The ScoutCast – Episode 161 – Kahunas

This week’s episode of the ScoutCast certainly doesn’t lack “Kahunas” but it does go without my nasal tones.

Another bout of man-flu got the better of me this week but, rather than can the episode, I allowed the lunatics to take over the asylum and run this nonsense without me. Granville and Jonty rise to the occasion, ably abetted by this week’s star guest, Jack Wain – previously number two in the world and still part of the pack giving chase to former guest, Simon March.

Jack makes his appearance just as his gutsy gamble to ignore the sure-fire Sergio Aguero captaincy backfires. Granville and Jonty analyse his brave fall from grace, while quizzing our FPL luminary on the Gameweek 37 double and the great Eden Hazard dilemma, all courtesy of another round of questions from you, the community.

This week’s episode was beamed live via the magic of Google Hangouts on Tuesday evening. You can view that webcam wonder via the larger player below.

For the polished, directors cut audio version, you’ll be needing this link or the smaller player below.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel to get up alerts on further live ScoutCasts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Doesn't seem to be an update on Debuchy, though. Not sure if that is good or bad. He was ruled out yesterday

      Sounds positive for Ramsey. Still think he's almost guaranteed to miss either the Sunderland or WBA game though.

          Well they've got the FA Cup final coming up and he's clearly not 100% fit. Wilshere is gunning for a start too.

          Obviously struggling and Wilshire gives him an option that he might quite like to take to give him some minutes.

        As a lot of people do I have Ramsey and Hazard.
        As rotation risks I think it critical one has good benchers for the last 2 weeks.
        Hence the worry of overload on Sunderland.
        Definitely worried about swings and roundabouts.

    Getting a third Arsenal player for a hit. Which moves looks best? (lost at bottom of page)

    A.) Toby > Koscielny. Bench Ivanovic.
    B.) Hazard > Ozil.
    C.) Benteke > Giroud.

    Looking at A because it also benefits next week as well.

    Looking at this: http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2015/05/15/gameweek-37-best-punts/

    Walters ----> Gomez for a hit.

    Even remotely worth it? Chasing the leader with a total of 4 points difference.

    (Been leading the whole season, only losing out my top spot last week to a ridiculous 3-man Lei defense, including Kasper, crazy.)

          Not quite - Kane's all round game looks so much better than Carroll's ever did, but I do see your point.

          The link is inevitable - United will be looking at strikers, Kane has had a good season, the papers need to generate rumours to bait people.

          I cannot see Spurs selling him this summer under any circumstances either way.

            Yeah he's better than Carroll, but plenty of strikers have had one good season - no one was paying £40m for Kevin Phillips or Darren Bent. I just think people are going overboard with Kane, Aguero cost less than £40m and Kane will never ever be in that league.

            1. Hank Scorpio
              • 12 Years

              I agree, Kane needs at least another good season before he can be viewed as the real deal.

              Plenty of strikers have had one golden season before and then sunk without trace.

      Andy Carroll. Steer clear from Kane, he's average.

      he will be worth that after next season. Utd have so much money, so the papers can fill their back pages with stories like this

      Worth all depends what someone is willing to pay.

      I know you can't really compare because English players are stupid money but that would make him more expensive than Alexis Sanchez....

        And Aguero, and Costa, and Fabregas, and Hazard. He's not worth anywhere near £40-45m, I'd say around £20m.

      I'd say he's worth around £30m so it's not too far off.

    Even Sunderland is too soon for Debuchy if he only started training yesterday imo.

      Ramsey didn't train all week last week and was fine. Debuchy is tough 🙂

        They've had very different seasons though.

      I would tend to agree, but do I have the balls to get Bellerin in is another question!

    Getting rid of Berahino for a Sunderland striker... Defoe or Graham (reckon his goal will give him a boost) ?

      Maybe Graham actually, hadn't thought much about him.

    Could I get some ideas here please?

    Panti
    Pva Cresswell Ivan
    Sanchez Ozil Henderson Adam
    Giroud Aguero Vardy

    Schmeichel Hazard Schlupp Chester

    1ft, 0 in bank.

    Currently thinking Adam -> Gomez, what would you do?

      Thanks both. Have 3 Arsenal already though and would only need 1 transfer gw38 anyway, barring injuries.

    I have £2000 at stake here fellas!

    I already have Sanchez and Ramsey

    A) Clyne to Kosc

    B) Haz to Caz

    I'm leaning towards B

      Same position but for around 1K

      Im leaning towards Berti to Kos

      Alltho it depend on if your nearest rival has Caz

    quick poll:

    Have 3 ARS (Kos / Sanchez / Giroud_
    Have 2 SUN (Panti / PVA)

    1FT:

    A) Sterling -> Gomez
    B) Henderson -> Gomez
    C) Kane -> Wickham
    D) Kane ->Defoe

    At the moment its Sterling -> Gomez for me.

    thoughts?
