An inauspicious start at Old Trafford leads us into four more Premier League encounters, with all three promoted sides in action.

Bournemouth host Aston Villa at “Vitality Stadium” (no really), Norwich take on Alan Pardew’s emerging Palace lineup at Carrow Road, while Watford make the testing trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.

Leicester and Sunderland complete the quartet, with Claudio Ranieri making his Premier League return in the Foxes hot-seat as he locks horns with Black Cats boss, Dick Advocaat.

These four matches are followed by the late kick-off at Stamford Bridge as champions Chelsea open their account against Garry Monk’s Swansea.

      Not really. He finished last season well, playing in 'the hole'. Played well pre season, in the same position. At 5.5M he looked a great pick.

          He wasn't first choice all the time but he scored a brace last season too and showed promise when he played. I think he had few injuries and the AFCON didn't help either.

          ? His stats were excellent . For what ever reason they did not convert into fpl terms . He moved position and is now on pens which obviously helped but he was doing all the right things last year aswell . Not luck that this happened imo

      Luck is part of the game not sure how having Mahrez was luck though as he was one of the main targets for those who needed to have a cheap mid.

    Is the transfer page on FPL updating for everyone else or have FPL Towers not switched it on yet? The transfer page is indicating zero transfers in and out for me. There would normally be a couple of thousand showing by now.

        Thanks for the reply Fred. It used to update the TIR and TOR every half hour or so. An early sign they are going to hide more data? But if so, why leave TIR and TOR in the list. Maybe, like you say, it's just a bit slow kicking into action. (Not match fit!)

    Fpl app says I've the bench boost played which I didn't touch all Summer but on the laptop it says I've no chips played which is what I wanted. Don't have any points off the bench so not sure if it's used or not. Has this happened to anyone else?

            Well played. In you're case, I would keep him. I'm just assuming Albrighton will rise at least one within this week. Leaving me with Hoolahan, Davis, Aarons and potentially Ibe as well as Odemwingie. Not bad.

        I don't know where or when, in all honesty I don't remember. But I remember one thing, about a week ago when I asked if Mahrez was a good 4th mid or not someone laughed at me... I didn't care and went with my guts. So, who's laughing now? bahahahahahah

          For a 4th MID hes a great option as long as you use that money on a great 3rd striker.

          I have Mahrez as 4th MID which lets me have: Kane, Benteke, Pelle.
