Foresight – that precious gift that that can bless any Fantasy Football manager. We need it now more than ever.

As Jonty, Andy and myself struggle with the countless permutations offered up by the looming double Gameweeks, we can only hope that our mutterings and musings come laced with just a little dash of foresight.

Steered by an array of community questions targeting the possibilities of the fixture pile-up to come, the three of us discuss the best-laid plans in attempt to jolt our squads out of the current rut.

Around the early double Gameweek discussion, we chew over the optimum blank-dodging strategies as Sigurdsson, Spurs and Stoke top the menu of options. Then, inevitably, we turn attentions to the immediate job at hand, as we preview the weekend and pinpoint potential clean sheets and “Fantasy Island Risks”.

      Vardy will be heavily owned and captained this week, Norwich are in my eyes the weaker opposition. I'm happy enough just to own payet as there is still alot if people without him.

      I'd probably summarise it as:

      Payet - pros: additional midfield goal points, capable of big hauls, in form. Cons: fairly inconsistent, higher chance of blanking.

      Vardy - pros: consistent points scorer, most advanced player and always threatening, will certainly get chances, top (or joint top) of key goal threat tables. Cons: often gets points but not HUGE points, most hauls I believe have actually come in tougher games.

      I'm currently on Vardy, but certainly merits to both.

    Guys, am I right in thinking that Mahrez vs Vardy (vs Payet) is a lot closer than we initially think?

    This has all the wrappings for a Mahrez mega haul, but because he lacks 4GW stats, and Vardy has the pens, everyone is going Vardy?

    And Sunderland is entering the BFS lol what's relegation phase.

    I probably don't have the balls to deviate from Vardy - all I'm saying 🙁

    So it seems like things have changed multiple times over the last week or so..

    Stuck between Ivanovic / VvD / Bellerin.

    I was initially on VvD, but when I asked on here, I got a resounding "Ivanovic" answer from a load of people.

    Then I asked it again, and was told Bellerin was the only one with a chance of a CS, so I stuck him in.

    Now what's the favoured option, back on the home defender in VVD??

    Current team for this week looks something like this:

    Schmeichel
    Rose - Bertrand - Daniels
    Stanislas - Payet - Alli - Mahrez - Sanchez
    Kane - Vardy

    Hennessey - Azpilicueta - Smalling - Aguero

    1 FT and 1m in the bank - Anything else need massively changing? I'd prefer someone different to Stanislas but for 5.2m I'm not sure what I really get (if I'd made the Vardy move earlier I could have afforded Antonio).

    Maybe change a defender for a Stoke one but I like Smalling's fixtures after this week for next couple.

    Thoughts?

      I reckon rolling the transfer is wise - having 2 FTs is always good but when the fixture list keeps changing it's really useful to be able to react.

    Have exactly 11 starting players this gw, should I hope both Targett and Kane start and save FT or should I use that FT and do, say, Firmino -> Arnie, and bench Targett, just to be safe?

      It's very likely we'll start with Targett IMO. Been playing well enough and he likes going for 5 defenders in home games against the better teams recently.

      Butland probably. The defenders from Leicester + Saints have decent attacking potential as opposed to the Stoke defenders.
