Injuries

The Treatment Table – Gameweek 35

The injuries were kept to a relative minimum over the weekend’s action as we cast an eye over the latest batch of recruits to climb onto this Sunday’s Treatment Table.

Chelsea
Ramires was initially named in the Chelsea starting line-up to face Palace this afternoon but withdrew prior to kick-off due to illness. Jose Mourinho revealed post-match:

“Ramires went to the hospital. He was feeling so bad that we decided to take him out of the dressing room and take him to hospital. I’m going to visit him now. Maybe he’s not there anymore, but he was feeling really bad, really ill.”

Manchester City
Jesus Navas missed this afternoon’s trip to Tottenham with a tight hamstring, according to the local press. City’s problems on the flanks mounted after Samir Nasri lasted just three minutes as a substitute before suffering a recurrence of a groin problem.

Newcastle
Paul Dummett is an early doubt for the Magpies’ clash with West Brom after sustaining a hamstring problem during Saturday’s loss at Leicester.

QPR
Steven Caulker was subbed off at the break in the R’s loss at Liverpool due to a suspected broken hand.

Southampton
Sadio Mane was forced off during the Saints’ loss at Sunderland after failing to recover from a challenge from Lee Cattermole.

Swansea
Nelson Oliveira was replaced in the first-half of the Swans’ win over Stoke due to an ankle injury. Garry Monk conceded the forward – who has been playing with the problem for a fortnight – is set to be assessed:

“He’s had it for a couple of weeks that ankle injury. Under the challenge, it was a heavy challenge on him, he rolled his ankle and it was enough to come off. There was swelling, so it’s one of them that we’ll have to assess in 48 hours’ time. Hopefully the swelling goes down and he’s available for next week, but won’t really know until probably Tuesday.”

Sunderland
The Black Cats’ skipper John O’Shea was forced off with a rib injury and concussion in the 2-1 win over Southampton.

West Brom
James Morrison missed the Baggies’ win over United due to injury, according to post-match reports.

Isco, Rodriguez and Kroos will get bossed by Juventus' midfield. Should be a closer match than expected.

I would love Juve to win, but then I have money on Madrid to win the CL so a Ronaldo masterclass would be ok too.

Chelsea werent the only team to become league champions today. Congratulations to waterford on becoming national hurling league champions today. Great result and hopefully more success to come.

Great young squad with all the boys who won the Minor All Ireland coming through. Went to school with a lot of the lads. Great to see them doing well, even if I'm not a Waterford man.

Yeah anyone who knows them seems to say they are a great bunch of lads which helps achieve the hard work ethic in the team at the moment. Have come a long way since losing to wexford last summer.

At least he still goes down as a great hurler, and is recognised well outside of Waterford for that.

Yeah he was excellent as well and part of a group of great hurlers. Its a shame that group never won an all ireland but hopefully this new group can finally end the drought.

True enough. Was at the All Ireland Kilkenny thrashed them in. Was heartbreaking for those lads. Really deserved better than that.

              Here's hoping anyway 🙂

That was bitterly disappointing. Depressing day for waterford. Hopefully that can be righted with this new team. Have a decent chance of winning the all ireland in the next five years.

    Evening all.

Do I change Krul or is it a waste of an FT? No cash at all and most likely:

    Krul
    Ivanovic Morgan Dawson
    Sanchez Silva Hazard Sterling
    Aguero(c) Kane Giroud
    Foster Cork van Aanholt Duff

I'd probably figure out the third Arsenal coverage for the Swansea and DGW first. WBA also doesn't have the greatest offense.

True, hope for a nil nil.

Sterling only stretches to Cazorla so think I'll have to save to squeeze Rambo in without a hit. Sound reasonable?

    A & B both involve a 4 pt hit.

    A) I get Ozil & Ramsay for gw36 with 1ft for gw37

B)Ramsay in gw36 & then Sanchez for the dgw.
(+Henderson > Delph to make up funds)

There is appeal in getting the 3 Arsenal (Giroud aswell) for 36, I guess the question is Sanchez worth the wait while I sort the funds or just go Ozil in 36?

    Any words of wisdom.

I think B. Can see Ozil doing absolutely nothing in the game at Man Utd and Sanchez is going to be captained by so many that not owning him at all is putting your week at risk imo.

Would Delph have to start GW37?

"2pts passes to 2pts, up the line to 6pts currently on 3 baps." And...

"With that late goal, 5pts to your rival has knocked you down 4pts". And...

"Another woeful cross from why do you still have him in your team?" And...

Aiming for top 50 in Belgium, 42 points behind and only 3 gw left,

Played my wc way too soon and some recent setbacks made me drop like 50k overall (Naughton, Forster, Schlupp, Moreno, Remy....)

    A) Sanchez Ramsey Coutinho

I'm not. I just wouldn't be dropping Silva before QPR (h).

Silva + Ozil looks better than Coutinho + Sanchez which is what it amounts to.

    Panti
    Fonte - Terry - C.Dawson
    Sanchez - Sterling - Hendo - Haz
    Kun(c) - Kane - Giroud

    Bench: K.Davis - Boyd - PvA - Skrtel
    1.6 in bank, 1 FT

I have 2 pressing needs. My defence is in bad shape for the week, will need to replace Fonte with Koscielny who has a decent fixture.

I also need to get rid of Sterling due to his fixture and form. Preferably for Silva v QPR. Worth to do both moves for -4? Or just choose one?

Probability of Bellerin playing both games in the double? Low I would have thought with Chambers and now Debuchy lurking. 🙁

Really don't know what to do for 36 and 37. This is my current lot. Any thoughts??

    Davis, Hamer
    Terry, Bellerín, Ivanovic, Schlupp, Bertrand
    Hazard, Silva, Sterling, Henderson, Coutinho
    Vardy, Agüero, Kane

2fts and 0.6m in the bank...

I was thinking with them all having a potentially tough time of it.. maybe I should go PvA as most attacking..? what's the reasoning with Trippier?

        1. JÆKS ⭐
          • 9 Years
          9 years, 7 days ago

Moreno not nailed on anymore I think and against Chelsea so he's out of the picture for me.
And I reckon Everton's attack is better than Hull's.
Trippier likes to go forward and if they get a cs by any luck, most likely to grab some baps as well.

So basically it's PVA or Trippier, although Hull is in form and fighting against relegation, I think chances are higher that Burnley gets the cs.

But ask around tomorrow to get some more responses !

          1. ellelelle
            • 9 Years

The Everton attack being better than Hulls is what I thought you were going with alright.. it does worry me that Hull still have a lot to play for but maybe you are right. Hull might be easier to defend against ultimately, and possibly score against. It might be a more open game? Everton are looking more dominant lately..

            Thank you for explaining 🙂
