-4.

One last word - kudos to the United fans, they were the loudest by far we have had at the Bridge this season (apart from maybe Schalke in the CL). They made the City fans look as if they were on a Sunday School outing by comparison.

Yep fair enough you guys deserved it. I've got nothing against the defensive tactics, its the pragmatic and sensible thing to do for Chelsea under the circumstances.

Nice recap , thanks for it , good read. Your point about Zouma is bang on. City were unable to cope with Fellaini and young up the left flank and obviously Mourinho saw that and used Zouma to assist Matic in containing them. I would also add kudos to the Chelsea fans for their standing O for Mata as he prepared to take the corner kick in front of them. Class act.
You are very fortunate to be able to see Chelsea at the Bridge. My brother-in-law and hope to be able to travel to London from Vancouver sometime soon to see a match at Stamford Bridge. Will be one of the highlights of my life!!
        Cheers!!

Heaton you beaut. Saved my day.

My gamble on doubling up on Sints defenders didn't work but he made up for it.

36 points, 4 to play, moved up to 99th and I took a -4pt hit to get a Pool player in.

How was Debuchys return yesterday? Think Bellerin will lose his spot now he's back?

Unsure on who to drop for Skrtel Bertrand or Bellers?

Bellerin could be handy if he starts v Hull and Swans over Bertrands away fixtures

Bertrand >> Skrtel would also allow me to do Bolasie >> Ramsey GW35

      I think this team is locked in for me barring injuries. Then after DGW;
      - Ivan to Alde/Yoshida
      - Sterling to Ozil/Ramsey
      - Depending on the formation I want to play maybe Bentaleb to Bolasie/Siggy, or Vardy back to Kane.

      Ospina - Schmeichel
      Terry - Skrtel - Ivan - PvA - Duff
      Silva - Hazard - Henderson - Sterling - Bentaleb
      Aguero - Giroud - Vardy

With Debuchy back, I don't know. Gibbs always lurking though Monreal has been outstanding to date.

Morano an option too, cheaper than Skrtel and looks well in favour

Moreno or Skirtel ? (Moreno more attacking, Skirtel BAP magnet)

Is Lovren now an option with Sakho out?

Ick. I mean I guess, but how long is Sakho out for? You probably won't want to spend another transfer this season on that defensive spot.

I don't know. I'd rather get Moreno if you can't plump for Skrtel.

Believe he is over Johnson and Kolo, so yes. But I'm going Skrtel.

Not really. Toure could be preferred. Can could play alongside Skrtel in a 4. It's a bit iffy.

433 could be troublesome,I'd avoid IMO Ryan
Can and Skrtel would be the first choice paring there

I'm a non-owner, but it's complete stupidity by Martinez that he isn't on pens. He's missed one penalty out of 17 ffs

Barkley cost me a Lennon assist today. 🙁

I also had Baines for the Mirallas fiasco. Everton pens and me don't get on.

I have to assume Baines doesn't want to take them. What other explanation is there?

              Ah wow, that's annoying.

It is extremely bizarre, isn't it. One miss out of 17 BPL penalties. Crazy.

Morning lads. So I'm bringing in Mignolet this week. Question is, who to get rid of? Was initially on Krul but now thinking Panti, as Krul has better fixtures and rotates better.

Yes, Panti has a DGW in 37 but to be honest I'd probably be unlikely to play him, Mig has CRY and I already have PvA. Thoughts?

Krul : (SWA, lei, WBA, qpr, WHM)

      Panti (SOU, eve, LEI/ars, che)

Panti still racks up the save points though and they will be in a dog fight to avoid relegation. I'd keep Pants.

Think pants needs to be shipped especially since you have PVA. Wouldn't double Sunderland D for DGW
