The Big Numbers – Gameweek 28

Our first members’ article of the week takes a look back at the four fixtures that comprised a somewhat reduced Gameweek 28.

Bournemouth’s hat-trick hero is placed under the microscope as his transfer bandwagon picks up pace. We also cast an eye over Liverpool’s latest source of midfield returns and check up on a Swansea defender whose eye for goal continues to reap the rewards.

How's this wildcard looking?! Suggestions would be helpful.

    0.4itb

    Robles / Jakupovic

Alonso Valencia Walker / Fernandez Yoshida

Alli King Sanchez Siggy / Carroll

    Defoe Lukaku Costa

*will bring gabbiadini in for 30*

I prefer a 352 with Hazard/Barnes instead of Carroll/Costa. Good otherwise. Defoe>Gabby will free some funds up later which is nice.

I'm considering saving a FT and getting Gabbiadini in for GW29. Have you considered that? He could easily score against Spurs.

Depends on your overall WC aim, I'm also on mine at the moment, I'm very keen to have players with DGW's in now. So for example, where you've gone for Carroll & Ferd I've gone for Capoue & Kone, cheap enough to bench until I bench boost in GW37. I prefer to get them in now and stick them on the bench rather than spend transfers on poor, albeit, DGW players later if that makes sense.

Yeah, Cech was the other one I considered, Actually, Caballaro could be an option after GW31 (4 C.S. in last 5).

            Currently going with -
            Pickford De Gea
            Walker Alonso Valencia Kone Yoshida
            Capoue King Siggy Alli Sanchez
            Costa Lukaku Vardy

So I do have 3 non DGW players in there at the mo...I don't see 3 as being too much of an issue. I can do Lukaku to Gabbi next week, leaving me cash to upgrade King when I see fit & also get Lukaku back (for Vardy) in 32 if I wish. That's the rough plan anyway.

              Solid team.

I looked at Caballero, altho he seems nailed now, I just cant have it if Pep decides he wants to field Bravo again, causing headache.

My plan is to have the back 7 and the 5 mids fixed and good to go for dgws, and having cheap frontlines like Gabbi - Deeney - Defoe and then upgrade accordingly.

Cool, Yeah, Caballero will be considered only after 31 and only if I need the extra funds. Gabbi Deeney & Defoe all look good, little worried about Defoes form of late, but expect him to come good again, I'll have him in again before long too no doubt.

WBA players have made total 40 appearances in my team (the most by any team) returning 79 points .

Thanks a lot Evans Brunt Phillips and Rondon.

One lesson i ill carry to next season is not to trust any WBA assets apart from McAuley. Btw who has been your Bogey team this season ?

Chosing Evans over McAuley at the start of the season has been a big mistake

As referendums are bang in fashion right now. Kane & Snodgrass to:

    A) Costa & Son
    B) Gabbiadini & Hazard
    C) Gabbiadini & Alli
    D) Gabbiadini & Mkhi

Rest of front 8: Mane, Siggy, King, Carroll: Lukaku, Aguero.
Thanks - Aguero will go next week or week after probably to facilitate Sanchez.

    WILDCARD TIMING

With the international break coming up, if I wanted to wildcard is it a good idea to WC early and catch the risers and then sit back and assess the situation after the international fixtures?

Or is this not the GW (GW30) to be wildcarding?

    1. Make Arrows Green Again
      • 7 Years

Not for TV at this stage. Too many casuals have dropped out and price rises happen much slower. It's a good idea to activate it to be able to react to injuries that might be picked up in the internationals, but not for risers/fallers.

Thinking of bringing in Gabbiadini after the international break, as 3rd striker, but also keen to retain King as my 5th midfielder, who would generally be benched in a 3-4-3.

Is the money invested in King at 5.5 worth it as no doubt rotation, injuries etc will see autosub in a few times, or is it just a waste?

Just think that swapping out for a 4.5 type midfielder isn't too tempting with a reasonable TV/SV of 106.8/104.9.

    Any thoughts?

Sounds good. King and Gab rotate well for the next 4 GWs - after then you'll probably be ditching King for a DGWer anyway.

Reckon its asking for trouble. Will probably get a fair few bench points.

Bench points and points scored from players not in your squad both score zero for your team - have never understood this argument!

Which is the best to do?

    A) llorente and Tarroll to Barnes and Antonio (-4) (switchd of formation)
    B) take -8 hit and do both
