If Kun is benched tonight, and I expect him to be benched vs Middlesborough too, he doesn't actually have that busy a schedule really

No, and whatever plans Pep has for Aguero in the summer, he needs him now more than ever. The defense is weak and they need to score goals. Iehenacho is out of favour and the false nine never really worked out really well. Pep must turn to Aguero now, and big him up with confidence and regular play rather than benching him for midfielders or Ihenacho imo

Agree. Don't even think Pep is that stupid/arrogant to cut off his nose and not play Aguero and limit the chance of ending the season with a positive finish.

Even if he's not rested tonight, he's just had a rest this weekend and hasn't played that many games this season anyway.

True, true. I think the rotation fears are being a bit overegged in Aguero's case. The defence/mids are slightly more at risk of rotation I think due to him having more options there but realistically he's not going to play Nacho in the Prem when Aguero is fit, why would he

Yeah I agree. Would be more of a fool than we think of him to not play Sergio as much as possible from here on in. Then wait to the summer to sign his "own" striker.

yeah, heeds needs playingtime too to find form, and would be able to play 3 games in 10 days and then rest vs Boro I would think

To be fair like Smurf said above hes just had a rest and hasnt played much this season so he could play tonight as well and still start all the others I reckon. He needs playing time

    Randolph, Jaku
    Alonso, Coleman, Evans, Holebas, Holgate
    Firmino, Siggy, Phillips, Eriksen, Fletch
    Costa, Kane, Lukaku

GW 27 Eriksen, Costa > Sterling, Kun for -4
    GW 28 Sterling > King
GW 29 Phillips, Firmino, Kun > Eriksen, Sanchez, Costa for -8

Good plan? I really want Eriksen and Sanchez. Any other way to do it with less hits? Thank you for your help here guys!

ML leader 70pts ahead and I'm sitting 2nd. He has no City coverage and has already used his wildcard. I'm not too bothered about overall rank do I just go for it to hunt him down?

GW27: Lukaku, Alli, Kingsley > Aguero, Sterling & Mawson (-8)

GW28: Aguero, Zaha > Lukaku, King (-4) would give me 8 playing.

Disagree. I think they look like sound moves.

Getting two DGW players and also removing a non playing player for a player who plays GW28.

        Looks good to me.

I'm not thinking straight am I haha! I just fancied Costa against WHam more than Lukaku away at the lane.

It's all guess work really, Costa could blank and then I'd regret selling Lukaku.

Maybe Costa to Aguero and Dele to Sterling is the way forward like for many others.

No it wouldn't, it's just a risk that might be worth taking. Who would play if you didn't bring in mawson

            • 7 Years
            7 years, 2 months ago

Basically, my current team to play GW27 with no transfers mentioned above would be.

            Jaku
            Baines, Alonso, Brunt
            Siggs, Mane, Alli, Zaha,
            Lukaku, Kane, Costa

            Heaton, de Roon, Ake, Kingsley.

So Mawson isn't essential, it was just trying to get my team a bit more ready for GW28.

Can easily cover those 70 points if played Patiently.
      Don't take so many Hits.
Just Take Aguero and Sterling and reduce the Gap to 30/40 then wait for DGW to Overtake him.

      1. Dele
        • 7 Years

Solid advice. I got him to within 17pts and then he captained the Lukaku and Kane hauls which I didn't. Patience is needed.

His coverage for 28 is pretty poor too so just trying to capitalise on that also.

Thoughts on this for next week?

    Jaku

    Brunt-Alonso-Walker

    Siggy-Mane-Sane-Phillips

    Aguero(c)-Ibra-Kaku

    Pope-Coleman-Davies-Robertson

Can field 9 next week pre transfers so was thinking Aguero out for a 1 week punt then Kane and Alli in for GW 29 by binning Sane as well...

About this TC thing, some are saving it for Sanchez later on. But when Sanchez get's a DGW, wouldn't most other teams from GW28 get a DGW too? And wouldn't it be better using the Bench Boost for that?

Or is there another Arsenal DGW people are talking about?

    Just thinking about future DGWs.

Say Man City beat Monaco and Middlesbrough. Won't they have another DGW somewhere?
Similarly say Arsenal beat Lincoln. Won't they have another DGW somewhere?
Finally say Man Utd beat Chelsea (or the other way around) and Man Utd progress in the EL - won't they have another DGW somewhere?

So what are the potential DGWs and which is the best fixtures wise for us to use our TC. GW37 looks like the wildcard GW36 / bench boost GW37 combo.

Assuming City beat Huddersfield tonight, and dgw27 for City and Stoke is confirmed:

I currently have 9 players for gw28, and that's counting Stanislas, Phillips and Evans, so not necessarily water tight.

The easy way to get Aguero in is Lukaku -> Kun and downgrade a bit in midfield (maybe even Mané -> Sterling). The problem with that is that it leaves me with even fewer players for gw28.

What would you do with this? Any input appreciated!

    Heaton Foster
    Alonso Baines Ward Friend Evans
    Eriksen Mané Sigurdsson Phillips Stanislas
    Ibrahimovic Lukaku Defoe

There was a TRIPLE gameweek last season, wasn't there? I want to say Everton... What were the exceptional circumstances that caused that, and how likely are we to see that again later this season (per'aps with Utd players due to their involvement in cups?)

Not last season no. This is my 9th season and I can't remember one although I've heard it said it has happened once.

I think Birmingham had a triple game week once - about 7 seasons ago.

No, there were only 3 DGWs last year (GW33, GW34, GW37).

      No TGW.

Anyone else think a nice safe Hazard>Sterling(c) or similar is the sensible move this week? I own Ibra and Kane and can't sell for Aguero as I would lose to much.

Upgrading Carroll would require an 8 point hit selling Firmino & Hazard which seems madness to me...!

    Sterling(TC) anyone?

I'd trade out Costa. It's bout point now now money.

My dear commenters, I pose yee thise:

80 points behind my coveted mini-league leader.

I very much doubt he can bring Aguero in this week. Would you do:

Hazard and Benteke to Sterling and Aguero for a minus 4? - I'll leave the TC conundrum out of this, I know it's causing headaches...

    That will leave me with:

    Foster (Grant)
    Holebas Alonso Fernandez (Keane, Amat)
    Sterling Lallana Eriksen Phillips (Capoue)
    Aguero (c) Ibra Lukaku

I feel like Lallana and Phillips need to go although I should prioritise bringing Sergio in. Any thoughts welcome!

I would. I take it has to be Hazard that goes?

Cheers guys. Yeah I like having Hazard in there (and I actually lost about .5m in putting him in for Sanchez who I'd had for ages) and I'm reluctant to lose him. But yes I agree - I feel like I need to catch an Aguero windfall that rivals may miss if I'm going to get back in it.

I still have WC TC BB and AAA chips.

I'm sure it's been asked already but what are people's plans for Gameweek 28

As it stands I have 7 starting players 8 if you include Amat from Swansea.

So thinking of not making any transfers this week and then transferring in 3 players for 3 who aren't featuring and taking a -4 hit.

Anyone else thinking of doing the same?

Thousands will do the same and more!
I'm taking a hit this week and one next week so I can field 9.
We'd all have more if it weren't for City double.

    2)alli>>sterling

I would not get Pedro with a blank incoming and no DGW.
It may hurt but what about Manè for the extra needed for Sane or Sterling? Then do City mid > Coutinho for 28?

    A) Kane and Eriksen to Sterling and Kun (-4)
    B) Kane to Kun for free (Captain Kun)

Ahead in one ML by 50 and second in another by 60. All chips remaining. Will buy back Kane for 29.

hey guys, in case MCI progress, i would have the exact cash to do:
    1] Kane + Stan --> Sane + Kun for a -4

    other options would be:
2] just do Stan --> one of Sterling/Sane
3] just do one of Kaku/Kane --> Kun but then i am stuck with Stan

IMO it makes sense to keep both Antonio and Carroll as they both have GW 28 fixtures.

    Current Team:

    Grant (Pick)
    Alonso/Walker/Coleman/Brunt (A. Smith)
    Siggy/Mane/Allen (Antonio*/Stan*)
    Kaku/Kane/Carroll*

    1 FT, 4.2 ITB

    Thanks for advice lads
