Fantasy Football Scout Cups – Fourth Round Draws

This afternoon we reveal the results from the third rounds of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII and Members Cup VI as well as roll out the fourth round draws that take place in Gameweek 26.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII, all three remaining former winners were ousted, with mch failing in his encounter with Liastro, Wild Rover narrowly losing 64-65 to genkimcclure and Donnellyc missing the chance to replicate his previous success after being soundly beaten 76 points to 54 by dumdumm5.

With a new name guaranteed on the trophy, then, Mr Rabbit will be among the favourites – sitting in 654th position in FPL, he is the highest-ranked manager left in the competition and faces Dr Congo in the fourth round.

Other notable Round 4 ties include whatsupgeeza, who defeated the previous highest-ranked manager Chucky 77 and earns a match against Silva Surfers.

Meanwhile, the custodian of our suspension tightrope Anorak, takes on coffee-geek and our resident physiotherapy expert Facer, who defeated community writer Bowstring the Carp in Round 3, faces Rickytoso.

The full Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII results from Round 3 can be found here, while the Round 4 draw can be found here.

A new name will also be on the Members Cup this year after all former winners departed back in the first round.

Frontrunners include 551st placed Peadarb, the highest ranked manager left in the competition. He faces Alzo Utd in Round 4. Another is former FPL champion Dufflinks (aka Simon March), who has an encounter with kula hiyo fc in Round 4.

The full Members Cup Round 3 results can be found here, while the Round 4 draw can be found here.

      Alli

      Mahrez punishes those who bench
Payet likely to tear up against Norwich who have conceded 16 in 5
Firmino in good form and come up against bottom place Villa
Sanchez is explosive and Ars v Leis I suspect has goals in it

Alli comes up against City who possibly could be playing Kompany who unifies the City defence

Doesn't matter if Kompany is back, they are still playing the most attacking team in the league... Mahrez for me. Alli also punishes those that bench him (especially away games)

    Backline is currently

    Butland / Hennessey
    Dawson (!) / Bellerín / Sagna (!) / Alderweireld / van Dijk

Need a Sagna or Dawson replacement. have 1 FT luckily.

Is it worth bringing in a Leicester defender now?

    Current midfield is:

    Arnie - Payet - Sanchez - Ali - Mahrez

I'd like to get rid of Arnie but can't think of a cheap replacement. I could use 2FT and get:

    Barkley - Payet - Ozil - Ali - Mahrez

    Worth it?

alright Costa and Silva news mean that move is off

2FT and 2.8m in the bank.

    ...............Butland
    ....Toby - Bellerin - Ward
    Alli - Sanchez - Payet - Ozil
    ....Kane - Vardy - Aguero

    McCarthy; Stanislas, Sagna, Simpson

Sagna to Soton defender and save my 2nd FT and do Stanislas > Mahrez next week and play my AOA chip before finally selling Payet for GW28 against Spurs and return to 4-man mid.

Or if Sanchez is bad again, Sanchez to Mahrez instead.

    So, VVD, Fonte or Bertrand?

I don't think so, Bournemouth took the game to Arsenal, only for Peter Cech being a hero. Leicester will pummel on arsenals defence with their speed and tenacity.

Their will be goals, I don't think this will be a dull affair and on that I guess Mahrez has a good chance to be involved

If Flamini and Mertesacker play, I may live to regret it, but I think we will see Coquelin and Gabriel play, in which case hard to see too many goals at the arsenal end.

You're stats for benching him are good then. Bench him so we can all captain him

Which 3 to play from this defence?

    A) Alderweireld
    B) Azpilicueta
    C) Bellerin
    D) Simpson
    E) Nyom

I'm definitely thinking B, and given the strong possibility of goals in both the Arsenal/Leicester and City/Spurs games it could be a good time to give Nyom a spot too.

I was thinking the same but Nyom has delivered very little in the past 8-10 weeks. Think I'd be inclined to risk Simpson or Toby

Cheers, I'm still tempted though as Palace have been on a bad run and I don't think it's a huge risk as I'm fairly sure that I won't be getting clean sheet points from Bellerin, Toby and Simpson anyway.

Having second thoughts of captaining Lukaku now that Silva is back but I think Tottenham defence is solid enough to keep it tight

Just seen a post on Facebook saying that Costa says himself that he'll play this weekend. Any truth in this? Or is it just another Paddy Power publicity post?

    a) Play Wollscheid (bou)?
b1) Or use 2nd FT on Sagna out, VVD in?
b2) Wimmer in, and only 92% chance of having 11 playing in GW34

Already used 1.FT on Moreno instead of Sagna.. obv AV will now fail to score or Moreno get attacking points.

Which order do l bench Simpson and Targett?

I can't really see Simpson keeping a cleanie but then Targett will surely not start.

If you aren't sure play Targett, he'll unlikely be brought on if he doesn't start. It's a dangerous game but might pay off.
