Really tempted to move Deu if Lukaku is fit. Question how many minutes he'll get.

Hmmm... do you think they'll block him from leaving? I can't understand why they don't cash in on him and get a really decent striker who actually wants to be there!

From last years experience where Everton blocked Stones from going to Chelsea i can see the same happening again. But i also cant find a reason to keep a player who wants to leave

Supposedly the club hasn't received a bid for him yet. Could be a case of the asking price being too high though.

Don't believe what you read in the papers.

Lukaku is now apparently very happy to stay and the inside word is he'll be signing a new contract soon to stay with the toffees.

Regarding Deu, it's too early to know how Lukaku will effect his minutes. Lukaku could even improve his minutes and potential if Koeman sees him as a striking partner up front with Lukaku.

Wait and see for me, but both are firmly on my watchlist.

    A. Townsend > Ramirez + 1m ITB

    My current team for GW2:

    Foster
    Valencia Stones Kingsley
    Firmino Mahrez Hazard Routledge
    Vardy Aguero Gray
    (Jakupovic / Amat Redmond Friend)

Captain will probably be Kun. Good to go? Or should I bench Routledge for Redmond or play both Swansea defenders in a 433 and bench both Routledge & Redmond? Appreciate any advice, thanks guys.

thanks for the replies guys, think I'll play Redmond over Routledge too since he's playing as a forward. I'm only playing Kingsley over Amat because he scored more points last week lol...and some people think he might not start, so if that's the case Amat will sub in for him. Redmond over Routledge it is, hope I don't regret it!

Taylor likely to start over Kingsley with Kingsley coming on after 70 mins for a tiring Taylor .... would mean Amat would not comment on and get you points.

        Play Amat ?

You guys would play Redmond over Routledge?

One plays a team who had last season's best home defensive record, and the other plays a newly promoted side in what will be their first away match.

I know which one I'd play and it ain't Redmond. 😉

      1. Helia
        • 8 Years

Yeah but one is routlege and one is redmond

        1. devils advocate

Lol, is Redmond that much better now because he scored in gw1?

Come on now let's be realistic. Redmond probably has just that little bit more quality when it comes to his end product and will probably be the better option this season as an OOP, but if we're being real they are very similar players with similar histories. That is bit part players that can return attacking points now and then.

If we're looking at this gw in isolation, then I think the factors I mentioned are better to consider regarding which has the best potential this gw.

          Just my opinion of course.

Kingsley for now, but Taylor played nearly a full match for the U23s last night so I'd say he's close to full fitness and should be in the squad soon. If not this week then GW3 - ie. get rid of Kingsley soon

Who should be the last starter - Stones (stk) or Evans (EVE) ?

Stones . Spread the risk imo

    2. b✪mber

Look at Stones vs Evans in isolation - who do you think will get more (out of 10000 repetitions of their respective GW2 fixture) points? doubling up has nothing to do with it

      1. Tabasco
        • 13 Years
        7 years, 8 months ago

Key word being think. When you don't know an outcome you take a greater risk putting more chips in for it. Looking at players in isolation is a pretty poor strategy, especially in the long-run.

      2. Postman Ty
        • 9 Years
        7 years, 8 months ago

agreed, people lose so many potential points by trying to spread risk and whatever nonsense, playing attackers against their own defence etc...
for example i'm backing a united clean sheet this week and redmond is firmly on the bench.

    3. VanDerStar
      • 12 Years

    Gw2

    Foster (jaku)
    Stones amat shaw (morgan friend)
    Hazard eriksen firmino redmond (fletcher)
    Aguero (c) ibra diamonde
Does this starting 11 looks fine? Didnt do any transfer with 1 m in bank as GW 1 ended with 74 pts.
Any captain preference can chane to firmino may be. Any suggestion?

Looks a fairly solid team. I'd find 1m from somewhere (plus your 1m ITB) and upgrade diamande to a 6.5 striker who's more solid. Also not sold on Leicester defenders, they're badly missing Kante.

Yes will be testing this team for this GW and then go for a double transfer.Diamonde was a gamble last week that worked not expecting anything more from him now.

There are fans that are not keen on Taylor because he was caught out of position a few times last season which resulted in a few goals ... but they fail to understand that Montero is rubbish defensively and exposes the full back. Swans started with 3 defensive (ish) mids in Fer, Cork and Britton (and Montero did not start) which means Kingsley was protected - Gylfi will start this week at the expense of defensive Britton

Ignore a handful of fans, Taylor is just as likely to start as Kingsley this week and will start next week ...

Agreed... and sadly it means Cazorla drops deeper. I rate him, very creative and always able to slip the killer pass but just doesn't get backed by the gaffer enough. He'd be a great asset at 7.5 if his spot was guaranteed

It only takes one decent striker who can head a ball to make any team's wingers viable once more. Zaha, Punchy and Townsend could be fantasy gold if Tekkers starts nodding all those tasty crosses in. Gayle and Wickham aren't that sort of player. Look at Carroll... end product on a corner or cross is just awesome, Tekkers isn't dissimilar

Only transfer I am considering is Deulofeu > Redmond.

With Lukaku likely to return will it be Deu that sacrifices his spot? Redmond looks superb value however I already have Tadic.

Is it too much to go with both Tadic AND Redmond in the mid?

It looks possible that Redmond may rise in price towards the end of the week and I would want to transfer him in before that occurs.

Or should i stick with Deu for another week?

    Cheers

Save transfer or Morgan -> Williams?
Have Kone (Boro @ home), Stones (Stoke, Away) Valencia (Saints @ home) starting for now.

Save transfer. Use 2 next week.

That defence is solid enough to hold for 1 week. Get 2 FT and broaden your options for next week

Is cabaye a starter for palace? Benched in GW 1 due to Euros right?

I'd imagine he's pretty nailed when fit. Probably their best player.

Thanks . I thought so too. When he got benched last week I believe it's due to euros

Were Leicester that bad? I'm looking at next three fixtures over just GW2

Not terrible but not great. No Kante will hurt their CSs this season. Stones could be a season keeper I think.

Also I don't have Hazard, so if I save this week, I could get him next week for free with 2 transfers

Do people here really know how hard stoke (A) is for any player? Don't understand why Aguero is such a (C) favor.

    1. NilSatisNisiOptimum78
      • 13 Years

Because he's proven repeatedly he can score against any team, home or away.

Butland is a big reason for that and his out.

Oh yeah, and his apprentice is 86 years old and rubbish.

Isn't that a bit of a joke these days? I think that was more the case when they first got promoted under Pulis.

      Hard to say.

A confident Chelsea could, but Watford isn't an easy match on their home turf.

I think Chelsea might just sneak a win in a close one.
